You should make a video on this glitch I found, not sure if it’s new! You basically pickpocket a fusion core out of an npc in power armor and quick save just as they are getting back in. If you load up that quick save the armor they are in will be duplicated along with another fusion core

I used to do this glitch when the game come out in 2015, i have duped everything. I tried today hours and hours on ps5 version for the mole rat disease cure and other items but i cant make it work 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's definitely harder than it was in the OG days. Beth back then "patched" it like 2-3 times, but all it ever did was made the timing more strict. I suspect that having the game in higher FPS might work against you too, but idk. Either way it's definitely harder than it was in the early days. Possible, but a bitch nonetheless. Conveyor dupe is the way to go, but obviously not an option without the contraptions workshop DLC.

It is very much random, i just tried it 5x on 2 diff weapons and only got it once on the second one when dogmeat ran lol... The glitche still does work though and i appreciate the vid as ive yet to see this glitch

If you take the stack from the hopper and drop it next to the one dogmeat dropped, then save, then quit, reload and itll duplicate

I wish it had been longer too, but I've also seen shows that because they get dragged out longer in even just a season, it ends up hurting them more. I think what we got was solid though and it surpassed my expectations for sure. Plus like you said, season 2 instantly confirmed haha. Who knows how long it will be until we get it of course, but it's great to know that's already locked down.

Nice will do that method with the contraption. Also on the off chance da you know about this glitch. Do you know how to fix the combat music glitch where it constantly plays even when out of combat? No matter what I’ve done I can’t get it to go away. I’m on ps5 with the next gen update

Enjoy the dupe! As for the combat music glitch. Haven't heard of it and thank god it hasn't happened to me haha. I imagine that would be quite annoying. Wish I had a fix for you, but yeah I have no idea. I assume fast travelling and or saving / quitting / reloading are thing you tried and don't work?

He's not supposed to add it to his inventory. That isn't how it works with dogmeat. He picks the item up and then drops it. I'm confused as to why you think he's supposed to be putting it into his inventory?

I have a problem but not exactly about the glitch and I have no idea what I can do if anything. Dogmeat never seems to behave for me like he does in all the videos I watch. He's always either walking off into the distance or running around. Whenever I command him to pick up the item (which I always make sure he's within short to medium range of) he doesn't even attempt to, and whenever he does sprints full force towards it knocking me out of the way and preventing me from timing the glitch properly, or he'll do some weird manoeuvres and hold his head in such a way that its hard to even notice or focus on the 'down motion' that I need to look out for. Has anyone had similar issues? I'm playing on PS4 if that helps🤟

Dogmeat occasionally does this kind of stuff to me and I assume everyone as it's sort of a meme how frustrating and annoying dogmeat can be at times. However if you genuinely mean that even close to most of the time when you command him to do things that he acts the way you described, yeah thankfully I haven't endured that haha. Could be a bug I suppose? I'd say it's some bad luck, but if it's truly consistent and a lot of the time than clearly something more is going on there.

Tried this with the alien ammo. During his pick up animation i spammed the button but nothing happened.

It's quite difficult so by no means guaranteed to work unfortunately. Conveyor belt dupe is miles easier and better, but you need the contraptions workshop DLC.

This video was recorded on a PS5 and while showing being on the latest update lol. So yes it does still work, but it is also harder versus the old days.

Yes. And for any stacks of items that he drops 1 for and puts the rest in his inventory, you leave the 1 on the ground, grab the stack from his inventory, drop on the ground with the single, save, quit, reload that save you just made, and now the single will be the stack size, so fully duped then.

As shown in the clips during the video, it definitely can work. Now that isn't to say it's easy, consistent, or ideal though haha. There is a reason I said at the start of the video for anyone with the contraptions workshop DLC to steer clear of this and go do the way better dupe involving the conveyor belt from that. I just know not everyone has or is going to get the DLC, but still wants to try and dupe some items. Outside of resources, caps, and the special book, this is the only way known about to dupe other items without DLC unfortunately. As for what you described about the game, yeah that's normal to have it seem like that. For whatever reason, sometimes it simply doesn't lock you out of grabbing the item while dogmeat does and in turn the dupe works in those cases. I wish I could find any bit of logic, consistency, patterns, guaranteed variables, etc to this, but nothing yet :/

I think someone else mentioned the same issue for that ammo in particular. Haven't messed with it myself so can't say whether it's actually just not possible for some reason or if it's an issue on the user end.

Like seen in the video, it works with something like Radaway for instance. I've also done it with Stimpaks. For any stack of something where dogmeat only drops one rather than the whole stack, you leave the one on the ground, take the stack from dogmeat's inventory, drop it on the ground along with the single, save, quit, load your save, and the single is now the stack along with your original stack. So double what you started with of course.

Not really. As explained in the video, the window of timing is very strict and random in most cases it seems. It's a generally difficult glitch to do successfully and or consistently. That's also why I recommend the conveyor belt dupe to anyone with the contraptions workshop DLC first and foremost. As for anyone that doesn't, you're stuck with this unfortunately or for certain items anyway.

I did it with radaway, but can't speak for radstag meat. It should work for whatever items though. Granted, as I mentioned, it's a pain in the ass to successfully do with anything. If you don't have any luck with it early on than I'd just walk away from it. Conveyor belt dupe is incredibly better in every way, but it requires the contraptions workshop DLC unfortunately.

As you can see in the video and is explained in the video, he tilts his head down to grab the item, yes. As soon as you see that starting to happen, maybe even as close to before it happens as possible, try to pick it up yourself to by spamming the button / key to pick the item up.

It still works, but just like at the time of my making the video, it’s quite difficult / inconsistent. Not something id consider worth messing with much. If you get lucky with it however much early on then great. If it’s just a bunch of fails though then best to just say screw it. If you have the contraptions workshop DLC, do the conveyor dupe with that instead. It’s MUCH easier, faster, more efficient, and generally just all around better.

So you'd do exactly what I show/explain, but if done correctly, dogmeat will only drop 1 of the ammo. The rest will be in his inventory. Leave the 1 on the ground that he dropped, get the rest from his inventory, drop that onto the ground with the single he dropped, quit the game (which should make an exit save), choose to continue from the main menu (which will load the exit save), and then both the single and the stack will be the full amount you started with, thus duping the starting amount.

​@@DemonAsylumI actually think they've patched it. At the moment that Dogmeat starts to bend and the object is still on the ground, you cannot pick it up anymore. It also returns that specific sound for impossible actions. I have successfully used the weapon mod glitch for this magazine, but I would've used yours for cores and ammo, because I have played the PS4 version already so I just wanted to speed up things a little . Thank you anyway

@@CatalinIliescu Nah it isn’t patched. No new to updates have come out and probably won’t. I assume if they wanted to patch any of these old glitches then they would have done so with the initial next gen update. As for what you explained when attempting the glitch, yeah that is how it goes many times. As I tried to make clear as best I could, while it technically still works, it is quite random and a pain in the ass. 10 attempts could result in what you explained and then the 11th while seemingly being no different, can have it work. Guess that’s a glitch for you sometimes though lol.
