I hate this whole "mods will fix it!" Attitude... Modders shouldn't have to fix games, they should be expanding and changing it, just like every bethesda open world game, it is good enough and will only get better in time, mostly due to mod community but still better and I can not wait to pick it up! I love these games, Mad Max was great, but this is the real deal, I will get immersed in the side content and I will get my moneys worth. But shame on you bethesda, you've done exactly what I thought you would...
@TheShinyHaxorus3D9 жыл бұрын
Well, modders kept fallout 3 and new Vegas relevant up until this year so.... It's not such a bad argument. But Bethesda should have launched a more polished game.
@BossGalka9 жыл бұрын
+Paddzr He didn't say that though. He said that Bethesda can fix it and they should. It doesn't mean they will, they probably won't, and it probably will fall onto the modders like it always has for every bethesda game. It doesn't make it okay, that is just how it is. I personally will wait until it becomes $20 in two years with all the dlc too. I am still salty that Bethesda made me REBUY the entire fucking skyrim game so I could get all my missing dlc. It was cheaper to rebuy the entire game, packaged with the dlc, than the dlc itself. So this time around, I won't be giving them much money, I'll be patient and wait for a sale.

the only reason I hope that modders will fix a game like this is because the developers have already released it to their standards and it's shit. modders are pc gamers so they know what pc gamers want. I wish I could say the same about Bethesda :(

The Elder Scrolls online not so much it was fun for a bit but got very repetitive around lvl 40 and I quit but Skyrim and Fallout 3 are the only RPGs that even after not playing for a few years I start playing from scratch again. Those and the first Knights of the Old Republic.

+Worth A Buy I have 30+ houers played on Fallout 4 and i may have been lucky with bugs because i havent got them yet, atleast not what i have noticed, the AI have not been like in this video. For me its been the opposite. They are really smart and brutal. They use their cover system very well, they flank me and so on. I guess ive been lucky. I DO agree with the Companions tho, they are useless! (But you have the option to NOT have any companion). The only bug i have had so far happened yesterday about 25 houers in. I was in a conversation and the voice sound dissapeard. Restarted the game and it was back. So as i have been saying, i may have been lucky or some of you just got unlucky with the AI and bugs its not happening for everyone. I dont say its okey because it should NEVER happen but im 100% fullfilled with this game, i like the voiced acting, i think they have been doing one hell of a job with it. I never felt "Fuck thats not what i ment to say" or anything like that.. But you guys cant complaine about that now in the "Worth a buy" compartment because you have known that since E3 so... I AM a Fallout fan like alot of us are in here but if i wasent happy about something in the game i would have said so. There are stuff in the game i dont like but its not a game changer. Why are people ignoring the flaws? Put bluntly because we're a society of stupid consumers that question nothing. We get what were given and we put up with it. And the games developers know this. It's not about the art of producing great game play! It's about slap something together in a defined period of time to get them ready for milking. I saw so many pre release videos talking shit about "take my money now" that they might as well of just donned a gimp mask. In my mind it's not a terrible game. It's just more of the same, which for next gen gaming missed the mark for me...

Damn looking back at this and having played Fallout 4 multiple times... I always get thrown off by the Minutemen and the fact they throw leadership right into your hands without even knowing you. This should've been a late game thing, the Minutemen could've been a faction exclusive to the Commonwealth that did fine in keeping the peace. When the player comes along they could've been experiencing a crisis of some kind and the player obtains the chance to step up and be a leader after a certain amount of hours/quests. With this they make the settlement system optional if you decide to step into the shoes of the leader. If not you carry on as you are, leaving Sanctuary as your own little place in the post apocalypse. The initial settlement system could've just been an interior/exterior decorator/builder system. The point being, I never wanted to be in charge of anything starting the game without even getting a proper feeling for the Commonwealth and where my character's place is in the game. Oh well...

