Warning to those using Windows 10 like myself, SweetFx is not working with the current DirectX12 so some ENB's that relie on some SweetFx presets to look as intended like the "The ENB of the Apocalypse" ENB will not look as good :(

I'm trying to install Realism ENB and have followed the instructions to the dot. What I find peculiar is that the instrutions say to add the Realism files first, check them in the data files, and then add the d3d9.dll from the enbseries website. Anyone know what I should do? All that changes is that the sun has a glare to it. I've installed many ENBS before (New Vegas, but same thing) and this hasn't happened before.

I was using midhrastic enb earler today but switched ot realism enb and goddam does it look better and it even perfroms better too im also using the enb on fnv with ttw which looks great as well.

Hey, I know it has been eight years since you last uploaded this, but I really need help with properly installing the Realism ENB. If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it! I have installed and used other ENB's before but the description for installing and extracting the "files" to the main folder is just too broad and there is no enb 0.237 download for fallout 3 anymore I am using the latest 0.4 one. Please help anyone!!

I wish the Fallout enbs were as extensive as those for Skyrim. It doesn't hold a candle to Skyrim's ENBs. I don't even think they are worth it because of the bad AA.

Trying to install this just crashes my game. just the same with any other mods unfortunately over a course of 3 months i've installed the game 4 times but still eventually when i get too many mods i cant figure out wich one is causeing the crash and i've done all the crash fixes for the game also. overall fallout 3 is shit when it comes to modding, unless you know your shit and wich mods cause these crashes.... i've given up fallout 4 is just around the corner anyways, it might have something to do with me running "win 8.1" but idk

+Kim ster Fallout 3 doesn't run on win 8. It doesn't even run on 7, it's a shit game. You have to edit all kinds of things just to get it to run on 7.

john bob my game runs now, and fixing it is not time consuming at all btw if you want to get the game running without crashes, here: Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 Find the line: bUseThreadedAI=0 change it to: bUseThreadedAI=1 Add another line after it and insert: iNumHWThreads=2 This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze. *If the game still crashes write this iNumHWThreads=1 Go to your fallout3 steam/nosteam directory Right click the Fallout3.exe file > Properties < Compatability then turn off Compatability Have fun! what might also help is to install an enb if your pc is powerful enough that made the game run smoother imo

I know that realistic ENBs are cool but seeing that fallout happens in a place that had a nuclear war, I believe it should have a more poluid and less colored environment,if that made any sense. for example: for a place that had a nuke explosion, in the realistic ENB the sky is too clean and blue.

Inferattus Because we're not idiots. Nukes have been dropped already in the world. Radiation emits from contaminated areas where nuclear reactors have broken down. None of this affects things by making some kind of ghostly green aura with fog everywhere. That's not how radiation works. It's not visible. It doesn't change the colors of the world. It doesn't CREATE pollution. 50 years and you couldn't tell a bomb dropped on Nagasaki or Hiroshima. 50 years and you won't know from looking at Chernobyl that it's irradiated. Are they still irradiated? Short answer is no, long answer is the whole world is in a roughly equivalent amount. Backround radiation is pretty consistent all over. Granted bombs didn't drop on those two Jap cities. They blew up in mid air and irradiated the whole world because of this. Anyways. Water in FO is silly because it's nasty and murky when life would become sterile and die off making it crystal clear... but this is 1950's "science!!!" not real world science. It's part of their art style. But realism ENB does in fact make the most sense. FO 1/2 didn't have this ghastly green and brown and messy polluted non sense, and three didn't need it, but that's their art style. To which that is subjective whether you like it or not. I prefer the realism ENB's look for it makes the game more attractive.

+axl rose Unpredictable. Impredictable isn't really a word. And the only fog/smog/effect the bombs would have on the world would simply be kicking up rediculous tons of material and shooting it out as fallout. It doesn't take hundreds of years for this to settle. So no it is predictable and there wouldn't be a nasty green aura at all.

Hey... wait a minute. Today isn't Friday and... hey, wait a minute. This isn't 2015. WTF is going on here? So I just dumped stupid Imaginator cuz it's an extreme hassle to make it run (ALWAYS shows it's installed and checked and auto load ordered, along with the bug fix, but it just DOES NOT WORK even though it used to work just fine. Even more hassle than rh iron sights which also used to just punch in and work great. And Paradox ignition works occasionally but other times not). I think the ultimate mod would be one that just FORCES every other mod to work together. I would pay actual money to get a mod like that!!
