Enhanced Wasteland:
The goal of this preset was to slightly add more vibrance to the wasteland environment in Fallout 4 and make it appear less washed out.There is also usage of other settings that I think make the game look better. You can check out the screenshots on the download page to see how it will look in-game.

Hi everyone. A new version of Enhanced Wasteland is now available for download at NexusMods. There are three different versions this time around: • Main Preset (All effects enabled except DoF) • Depth of Field version (Adds DoF) • Fine Text Edition (Removes blurry/fuzzy text) I hope you enjoy the new version. For those not seeing a difference it is probably the chromatic aberration that is ruining it, turn it off(if you don't know how get a brain cell), after that play the game and press scroll lock to toggle it on/off to judge the difference by yourself.

Razed You should add a toggle key for your DoF version (Pause key), just replace the "#define DOF_ToggleKey RFX_ToggleKey //[undef] //-" under "//>Global Parameters

i would suggest ticking a 1 on the "Cartoon" effect as in sweetfx. it seemed to sharpen the textures just a little bit and help lessen the depth of field

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I am just breaking through with mods. Is there a way to activate the DoF after installing it? It appears to not be working, or I have not turned it on. To confirm, yes I have downloaded the version with DoF.

Nice preset, but I have an issue. I like to use the DOF version, but every time when I'm in powerarmor, the DOF blurres everything. Can anybody help ?

It makes text and pretty much everything else look fuzzy for me. There's a bit of a "TV static" effect on everything that's rendered in 3D. Things are more saturated but the contrast still hasn't really changed.

+gtabro1337 It did get rid of the green tint that's over the game, the downside is red/blue is lot more vibrant now, but yeah a bit of desaturation would do wonders, i really hope there will be Imaginator for fallout4, love that mod lol

Okay, so I did a manual download, and there is one folder in the zip file. Then, when I double click it, there are all the files. Do I have to drag all those files in or just the folder that has them.

OKay.. so this weird thing just happend to me. I started the game with the mod correctly installed. my fps a nice 57-60. Then i went to a area when looking at the first town in the game from a distance. fps 56-60, stay's the same. BUT THEN, SUDDENLY without me doing anyting, my fps drops to 33-40. Anyone know what the hell just happend??????? If I reload the game nothing improves. If i RESTART my pc and then F4, it beggins with the 57-60 fps again.

+Dougy doug Check your task manager and see if you have a "jusched" process that's running and using quite a bit of CPU. If it doesn, it's problably a bitcoin miner that masks himself as the Java Update Scheduler and uses your GPU to mine bitcoins. This makes your games run slow. These bitcoin miners also work only if your internet connection is on and will stop if you are offline (easy way to test).

NickoTyn THANKS! What the hell is a bitcoin miner? (Bitcoins are some kind of digital money right?) I wil test it and turn of the internet while playing. Next to that i have to tell you this: After my post you replied to, i used MSI Afterburner to SEE what my GPU temperature is. fan speed. CPU usage.. The problem was simply that my GPU was getting to hot. above 90 degrees. And GPU usage 95 to 100 % in the game. at max. BUT!! My CPU usage is at 60 % or lower!? That's not normal right? Its working on half its strenght. Ans its not THAT strong. a intel,i5,3.1 mGhz quad core. I don't see Jusched running in my task manager now, and i don't have Java.... So that's not it then? :(

If your GPU is getting that hot it's 100% a bitcoin miner, but maybe now they found other means of concealing it. There are people who build specialized computers with powerful video cards to mine bitcoins (they do many calculations and generate bitcoin codes that they activate and get bitcoins. Video cards are very good at this kind of thing). So some, did some virus that infects users with good video cards to use them to generate those bitcoin codes. Try to search on google about bitcoin miner viruses. You could also try a scan with Anti MalwareBytes, but I am not even sure that it would find it. These kind of processes are not exactly viruses. Also, try to look at task manager to see what process uses more CPU than it should. Then you can right click it and click "Go to file location" to see the infected file and delete it. That's how I found out that I had an infected jusched.exe copied in a strange location (not the usual place you would find the Java Update Scheduler). Edit: After replying I went on to search and found out that other users found out that a WDM.exe process was causing their problem. Here's another way you could find the problem: -keep MSI Afterburner open and look for the GPU temp/usage. -start slowly closing processes from task manager while looking at the GPU temp/usage. It should cool down when you close the infected process. Also, after you close this process, it will probably open again on itself and then you can right click it > go to file location > and delete it (you have to end the process again before deleting it). NickoTyn Thanks again. I have to say, this problem. I will check that link. You said that you 100 % sure its a bitcoin miner if its getting that hot? Is it not fallout 4 wich is badly optimized? (i heard) Tough i just turned the graphics in the game low so the GPU usage was no a good below 70 %. Ans STILL my GPU temperature was growning to 82 degrees. getting hotter from 70 to 82 in the beginning while my GPU was not even working hard! Also yesterday i decided to clean my pc of dust. I thought well there's going to be a LOT of dust, never cleaned it, have the pc for 15 months. Well there was not a lot of dust and i removed some, so that can't be it either. You know what i talk to you later, FIRST i am going to check how to GPU temperature is while playing MGS5. If its the same i know its fallout 4 fault. talk to you later.

NickoTyn well with the other game it was the same temperature. BUT when i play fallout 4 without internet. (unplugging in after i started the game with steam). It has no effect. Maby me GPU is just not strong enough to handle the mods etc etc.. But how hot should a GPU be then. My specs at MGS5 where: GPU temperature.88 degrees.GPU usage: 60 %. fan usage: 100 %. CPU usage: 60 %. Is that normal? Maby my GPU still has to much dust on it, i don't know.

Lo he probado, jugando en ultra a 4k si que noto una bajada de 5 fps aproximadamente (nada demasiado importante) contando que mi media suelen ser 45-50 fps, lo que si que te digo es que he notado algunos problemas con algunos colores y algunas cosas que no me han gustado, yo personalmente jugare el juego Vanilla (sin mod alguno) y mas adelante ya tendremos mods e injectors mas trabajados.

looks like that mod disable TXAA and re enable FXAA that lowers image quality after that I got some blinking effect at edges of letters and objects.

+Ripper it dosen&#39 it dosen't disable txaa moron, if its off than you turn it off, it didn hack into your fucking computer and changed your settings, turn off fxaa and chromatic abbration in the sweetfx settings and your good to go.

I'm using this and I think it's a great mod. I have one quick query though. It creates what looks like scratches/marks through your vision near the top part of the screen. I notice this when outside and looking at a blue sky. I know it's not my monitor for example because as soon as I disable (Scoll Lock key) they vanish! Anyone else experienced anything similar?

Color perception is so context sensitive, you shouldn't judge something based on how it looks in a KZbin video sharing screen space with other stuff, or if you're constantly switching back and forth between the game and other things. Optimizing colors so they pop in a KZbin video or a twitch stream that's sharing screen space with four other things is like compressing the hell out of audio so it sounds good on tiny earbuds and crappy laptop speakers.
