I have watched literally hundreds of settlement builds and this is easily the best. This really does look like a settlement in a post apocalyptic world. So many tiny features that have truly inspired me. I build a lot but mainly with concrete as I thought it just looked nicer than wood. You sir have shown me wood can look just as amazing and maybe even better. Keep up the great work and you have earned a sub and many video likes.

Would love it if modders could grab settlements like these and then upload them as a "prebuilt" settlement that you could place. Bonus points for making them evolutionary so in the erly game you build it slowly piece by piece.

I built my settlement around functionality, with it being very secure, and the various things I would use close together for convenience. That said, this settlement is WAY more aesthetically pleasing and lore friendly than mine, and it makes me want to try to make secondary settlements like it.

man... THAT is a nice settlement. I've seen so many videos and there are a shit load of crap out there. this is just great. you realy should do more tutorials for things like the fences around the waterpumps and so on... and you should realy do a "lets build" or something like this. I think you will get more viewers...!

+Barentor thank you! Yeah I was thinking of doing a few more niche guides on how to achieve certain effects and visual elements around your camps. Also going to be doing a LetsPlay series soon (on a Don't Starve Shipwrecked) so that should hopefully add a little variation to the channel.

I know this is 4 years old, but I really like what you did with the fencing around the water pump at the river. Tell me I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I've finally figured out a decent way to use those homes you can't scrap at other settlements. County Crossing comes to mind. Line up and lay down some wooden floor pieces on the outside almost flush against the walls and use barn or warehouse walls. They're tall enough that your ceiling pieces will easily go over the roofs of otherwise useless ruins like those. Just an FYI for those who hadn't tried that yet. :)

@Jhowy-wu3mr5 ай бұрын
This gives me a really classic Fallout vibe too. Like from Fallput 1 or 2. I’ve never played either but I’ve watched lore videos and seen gameplay and I get the same vibe here from the aesthetic. It’s clean and orderly but still kind of grimy and all mish mashed together. Truly looks like a post apocalyptic town that obviously has order and direction guiding it’s construction so that it looks impressive but still looks like every last inch of the settlement is from salvaged materials the residents have gathered over the years. Kinda what I imagine an early shady sands would’ve looked like after it began growing and forming the NCR or like the Hub or even new Arroyo minus the tribal influence of aesthetics.

your sanctuary hills really inspired me to put a lot more effort to building a more believable fallout settlement. just wanted to ask, if you could show the perimeter of your walls, i mean sanctuary is a pretty open area and i would like an idea where you put up walls, gates and such. thanks again
@norespawns9 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) - it would be a little time consuming for me to make a video; however I can tell you that I only have two entrances into the town - the main gate and the back doorway leading to the purifier. The fences are 'linking' all the houses together, so there are no gaps.
@jcrapirap9 жыл бұрын
+norespawns quick question, i'm having trouble getting my settlers and my companions through the door/doorway that i attached in houses at sanctuary. People won't enter as if their path is blocked by the doorway. Did you encounter this in any way? PS. i used the rug glitch and shoved a doorway infront of the existing doorway.
@norespawns9 жыл бұрын
If you watch my latest let's build video, at the end I make a wooden decking/walkway thing; that should give them a decent surface to walk onto and enter the house :)
@dzh12399 жыл бұрын
How do you power all of your homes? It doesn't look like you made a giant building with like twenty generators which is what I tried to do. Is the windmill on top of each house powering each individual house
