That was one of the most painful first plays I have ever sat through. Every time there is something important being said or info to read you are too busy looking at chat and yacking. No wonder you are having such a hard time. 🤣🤣🤣

When you level up, and you go in the Perk menu to spend the point, you do not have to select the top row. If you for example have 4 points in Intelligence, you can select any perk in the four lines below intelligence in that column. So the more points you put in Intelligence, the more perks get unlocked in that column. You should think about selecting a perk like rifleman or gun slinger, which will boost the damage your guns do. Also, take a look at the Lone Wanderer perk. Later.

when you are Hacking Terminals.... if you drag across the symbols... and see a set light up, you can select that and it will remove false passwords, or sometimes it will reset your password attempts..

don't go quitting now. lots of people do. also, building is quite fun, however Mods are useful, but I see you are not on PC but on Console, so I have no idea what mods are available, some mods on PC will let you scrap those horrible dead Hedges in sanctuary (or any base) and shrubs and vines on houses. those drive me nuts..

There's a mod for PC which restores Sanctuary to pristine pre war condition and another which let's you restore it "believably" so it repairs the houses but not perfectly.