Tbh i wasn't impressed with this game at first, but after a few hours i got used to the controls. It suddenly dawned on me that this game is exactly like Fallout 3 and New vegas ! The HUD /Interface and menu has not changed at all ( and that´s okay with me ). I get that some people don´t like "whole story aspect " Fallout. But where i have to disagree with Mack is the graphics ! I think it´s a beautiful game and i got insanely immersed after 30 minutes ( probably more than i ever were in FO3 and NV ). Lets not forget that this game WILL change immensely the next few weeks due to mods - Gameplay mods - Graphic mods - The possibility to turn of the character voice ( thats already been done ) - FOV slider ( also been done ) and so on and so on ! =) Just head over over to "Nexus Mods" and you can more or less make the game EXACTLY what you want it to be. Just like FO3 /NV and Skyrim. So far i have spend 27 hours in FO4 and this game is pure gold ( despite its flaws )
@asdfgoogle9 жыл бұрын
+TheDawg475 The interface was one of the most annoying things in FO3 and FONV. I don't particularly remember what exactly it was about the interface that pissed me off, but I think it had to do with organizing items or searching for items or what have you.

So MGS5 got a thumb down because of it feeling empty and lifeless despite you enjoying the gameplay. Fallout four gets a thumb up because you enjoy it despite it being mechanically broken to a point where you think Bethesda owes all PC gaming fans an apology. Makes sense...
@EazyDuz189 жыл бұрын
+Christian Friis Sørensen He didnt particularly enjoy the gameplay of MGS5
@CordovanSplotchVT9 жыл бұрын
***** Dude... more repetitive than Fallout 4? All you do in Fallout 4 is go to some place, kill enemies and sometimes retrieve an item... oh and sometimes you build a settlement... an FOB/Motherbase if you will. Fallout 4 has one map which is smaller than MGS5's two maps put together. Fallout 4's AI is if anything more retarded than that of MGS5, in Fallout 4 they can just see farther. I'll grant you that Fallout 4 has more variety in things like buildings and enemy types and at least has non-scripted non-enemy npcs but that's kind of a given for an RPG. Fallout 4's faults on PC however are much more egregious, especially considering Bethesda has a lot more experience with the PC platform than Konami does. Bethesda should be more than capable of making a working PC port of a game in an engine they've been using for almost 2 decades.
@CordovanSplotchVT9 жыл бұрын
***** If I remember correctly he also enjoyed playing MGS5, and if his descriptions were as accurate then as they are now then he was less annoyed with MGS5. He definitely didn't "lie down and have a cry" over MGS5. Yes he complained about the map he played for a bit but the vast majority of his complaints in that review was about other reviews of it, and not the game itself.
@RedRifle0079 жыл бұрын
+Christian Friis Sørensen I don't have fallout 4 yet but playing mgs5 I can definitely agree that it is more repetitive, I've lost count of how many times I've had to extract prisoners and I'm just at mission 15
@CordovanSplotchVT9 жыл бұрын
RedRifle007 well here's what you can expect from the Fallout 4 missions. "Go to this location and kill a bunch of ghouls." "Go to that location and kill a bunch of raiders." "Go over there and kill some super mutants." "Go fetch that item somewhere around that location. Oh... And kill the molerats too." "There's some gang members in that subway over there, go kill them." "Radscorpions killed my brahmin, go over there and kill the Radscorpions." "Fix my leaky pipes plz... Oh no! Crab people! Kill the crab people!" "Synths drank my chocolate milk... Kill All the synths! And grab the antenna one of them is carrying. We need it... For reasons." Any game is repetitive if you reduce them to nothing but their mechanics. At least MGS5 let's you be a lot more creative in how you complete missions than Fallout 4. Wanna distract the enemy with half naked ladies on cardboard boxes and use the opening? You can. Wanna plant explosives on an enemy soldier and remote detonate when they're near your target? You can. Wanna go in guns blazing from your helicopter minigun blasting Jerry Lee Lewis? You can. Wanna destroy columns of enemy armour from horseback? Go right the fuck ahead. Wanna clear out a minefield by ordering in an artillery strike? Why the hell not? Have fun! The only damn reason people find MGS5 repetitive is lack of imagination.
@CALLthaDoctah9 жыл бұрын
Well, in defense of the whole minutemen thing: There were only five of them in the whole "faction" at the time that you stumble on them, and it was you who singlehandedly wiped out the dozens of raiders who were laying siege to them (with a deathclaw on top of it). Preston even muses how strange it is for an army to consist of a general and a single active soldier. From there you build up the army over the course of the game as a grassroots operation.

Or at least for guns that is...
@PriVateJoe79 жыл бұрын
Honestly, i kinda want fallout to stop having a "main quest" per say. Instead of putting focus into a main story make a grand story that factions, side quests and events all play into. like ditch the whole find your son thing, instead watch as the world is ravagede by the institute, how factions are born and killed of by your actions, how the confilt attracts outside attention (like the brotherhood flying the commonwealth to start war). you would just come out of the vault whit nothing to do, start wandering and let the world engulf you naturally. The world would become more and more wild, savage and warring (faction patrolls duking it out, increased predator presences attracted by the commotion etc.) until the grand finale stand off that decides all aspects of the future of the gameworld.

