Fallout 4 - Sanctuary Hills Compound - Settlement Tour

Tour of the small compound I built in Sanctuary Hills to serve as a home base for my new character on survival mode.

The Workshop house became the player home, whilst the Sole Survivor house is now home to my settlers who provide the character with the food and supplies he needs in exchange for a safe home.

are you aware of the two burial plots behind one of the wrecked houses near the culvisack of sanctuary? (go twords the tree in the back, and as you're looking at it, its behind the wrecked house to the left)

Darth Xion i used one as a burial plot for Nate. and used the little word tiles you get from one of the updates to say here lies nate. as well as a bunch of other stuff. Great father, husband etc.

how did you move the sanctuary hills sign ?

I didn't :) It's still there. The new one is included in the Unlocked Settlement Objects mod. I think it could have been moved using the pillar and select all had I wanted to, (also as a function of USO), but I decided to leave the original in place. It just doesn't look right when you come over the bridge without it!

Darth Xion but how did you get those garage door? As far as I remember, USO doesn’t have that kind of door but maybe I’m mistaken

USO is most likely. My mod list was pretty basic back then and most things like that are USO. I couldn't tell you where it is though. The powered one is from the Contraptions DLC. Should be in with the warehouse stuff. That much I can remember!

can I ask why it's so small ?

Not sure how I feel about that question... :-p It's small because the build is on my survival playthrough, (goo.gl/S8pes8), so I wanted it in keeping with the spirit of that. The character doesn't really care about settlements, except in as far as they are useful to him. It has everything he needs and something small and inconspicuous is much less of a target. My eventual plan is to go totally the opposite direction on my main building save. Hopefully build something to rival Diamond City.

Big builds are fun, but need a lot of time and planning. I try to come up with a concept and build according to that. The prison build was pretty huge, but a home for one companion, (only done Curie's so far), is naturally much smaller. Apart from Strong's Super Mutant camp anyway.
