A slightly better and easier way.. Build a wall Use the 'Lettering' signs. There is a few that give you 7 or 8 xp per sign. If you place them on the wall you built then once you need to delete, just delete the wall and the sings will auto save too! Dont forget to sleep for 10% exp bonus first!

Don't the letters require DLC though? I'm pretty sure they have one of the symbols on them indicating they do. I also don't know if any of what you mentioned requires more than just 1 resource, but if so than I was purposely trying to keep it to 1 resource required is all. Granted, for double the amount of XP, duping and using 2 kinds may be worth it to some.

@@BruvaBob Yeah I looked it up to confirm and the symbols I mentioned on whatever objects to refer to them being from X DLC. The lettering in particular comes from the Wasteland Workshop DLC. That doesn't change what you mentioned being better of course, but it only applies for those with the DLC. To be fair I'm sure most have it too, but I just wanted to first accommodate those that don't. I sort of expected helpful comments like yours would come in anyway and offer better options for those with DLC and prior to my posting even better methods than that for those with DLC or even just willing to put in a little more effort. Anyway, thank you :)

I've not played FO4 since its release date. I think it's time to give it a return. For a time frame, you could stack ammo in diamond city and have infinite money. If that tells you how long ago it's been, haha.With a recent shock around Bethesda updating it, i see everyone is returning again. Especially since the fallout tv series. Great video. Will there be a video that shows which materials stack for easy duplication? I was trying this with adhesive but they kept getting dropped individually.

I've duped many different types of resources with this including adhesive and in my video specifically covering the dupe. No issues whatsoever. When you dupe a stack of 10 adhesive for instance and then drop it all on the ground, it will be 2 stacks of 10 now. However, just pick them back up and drop it all again. It's then 1 stack. If you meant something else though than feel free to explain of course.

That was it, I started off with 7 adhesive. Good to know that they don't start stacking when you drop them until after 10 increments.

Glad I could help! Also, stacks actually begin at 6 of the item. So if you pull out 5 of a resource from the workshop to your inventory followed by dropping them, it will go 1 by 1. However, if you pull out 6+ from the workshop and drop them, it will go in 1 stack.

You can just build a wall and keep craft on it. Once the space is full scrap the wall and bam the space will be back.

@@Pr.faisal Yeah, but even with the method I showed that happens since when scrapping them, many are connected and so it force stores the rest. Thats why I then explained to switch to a different sign. There are like 10 that all cost the same 4 steel per and give the same XP. So it works out :D

Those were fixed back in the day and even after doing a ton more testing since this update dropped, I haven't been able to work anything new out.

a faster way is to build a metal prefab for 30xp, then fill the settlement size with signs or flags then spam build and scrap on the metal prefab You'll get to lvl 80 in a hour and a half

Make a wall of your own and make the signs on that. Then when you’re capped at settlement size, scrap the wall and it will store the signs. Then if you want to do it more, just use a new sign.

we the dupe glitch, it is a lot faster to have a completely empty workbench so you can take all instead of looking for steel, it also makes doing more than one type of material way faster

Copper statues are 100% better, but do require going to get the mag for them and at a low level, even on easiest difficulty, the guys there fuck you up haha. So this is technically quicker to start with. Caltrops? Yes, but this method requires no DLC. I know it's possible many or even most may have them, but I know as well as from comments that not everyone does and so I wanted to accommodate that first and foremost. If you have the Far Harbor DLC though than making caltrops with steel is the same thing and a better way to do it. Correct.

If you're always getting just the store menu than you're pressing / holding store too quick after pressing scrap so slow down. If you're always getting the scrap menu only than you're not pressing / holding store quick enough so speed up.

Best way to go about it is make a wall of your own, put the signs on that, and the scrap the wall when you're maxed out at settlement size. This will store all of your signs though so when you do it again after, you'll have to use one of the other signs. No big deal of course as they're the same XP gain and there are a handful of options.

It works on all platforms. When you were attempting to dupe resources, let me guess, you kept having just the store menu pop up? If so, you were going to fast pressing/holding it. Wait just a smidge more time after pressing scrap before you then press/hold store. If you keep just getting the store menu than you're going to quick.

Apologies for not realizing this prior and making it a part of the video, but create your own wall and do the signs on that. Then you can just delete the wall when you get to max settlement size, all of the signs will be stored, and if you want to do the method more, just use a different sign on a new wall you create.

Both are a decent amount better than this and 1 of them that's the best in the game, is MUCH better. They have a little bit more in the way of requirements and the latter does require the Automatron DLC as well, but yeah they're worth checking out imo versus trying to do this one to TOO high of a level.

@@BeardyPr1ck Fair enough haha and ahh yeah survival is definitely rough. As for platforms that can't get mods, all of them can. I didn't mean not everyone can use them in the sense of the platform, but rather more so their internet situation. Id say for the larger group of people opting out of using mods versus something like this though, it's probably just personal preference for whatever reason.

Those are ok, but definitely not better and for either thing you mentioned. 1 molotov with 10 INT and no XP buffs is 13 XP. 1 copper statue in the same scenario is 29 XP. Molotovs require 4 different types of resources you'll have to dupe a lot of. Copper statues require 1. As for if you want to sell a lot of something to wipe out vendors, duping/selling nuclear material, gold, or adhesive (top 3 best choices and in that order) are the way to go. A molotov weighs 0.5 and has a value of 20 caps. The 3 resources I just listed all have a weight of 0.1 each and have a value of 10, 9, and 8 caps. So even 5 adhesive will weigh the same as 1 molotov, but have a value of 40 caps versus the molotov's 20.

Doesnt work. When i push scrap the store screen pops up and the scrap screen never pops up

It works just fine. The issue is your timing. If you always have the store menu popping up than you're pressing/holding store to quickly after pressing scrap. Back off the speed at which you press/hold store just a smidge so that it gives scrap more time to register when you press it first.

You can mass select them, but I didn't have an option to scrap them while holding them if that makes sense. Only once I replace them can I start scrapping again and it does them one by one for a bit until it inevitably seems to send the rest of the bulk to the workshop. Regardless, the better way to do this is make a wall yourself, put the signs on there, and then scrap the wall when you're maxed out in your settlement. The signs will still be stored instead of scrapped so you'll have to use a different sign next go around, but it still saves times.

@@theendgame0967 Sounds like you're not following the video correctly. You say you're simply pressing store after scrap, but yet I explain you need to press as well as hold store down after pressing scrap. Both menus will then be locked in place until you take further action.

My Intelligence SPECIAL stat is at 10 which effects XP so that is likely why. Not sure what you mean by that. If you mean the resource duping than it will of course keep working the same however much you want. If you mean the signs, once you force store all of the first sign you crafted for XP, you need to swap to a different sign in that category as the one you were doing, you now have a bunch stored that wouldn't be crafted, but rather just replaced. So no XP from that. I showed and explained it all in the video.

You mean console commands? PC only, they disable achievements, can cause issues with your game, and some people find them a little TOO cheaty versus doing something that's at least a part of the game rather than using something external. Fair reasons for both depending on your preferences and situation, but ultimately it's a single player game and so how people play has no effect on anyone else. To each their own.