Thanks for highlighting the story issues. I made a female character, and the whole house wife running around in power armour ten minutes after the most traumatic event of her life just ruined the role-playing for me. I had to restart as a bloke because he at least had some military training to help me role-play through that bullshit. I'm having to imagine extra conversations to explain the reasoning behind Garvey handing over generalship of the Minutemen to some Tom/Dick/Harry the moment one comes along. This is probably why I've been avoiding playing it in favour of The Stick of Truth, which at least has a coherent story (kind of).
@Ghoffman919 жыл бұрын
The only thing I truly despise in Bethesda's Fallout games is that they insist on giving your character a large background, which just makes it harder if not impossible to see the character as you in virtual form. Its hard to see things that way when your character has a background that is nothing like yours. I mean like come on the character essentially is suppose to be *you*, from the way your character looks, to his stats, what he says, what he does is all determined by you so why can't we determine what their background is gonna be? The less background you give our character the better, Obsidian did it best with Fallout New Vegas. All you know about your character there is that he/she has been hired as a Courier to deliver a chip to New Vegas but you get jumped by Benny and shot in the head, and thats it. Thats all you know about your character and everything else about them from that point is determined by you. You basically know jack shit about your character prior to this and *thats the point*. What I always suggested is give the player the option among several different backgrounds to choose from for them and then let them live through the background story they chosen as the tutorial. At least with that the character will have a background but one that is determined by the player themselves.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas were buggy as hell, but enjoyable nonetheless. I miss the freedom and replayability of New Vegas but Fallout 4 for me has been a more polished and enjoyable experience when it comes to the map and exploration. The cutting down of the RPG elements pisses me off but they do seem to be trying to add value in other areas so it's give and take I suppose.

It seems like you only gave it a thumb up because of the buyer's remorse. Even if the game has potential, it'll have to be finished by the modders. Bethesda has only done half the game here, so you shouldn't pay more than half the price even when it gets finished.

I gotta say i have noticed very minimal bugs, despite all the people bitching about it. Nearly any of them are fixed by loading a save or alt f4. That being said, the pathfinding abilities of NPCs is an issue. My companions CONSTANTLY get in the line of fire and I shoot them or they just cant make it down a hallway. These are however very minor. The AI combat is quite good, despite some minor pathfinding issues enemies pretty much adapt to your style, you sit back and snipe, they rush in and flank you. You rush in they all move back. The story is absolutely immersive. The main story is a bit meh what ive seen so far but nearly every side quest i run in to has been killer, thought out, and well voiced. It amazes me how you can be running to some area for a quest, run in to some event and a 2 or 3 hour questline opens up. It really gives good meaning to your actions in the game, rather than your typical RPG fetch 10 of these or kill 10 of these quests. The keyboard controls took a while to get used to, and should really be open to rebind, but who gives an f. I have seen much worse controls and UI's in other games. The graphics are not shit, they look quite nice. It aint the latest and greatest, but it looks pretty. I do really hope the devs make some patches for the framerate drops tho, i know those were always early issues soon after release of previous fallout games.

the shitty thing is that new vegas had that larger focus on survival in the hardcore mode but for what ever reason bethesda did not include it. it makes sense to have survival light aspects in normal mode then further ramp the need for survival in the hardest mode because then you can have the new people being introduced comfortably in normal and have hardcore for those who want lots of depth.

I agree with the key binding. I use my mouse arrow key for movement and the other functions work around them keys so they are all close at a fingers reach. But when I go to build something, I have to re-assign them back to the OLD DOS key layout from the 1990's, WASD keys or I can not move. As for the other stuff I do not know, I had no problems, I played it like I did FO3 and NV. I chose what I want to do when I want, if I want, and how I want. For example I didn't want to be bothered with Preston, So I looted the museum, took the power armor, and never went back to talk to him. Basically I abandon him and his ungrateful misfits.. I could care less about settlers and their needs. Latter when I was ready, I joined the BOS, blew up the institute, and moved on in my life to other things in the Commonwealth. So for me it has worked out great.
@FunkyBaconArts9 жыл бұрын
The double function controls can be really frustrating at times, especially reload and loot being the same button. but sometimes they also work really well when you don't have to move your hand all over the keyboard for the different functions. Can't say I had that much problem with the AI tho, my companions had no problem killing or hitting people, but I gave them guns with good accuracy and hip-fire so maybe that is why? My real issue was how often they moved in front of me during combat and ended up soaking up my bullets.

