The only major difference (in Fallout 4 post-war logic) would be a sheriff's office would be covering multiple settlements and a police station would be a small one or two nearby settlements or just the one settlement.

Sheriff tends to be more rural. It is an elected position. They are required to maintain a jail, which houses people not yet convicted or serving sentences less than two years.

It takes a little more time but if you care about it being straight and snapping you can turn collision off move the roof up a bit snap the other roofs then move the house roof back down

I like the old weathered terminal on the clean desk, and then the clean terminal on the weathered desk in the main office. Really helps blend it together so that the prewar and post war objects don't clash too much.

there is one other mod that could be usefull. All of the buildings within settlements you'can't scrap are precombines. If somebody were to make mod that replaces precombnes with buildings you can scrap such as houses you can scrap in vanilla game, mods such as scrap everything would work without causing trouble but right now it breaks many precombines and causes graphical glitches, fixes no longer work and second unless you have beef computer you'll see fps drop.

Ethreon insists that his Vanilla Extensions mod will conflict and cause crashes with any mod that changes the vanilla wood category. USO does this, but I see you have both of the mods. I have always refrained from installing Vanilla Extensions since I have USO installed. You haven't had any issues?
