@@rakkstabber1536 they do allow it, but the project that "got canned" never got cancelled(fallout 3 remake), they got told "hey we cant let you use the original voice lines as we have to legally protect our property, other then that keep working on it." it got scrambled because the person leading the mod team was offered a position at Bethesda itself, and for a Modder that mods Bethesda games that has to be like a dream come true.

I can't remember it ever happening to me in Fallout 4, so it makes me wonder if they purposefully tweaked the NPC pathfinding just to make that possible. If so, I applaud them.

In Fallout 4 it’s just a minor inconvenience. In Fallout 1 it would force you to load a save, and in extreme cases force you to start a new playthrough if the npc blocking you is too strong to kill

Some of your starting equipment actually depends on your tag skills - for example, I'm pretty sure you get a multi-tool if you tag repair, or lockpicks if you tag lockpick

there are a lot more in the works as well, there is fallout Cascadia (Seattle) then there is fallout: a better world (i think that its set in main its also being made by the person who made Alton IL for F3 which was a major new world mod from the dawn of fallout modding) AND fallout new veges legit just had fallout Chicago just get announced as being in the works, not to mention all the legion expansion mods that came out

i played fallout 1 and loved it. you talk about it as though the vast majority is chance but it's very much a numbers game. if you build your character right you'll do well, the game is very fun. you also do start with a weapon and can pick stuff off the corpse in the beginning cave. i did an unarmed build and started with brass knuckles, worked pretty good for me too. it's still really cool though to see people remake the original

Probably your Wish won't become reality. VATS was created as a way of replacing the turn-based combat sistem in fallout 1 and 2, and from then has become a staple of the fallout franchise, so it probably won't be removed. Of you want to play a settlement-building game instead of an rpg, I Will suggest you to not play fallout