It pisses me off, he play on easy almoust every game and sometimes he act just like you did "look, i'm the best, i've finished the first halo 4 level without diying". Seriously, he even tried to play rts games one handed clicking with the mouse all the time, he only decided to use both hands and put SOME effort learning the basic hotkeys after he was getting his ass kicked on every skirmish even on easy. The weird thing is that when he see me play on hard or even insane (it's tipical of a good rts game to have an insane or super hard difficulty mode) and he see how i beat the AI he loves to watch it, but he doesn't try to emulate it later. And if he act like this with games you can imagine how hard it is to make him study. Sorry about the ranting, It's so frustratig.
@VanillaSnake218 жыл бұрын
+ArminMeiwes23 let him play how he wants, so he wants to be a casual gamer, he doesn't want to treat a game like you do, as in something to study or figure out, it's just a game that's meant to be beaten and is meant to be fun. Easy difficulties are very fun sometimes, maybe you should try emulating him instead instead of wanting to treat his games like real life.

Mack, you mentioned the power cores for the armor. What you didn't mention is that they get drained pretty quickly, and none of the previous Fallouts used this stupid fuel system for the power armor. I believe the only reason that the fusion cores were added was to make it so the player reserves their power armor for big fights in order to make things more "cinematic" or something.

I watched IGN review this and it seemed like the game was flawless. I personally am enjoying it so if I thumbed it down then played it for like 50+ hours people would call me a hypocrite which would be deserved. So I had to just say it as I saw it, good game badly ported with some dodgy Ai, crappy story but some excellent gaming features and atmosphere.

+Worth A Buy I disagree. There is no way that I'm going to reward a company for releasing a game in such a sorry state. I don't care how good the gameplay is, if its got performance issues, if its really buggy and important keys you can't rebind I ain't going to get it. There is a standard level that games must meet stability and control wise, If they can't they don't get passed the sniff test then no deal. I don't care if modders will fix, Bethesda has to fix it. So refreshing to see an honest review. I basically feel the same was as Worth A Buy does. I own the PC version and I also notice the gaping problems with Fallout 4 (also I was a mega fan of Skyrim, Oblivion and Fallout 3) and I'm NOT happy as a consumer spending 60USD on this thing when it feels more like a solid 40USD game. At the same time I also find myself playing it a lot this past week since release and GENERALLY really enjoying the game. But just because I'd give it a thumbs up doesn't mean I let some of these huge problems (see Mack's review) get a pass. Great review Worth A Buy. It's why I trust in your channel over 95 percent of these "game review" channels.

I know this is an old video and so this comment is kind of WAY out of date But I feel like supporting games like this is a serious hurt to gaming overall especially triple A titles. It's just encouraging trends like it, where ya sure everyone gets all sorts of upset at Bethesda, or Dice for battlefront, or Bungie for Destiny and how much of a let down these games are compared to the hype they get. We get upset over missing features or whatever, but in the end people will still as you said "salvage what fun you can" from it and in the end it's supporting the trend. Future games are going to trend this way even harder, even more corners cut, and it's mostly clear to PC user because we can have so much control over our games that when features like rebind, FOV change aren't there it's pretty obvious. Bethesda is just shift from their older PC fans to the much easier to milk herd of console gaming where the vast majority of people will buy games without much thought. More willing to drop 60 bucks on a game and then get upset at people pointing out flaws. It just really sucks seeing this trend, gaming use to be sold like a fine art. What could we improve, make more fun, push to be even better? Now it's pretty much just indie titles that sell based on innovation, or story telling. Nintendo gives me a glimmer of hope with the switch. Focusing on trying to sell good games rather then shiny hyped ones with cutting edge graphics to draw you in. Games like the witcher 3 and breath of the wild felt far better valued at 60 bucks then this one was, like the creators actually put care into their craft instead of trying to crank out dollars. Anyways sorry for the soapbox rant 2 years later thank you for the review and hope everyone just has fun doing what we do as gamers GL:HF

Mack, exactly how I felt in the beginning, I was really angry and felt they had f*cked it up. Slept over night and forced myself to play it. And now I do like it even with all that is wrong with it. I took off the floating markers and changed FOV from console command and I changed the HUD color and disabled crosshairs. And I play in Survival- difficulty, but I have to say, it's still a bit too easy, too many stimpaks around and you are right about the food, there should be hunger/ thirst and a need to sleep too.

