That's how I rebuilt Sanctuary. Made an entire house, then moved it inside one of the existing buildings. More accurately, built the new interior, tried moving it, cussed at whoever came up with this system, found the bottle/dead radroach/whatever that was blocking me, tried again (and again with renewed cussing), and eventually got it to fit once I figured out I was trying to put it in the wrong existing building.

Another great building tip you can do: make your HUD color fully black. the reason you do that is because for whatever reason, the colored outline matches your HUD color so by making it black, you remove any colored outline and it makes lining things up waaay easier. The red outline doesn't get removed so that helps too

It's hard to explain but you can build the whole thing outside the home and keep checking back using the pillar glitch as you go and repositioning the fixed parts then take it out add a wall ext. and just build the whole thing separate. I've always been of like mind about mods until recently. I limit myself to 3 mods. First is the p-99 pistol which holds 10 rounds of 10mm ammo and does a little less than double damage over the regular 10 mm pistol. I use it for my first 10 levels or so with a new character so that he has a chance to kill someone before he dies. After that I give them all to my settlers that have only a pipe pistol. Second is glowing bodies so I can actually find lootable bodies after a fire fight. Third is My Jetpack. This allows me to cross downtown Boston via the rooftops without my game crashing every half dozen steps. I have also found there is occasional loot on rooftops that was here-to-fore totally unknown and/or inaccessible to me.

Greetings all! Salutations Mr. Zone! First of all, there is no need to apologize for taking breaks/vacations, or for not producing more content. Believe it or not, community members, it's OK to have a day job on the side! Unless Mr. Zone is a synth programmed for engineering and architecture, this intensive building content must take many hours to design and execute. (I came across a different vid last night, but couldn't find it on my communication device, so am addressing Mr. Zone's comments here.) I am playing on an Xbox1 offline at this time, with no mods, no DLC's, original release copy, with no access to a pc, so many of these tricks don't work, but the content is very inspiring nonetheless. Mr. Zone is an excellent tutor, and I always learn alot from viewing his content. I haven't finished building up this settlement site yet, so am looking for all the assistance I can get! My worst personal issue is the respawning ghoul annoyance. If I can't make them disappear for good, (except for the dining room "decoration" hanging through the ceiling, which seems to be a permanent fixture, barring access to console commands and/or mods, I guess I'll have to surrender to the inevitable and go with a messy horror vibe and rename this location "Creep Manor" 😅. Thank you very much, Mr. Zone, for another excitingly educational vid, and IMHO, the solarium is a beautiful and actually historically correct addition. Your music is laudable too. SKÅL!

But now I have a "No Mods Shop Class tutorial" to make it a settlement I'd like. Gotta love fate.

Another great vid Paul. Your creativity is showing no signs of fading, a really unique solution here. As others have said, it is possible to do the whole building in one go, floors, interior walls and all but the door way you made is super clean, whereas doing the entire building in on does leave a janky edge on the right of that doorway. Maybe a combo of the the two methods would be perfection. PLK 👍

All outside walls most walls indoors and al floors and roofs can be fixed in the same way. You need to start at the bottom and build the next floor on top. Pretty hard way of building and I am loving it. You can have Group Manor always almost perfect lol. So my old time teacher, the post trick. The barn post is even better and easier to use. Just one of the four sides of the pole will get you closer to the object, works so with all pillars and posts. So you need to figure out which side that is first. Pick up the post to high or to low or to close by, the trick won't work or your view will be hindered, so place and angle are indeed the worst part to figure out. Save and quick saves are both mandatory. a save for each floor maybe even two hard saves for each floor.

Nice to see you back on building again. My last Crucks... Croup Manor build is quite old by now on my part-time Raider Boss. I made extensive use of the white and red checkered floor from the creation club because it's such a damn game changer. I also build a glass walled garden on the damaged roof but I prefer to stay in the boundaries of this white rim. Most of the times I start there and build down from it until I have a clean level pass into the existing structure. Which means I have to stick in the wall extra but I don't mind that if the roofs better align with the existing walls. But I'm also that crazy to re glas the windows...
@elected0nes7413 ай бұрын
Yep, I fix the Croup Manor myself every time I play FO4, but I use the console command to actually duplicate good sections of the original floor and walls. Takes a wile to do it this way because they don't lock in place like the building materials from the shop does. Plus, if I remember correctly, you need a mod to place these pieces where you want them. And, I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect this may cause problems with the game because these pieces were not meant to be duplicated in the game in this manner. Using the shop materials is the 100% stable way to do this, and is much easier too. Cool video! 👍👍

I like how you approached it, it looks clean and the plant idea sounds classy. A thought for a future build is that you can fit 4 floor units with the existing frame of the parapets. Wirh this method I had made a build that built upward either 3 or 4 floors higher than the roof. Combining our ideas I like the idea of a tall glass skyscraper-like build and possibly wider wraparound structures that can make use of the existing house windows as vendor windows.

Greetings Paul! Thankyou very much for your response! I enjoy practicing politeness and respectful manners, and if my adress "hah--made you laugh", so much the better! (I had no other reference at the time, so went with "Mr. Zone".😅) But just the same, your content is indeed always top drawer, and it is my habit to state the facts regarding performance, quality, and quantity, etc. People seem to forget nowadays that those with ourstanding talent work hard too, and are human beings like everyone else. I get very annoyed with uncalled-for criticism toward actors, musicians, and content creators, etc. We're all prone to eccentricities, and while unhealthy behavior on the part of a creator (or anyone else) is never acceptable, people in general would be alot happier if they stopped spewing negativity and focused on the positive facts. So THERE! 😃

I agree. However I reserve the right to an occasional sarcastic comment in response for dumb comments. My pet peeve is when someone's entire comment is "First". I let them know that we are all so very proud of them and they will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest commentors of all time. And that their name will be held in the highest regard till the end of time.

Okay, there's an idea, a sunbathing room. I just improvise that area as an open patio. But yeah, that's another idea.

So cool. I would love to see what you do with crap... I mean croup manor. I think it's one of the most challenging but has a ton of potential.

I think it would look really nice if you went another 1/2 floor farther out, so you encapsulate the entire balcony thing, and the white edge bit doesn't end up clipping through the end. You can do planters all around, then. Or a wraparound bench, perhaps. If the angled roof won't work that way, you could just do a flat roof.
@wolfen2109595 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, that wouldn't work, as there is no half window or half roof. There are concrete half walls, and obviously half floors, so it may be possible, but it would not look seamless.

Another thought on what to do with the parapets, especially if you do have them off center where one side has space for plants, but the other doesn't. On the "short" side, you could rug glitch in some counters/bars/etc to cover that strip and also make it look like something that belongs in the room. After all, you need storage for your tea service and a counter for your evening hors d'oeuvres in the solarium before moving to the dining room for the dinner party. 😉
