Fallout 4 Immersive Overhaul | 250+ Mods | NAC X + ENB + ReShade [PC]

Currently using 300 mods myself and ever since using Buffout 4 (correctly) I was able to minimize crashes a lot. It still occurs from time to time, but way less often. Now I'm often able to play one hour - 1.5 hours+ without my game crapping itself. The funny thing is, in Skyrim I use 320+ mods as well and thanks to Loot I guess it never crashes, the same, unfortunately, doesn't work as good with Fallout 4 (using Loot to sort out the order). I can play for 4-5 hours without a single crash in Skyrim effortlessly. The opposite is true for Oblivion, it's a mess, has horrible optimization and it starts to get unstable after adding 30-40 mods even if you fix the memory/RAM limitation issue. Fixing it helped, but it still tends to crash after 30-something minutes or so. All to be said I'm playing on a 3090ti MSI suprim x custom overclocked and a 13600k, so performance wise there isn't really anything to complain about, crashes don't occur because of the VRAM or other performance related issues in my own case.

Yes bethesda games are known for their unstable bad optimized engines - so unfortunately theres not much the player is capable doing against it. I'm not experiencing as many crashes as you mentioned but I'm also not playing as long in one session uninterrupted as you - so keep quicksaving as often as you can ;) Since these games are quite old and technically refurbished, optimization for newer hardware is kinda bad, even when you're getting a great base performance. Maybe the longer you play the amount of "trash data" accumulates on your RAM and VRAM that suddenly cause crashes. @@thatMPSG Oh, sieh an, ein Deutscher bzw. Deutschsprachiger.^^ Ich lasse Dir mal n Abo da. Genau den Gedanken mit der "Trash Data" hatte ich so auch, da die Crashes bei mir halt vollkommen willkürlich auftreten und nie an einer Location hängen. Soll heißen, ich laufe mehrere Male durch die selbe Location, oft ist gar nichts und dann komplett random crasht es egal wo ich zu dem Zeitpunkt in Fallout 4 rum irre, immer wieder zufällig. Ich bin froh, wenn ich dazu komme eine Stunde am Stück Fallout 4 zu datteln. Das gelingt mir inzwischen sogar öfter, aber die Crashes kommen früher oder später trotzdem. Wie viele Stunden ich in meinem Leben schon mit Trial and Error Mod-Tests verbracht habe... Aber am Ende des Tages würde und werde ich niemals auf die Modvielfalt der Games verzichten wollen, weil sie das Spielerlebnis buchstäblich in neue Höhen tragen. Fallout New Vegas/Fallout 4 vanilla zu spielen kommt nicht mehr in Frage. :D

@@MichaeltheORIGINAL1 So sehe ich das auch. Vielleicht hast du auch durch das viele Modden (Installation/Deinstallation) angesammelte Restdaten in deinen Ordern, die zu Komplikationen führen könnten. Lässt sich schwer sagen. ich empfehle dir Buffout zu installieren und alle Mods die damit zusammenhängen. Das legt dir einen CrashReport an, wo du nachschauen kannst, woran es gelegen hat. @@thatMPSG Buffout läuft schon bei mir und seitdem läuft das Spiel auch besser. Eine Sache die ich jetzt ausprobiert habe war alle meine alten Saves bis auf die 10 aktuellsten zu löschen. Das waren irrsinnig viele und seitdem sind die Abstürze noch seltener geworden, nachdem ich all die veralteten Daten runtergeschmissen habe. Komisch ist bei mir, dass ich die Erfahrung gemacht habe, dass der High FPS Physics Fix bei mir immer zu Abstürzen führt, also ist der auch rausgeflogen. Naja, ist schon deutlich besser geworden. Ich bin jetzt halt echt ziemlich weit in meinem Playthrough drinnen (Level 100) und das jetzt zu verwerfen, um nochmal auf einem cleanen Savegame anzufangen, würde richtig wehtun. Scheint aber jetzt auch erstmal nicht notwendig zu sein. ;)

You don't have problems with the HUD CAPS mod? Every time I use it, the save system stops working. I can't find a patch to date.

Fortunately, I only got this bug once since using the mod for ~ a month now. In my case, I got rid of it just by restarting the game. So I'm making sure to save as often as possible, but nevertheless this is what I was always doing because when using so many mods crashes can occur every moment.

To be straight honest, that'll be difficult. Even my PC (highend but outdated GPU) is struggling sometimes. The best is to try out what works for you. Mostly visual mods will take up performance. I recommend you to watch my complete visual guide and after that the performance guide I made.

Is it your gameplay stable? I have like ~400 mods and always have the same problem. The game freeze while i'm playing several minutes or even in 1 minutes. I don't really know if there's an conflicting mods or is because my PC can't deal with every effects, debris, textures etc. I don't have any texture mods, only CRP. Edit: Usually crashes more when i'm in combat and not when i'm building something in settlement.

EDIT: I found deleting Enhanced Blood Textures and patches I get no crashes anymore. I'm still looking about conflicting mods. Cheers. EDIT 2: Do not install Very Zen Decals, it freezes the game.

Hey I'm not an expert myself. I only use whats working for me and looking around the net for fixes when problems and bugs appear suddenly. It always helps checking the bug reports tab on the nexus mod page. Glad you already found a solution for your problem! I found using shadow boost really helped

@@Purify94 No problem man! It's just a list of mods I have in my load order I added manually, so you have to choose the ones you like to install by yourself. But I already made a few videos about some of the weapons I use as well as a comprehensive visual overhaul guide, performance guide or must-have mods IMO. So you don't have to get everything in my list to get the same experience, you can just pick what you like!