Great video as usual. Though I honestly thought this game was absolute trash. I was admittedly not the worlds biggest fan of Fallout 3 but I did think it was still a good game once you accepted it more as a Fallout inspired Elder Scrolls mod as opposed to an actual Fallout game. I wanted to believe this game would be better by actually looking at New Vegas (A vastly superior game to Fallout 3, IMO.) and expanding on its template. Instead they took Fallout 3 and just stripped it to be even more bones. It's not even an RPG anymore. It's now just a Far Cry 3 esque sandbox shooter with a perk tree that for some reason has Mass Effect's dialogue system bolted on. I didn't even have that much fun exploring the world which was the best part of Fallout 3. I just felt so bored and slogged out that I could barely bring myself to finish this game. Glad you enjoyed it at least.

@HowDoUPlayGames9 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I found the best feature to be the base building, which is the least Fallout-like feature in the entire game. But even that has huge issues. I play on console, and when you're trying to build an entire building, once you've put a roof on, you now have to walk outside just to switch items. Because any time you hit A (X on PS4) to confirm a choice, you grab the wall/floor/ceiling you were looking at and begin to move it instead. Any time you hit B (O on PS4) to go back to the main menu of choices, you are instead asked if you want to send the item you were looking at to your storage. Also, I hate having to find the one person you're looking for, activate them, then go all the way back to the item you want them to tend to, and activate that. I loved building up my own little town, but the controls are far from intuitive. Also, the dog is fucking annoying. Half the time it gets in your way, so you can't search that toolkit underneath him, or he's dying and using more stimpaks than you are. That is exaggerated, and maybe if you invest in the perk where he holds people while you shoot them, he's better. But until then, he's more of a hindrance than a help. I agree with you on the controls too. The button that's been used for waiting since the days of Morrowind has now been replaced by the toggle for 3rd/1st person. To be honest I'm glad they got rid of waiting because it was a cheap way to quickly heal between fights in a dungeon/mission/whatever, but if I accidentally toggle 3rd person one more time, or hold B too long and activate my flashlight instead of my Pipboy, I'm going to keep playing, but angrily. Overall, game's still pretty fun though. I'd give it -1 for controls, -1 for lack of intuitive base building, and -1 for a severely lacking perk selection. 7/10, still good, still Fallout (mostly).

Out of curiosity. Did you play the Vanilla version of Fallout 3 Mack? I personally think it's a pretty bare bones experience compared to the modded game. I plan on playing the vanilla version of FO4 to death, then coming back to it when a decent few mods and all the DLC is out. Given the massive modding community for Fallout, II think Bethesda should have included a user friendly mod and npc character creator - for new missions etc. As good as FO4 is, it's still just FO3 with nobs on really. Which is no bad thing. But if they basically do the same with Fallout 5, I think people will kick off big style.

well to bathesda's credit, games like black ops 3 and battlefront had tons of bugs at launch, but they had beta and could find the bugs before launch, you cant have a beta for a fallout game, and there is no way they could have personally tested every possible configeration of PC hardware and software to find the bugs, they can only release it and fix them as they are reported. its only been a short time since launch, so just wait a bit and they should fix any well known issues.(however no FOV slider is still bullshit)

