My head canon is that the Institute either wins or is forced by other factions to accelerate a terraforming project based on a recovered GECK, which allows for the spreading of spores into the upper biosphere. Add a couple years of good, healthy rain and a few years later we see a lush, flourishing ecosystem return to the Commonwealth. That alone would prove to be the catalyst for the Commonwealth to unite under a common banner and create a much nobler, stable society.

From everything I know about radiation, Boston would be full of plant-life basically the whole time. There were no nukes dropped that close to the city (irl the glowing sea is like a 45 minute drive). Also, it seems a missed opportunity/ strange that animals can adapt to radiation fine, but the more radiation resistant plants can't at all.

Some of the first ones I saw of urs and was hooked. Love the Tenpenny tower, brings in some of the older Fallout for me. Thanx so much for sharing. Anyway of topic a bit. Does anyone play the Sims 4? I absolutely love building in Sims 3 with all expansions (on a computer I had made to play older games) and just starting 4 on PS4 but the base is kind of, uh and hate to put out money for expansions if its not that good of a game to play.
