But like all brotherhood, he views that the mistakes caused by technology need to be stopped at any cost. Scienfitic endeavors lead to the FEV, The Super Mutants, and even to The Great War to some degree, among other things. He probably still holds somewhat to the Lyons doctrine, but he had to take a step back if he wanted to get more troops from the Outcasts, which he successfully did. I can only hope they expand on Maxson with a DLC. The Prydwen going after a "Holy Grail" of technology hehe.

Yeah, their philosophies are going to clash eventually, but both of them share the goal of stopping the Institute. The BoS has the tech and manpower and the Railroad has the intel and expertise. They'd make a fantastic team with an uneasy alliance. Instead, the BoS decides to be an ass and attack the Railroad for literally no reason. Seriously, the Railroad had done nothing to the BoS and was completely ignoring them. It's not even a sound tactical decision - they commit men to attacking an entrenched position when they could've just given the Institute the location of the Railroad's HQ.

IDK why the brotherhood of steel built a hydrogen airship it's to exposed and it over heats to much , it would of been more effective to make a aircraft carrier naval ship there was plenty of metal of the broken half of rivet city to craft a simple one and take the jet planes off of rivet city and to be fixed up to use on their aircraft carrier and vertibirds too but reinforce vertibirds with more armor plates etc And take the artillery pieces at Adams airforce to make heavy gunboats by putting a artillery piece on each one with a minigun turret on each side etc to be the carriers support ships , and go to the point lookout to build a settlement to grow lots of punga fruit to have food and moonshine for fuel and used for medical uses and hunt mirelurks for meat etc to be able to support their operations and take the Chinese spy submarine to be fixed up and upgraded with basic missle systems to launch missiles on targets inland etc and if they have enough armor gunboats they can have 2 small fleets split it up and the aircraft carrier commands one and the submarine commands other and they can have more power projection on the east coast , hell when they come to the commonwealth they could make 3 fleets there's the Yangtze submarine they can take over and fix it up and make missiles for it with mini nuke warheads from fort strong and take the castle to be a naval base and use artillery schematics to make destroyers out of the tugboats around Boston waters and fix them up and put a artillery piece on the front of each one with some side turrets and use Yangtze submarine as command ship and they'll have 3 naval fleets to project their power more on the east coast lol 😎

One of FO4's most memorable moments for me. I had been treating The Search for a Kellogg like an old Noire up until this point. Kept Nick with me the whole way, even put on a suit. As I slowly tracked the Prydwen make its way over to the Airport, the bgm peaking, the low ping of the Quest appearing, and Nick quoting The Raven, *_it was all perfect._* I do not have a lot of things I can say positive about FO4. But the atmosphere and Boston, are definitely two of them.

(And the labeled 'outcasts' of Fallout 3 were really following the ORIGINAL GOAL of the Brotherhood of Steel). New Vegas must've been a shock to new players of the fallout franchise, and this must've been even bigger. After Elder Lyons died of old age, and Sentinel Lyons died in combat, Maxson promised to bring glory and power back to the Brotherhood of Steel claiming that the Lyons dynasty was weak-minded. In fact, you can hear Brotherhood members comment and spit on the Lyons's name inside the Prydwen. The Brotherhood of Steel were always selfish, but their goal is noble. They've always been condescending towards non-brothers, (with the exception of the Lyons' and their followers), and have always hoarded military technology because they believed that they were humanity's only competent caretakers. One can only imagine what has happened in the Capital Wasteland since the Brotherhood returned to its traditionalist ways. Is project purity still running with the altruistic goals of canon, or has it been hoarded by the Brotherhood that controls it? One can only pray that the Lone Wanderer will be mentioned or appear in DLC in order to restore the Brotherhood. Especially since he had such a HUGE INFLUENCE on Maxson when he was a kid in Fallout 3!

Actually, the chapter in the Capital was technically a traitor to how the BoS acted. But this chapter is also different, being more agressive than ever. The West Coast Chapters were all the same ( Includes the Mojave chapter), isolationalists who only interacted with civilians to get technology.

My honest opinion on the Brotherhood. I think that their ideology is a very good one, and that they could do a lot of good for the Commonwealth. I agree with them that tech should be used responsibly, that not all people should have access to it, and that synths and super mutants are science gone too far. However, I greatly disagree with their policy that mutants and synths should be killed simply for what they are, because many are just people just trying to get by. I believe that if they wish for their ideal world where technology isn't abused to be seen, they need to focus their attention on educating people rather than being isolated and stealing from them. They should also assist people so that they can gain their trust, more easily educate them on proper usage of technology, make them willing to help them, and, probably most importantly, make civilians not want to rise up against them. I could understand their singular devotion to hoarding tech when they were a much smaller group, but now they are the most powerful military force on the east coast, and absolutely need to focus on a bigger picture. If it weren't for the Minutemen, I would have sided with the Brotherhood. I got to the Tactical Thinking quest, stopped, did the Battle of Bunker Hill, quit the institute, and had the Minutemen make it a crater. I hope the Brotherhood will reform for the best.