I agree about the whole key binding thing. When did games stop being ported from PC to Consoles and became the other way around? It's like developers suddenly remembered that those systems still existed as a gaming option in the last month of development. Keybinds are not the only issue. Playing on PS4, I haven't had as many problems with AI. Enemies were actually competent as they took proper cover, tossed grenades strategically, and approached with an intent to do harm. There were a few hickups with path finding but not as much that would cause me distress. What I saw in this video with the pc version was depressing. Apart from that, good atmosphere, nice immersion, good game (except maybe the structure mode seemed a bit rushed). I feel positive because I don't care that much about graphics, knowing full well Bethesda follows from a couple of years behind. However, the feel this game gave me was more Fallout than Fallout 3. I can't really put my finger on it, perhaps the art and environment design was significantly better here. A lot of fun little things (perhaps even hidden to the early observer) were added here and it seemed like the things that were used in Fallout 3 that were a pile of crap and had no significance were scrapped. It is a much cleaner, meaningful game than Bethesda's first attempt at reviving a classic. The only big issue players can have is the lack of choice and RP elements. Yet, this game is just at least as much RP and filled with choice as any other average RP game of this era. It may seem like Black Isle era Fallout was much better in this department, but when I try to remember it I only remembered a handful of occasions were this illusion was properly created. In Fallout 4, it maybe not be as detailed, but it is not as dumbed down and emptied as people believe. There still are just enough choices and illusion of freedom to keep the player invested. Of course, the state of RP in this era of gaming is always open to debate. Having a voice is a very gray area because some like it, some don't. It's not really a debate anyone can get ahead in. So I won't focus on that. I'll leave it at it being a desing choice for now. Karma, however, was a good idea that didn't feel very well executed in the previous games. I'm actually glad it's gone. Yet, there seems to be no way of being utterly evil in a way that matters apart from influencing companion approval. It feels like the events in this game unravel in such a way that good and evil are not absolutes but matters of perspective, things are the way they are. I mentioned good immersion before. The feel it gave me was definitely not thanks to its questionable storyline and missing or added mechanics, but from the way the world was designed and the subtle details in the design itself. The little things companions do on their own or the stupidest detail of non static dialogue animation that shows npcs looking at where you are and following you around. There are good stories hidden in the way the environment and some characters are designed that you don't need to read a wall of text to figure out what happened there. Perhaps the effort that normally goes into awesome super graphics went into the world instead, freeing the game from a shitty brown lifeless world and remembering that there are other color palettes and prevailing weather despite a nuclear apocalypse. The early Power Armor surprised me a lot and I was sitting there thinking "no Bethesda! NO!". Then my fusion core depleted and I was left wandering helplessly. It was a relief noticing that I was shown a glimpse of power and then stripped from it. Sure, I could go back as soon as I found another core, but the suit really didn't fit my stealthy snipy gameplay anyway. With survival difficulty, the game became a satisfying challenge to push through. As an added bonus, Bethesda finally got rid of the awful level scaling for enemies and found a balance that felt more like an old school RPG in which I would strive to get srtonger and return to a location later after getting my arse handed to me a dozen times. It made progression something to look forward to. When this idea first got introduced in Oblivion it was shit. The same bandits you came across early in the game would run around wearing Daedric armor later in the game, completely overlooking the fact that they could cash in that gear, buy a house and a farm, and have absolutely no need to rob peasents at the side of the road. That was shit and I'm happy with the state that enemy levelling works in Fallout 4 with the addition of a few veteran npcs among low level groups giving it a feel of having a stronger boss running around and the legendary enemies sprinkled here and there. I don't know how they did it, but players can feel their strength when they return to easier zones but not too overpowered as they can still get killed if they are too careless. That balance is almost perfectly executed, well done! Still shitload of other types of bugs and glitches but I wanted to focus on some stuff that a Black Isle fan would worry about. I don't think Bethesda were never any good with bug fixing, polish, or story (except maybe Morrowind). They excelled mostly at environment and exploration. Regardless, I don't want a polished apple that's rottent inside, like a lot of AAA games and perhaps even Fallout 3 only and only if you try to compare it to Fallout 2 (which never really ends with satisfaction). I'd rather have a dirty looking apple that is actually edible, which what Fallout 4 feels like. Overall good ideas and a taste of what Bethesda can make of this in the future if design choices are made in a way that takes risks rather than trying to play it safe and not add a lot of elements a lot of players can like. They don't need to follow a market research of any sorts, gamers are not automatons. An established name and good quality will sell itself. So go ahead Bethesda. Give the RP lovers what they thirst (even though most will still find things to be upset about), spend some more time on QA, bring the survival mode of New Vegas for those survival lovers, and perhaps even add the option to explore the world with a friend (not by adjusting the story using the story and branching nature of RP as a lame excuse to express how it can't be done, but by simply making a companion controllable by a friend). Take risks. You had 4+ years to develop this and loads of cash to do it, I don't believe for one second that the implementation of multiple things at once is a resource issue and choices have to be made. For those who claim that's how game design works, I am confident I can argue my case for hours). Note: I am aware my ideas seem all over the place. It's 7:00 a.m. and I haven't slept (yet still retain enough cognitive function to produce a wall of text and an excuse).
