Some notes: If you think my Vanilla looks great already, it's because of the NAC X weather mod. The NAC X ENB is a bit hard to notice when outdoors because it's mostly just an enhancement of the NAC X weather mod, you can see that in interiors it makes quite a difference.

I think the NAC X ENB matches the fallout feel the most, some of the others make the wasteland look like an instagram post

You should try reactor enb though, it's more eyecandy but it is so good. It's relatively new but gained a massive endorsements quickly

NAC has a good subtlety to it, while Ghost is subtle and stylistic. PRC often looks too bright, and Reactor is just “it’s all blue”. The character lighting looks better in Ghost and PRC than in NAC, where they look sorta red.

PRC X looks so realistic in interiors but outside it is a bright bomb

I love PRC-X's Interiors but hate it's exteriors, and I love Ghost's Exteriors because it feels darker and real but the interiors feel faded and washed out.

Ghost ENB is the best one by far IMO. Maybe cause it has a grim and dark feel. Amazing.

it makes clear weather unrealistically dark. half of the ENB presets for Skyrim has the same problem.

Ive never liked how Reactor puts a blue'ish tint on everything.

You can literally change that in it's enb menu. Reactor has many presets for color lookup tables.

Try Quantum Horizon ENB for NAC-X man, that's my favorite ENB, a lot of LUTs you can tweak. An author make 3 or 4 versions for diffirent Weather mods. Your character will looks amazing on that ENB

All are great. Now I'm using "reactor" enb but with disabled LUT, which make look less cold. Imho looks better then.

I've always liked Ghost ENB, but I think NAC X ENB takes it here. Honestly though, Fallout 4 doesn't even need an ENB. Vanilla by itself looks great.

Yea that was one of my issues with PRC. The whites were really bright and the darks way too dark. Lifting the shadows in PRC was time consuming and I didn’t end up liking it because I don’t have a photographers eye and also I’m lazy

@@deepfriedicecream576 to be honest, the biggest offender is the overexposed sun/ sun bloom. The surface overexposure is not as bad.

This is a tough one for me. I agree that it's overexposed, but I do love how natural the colors appear. Interiors, of course, are much better. If the exteriors weren't so bright I'd be all over this ENB.

Love the look of reactor but it cuts my FPS in half on a 2080 ti

the graphics card does not matter, it always will cut in half, but you should not have any problems running this, since i can run this with 400+ mods and still have 144 fps

@@push42 Yeah i know i shouldnt be having issues at all, i got a feeling its mostly due to the fact i play in 4k, Bethesda games scale like shit with resolution. But i got a 4k monitor so playing in 2k aint much of an option unless i can find a mod that gives me resolution scale like display tweaks from Skyrim SE

@@unclefrosty8912 I have a 3090 and I also play in 4k with reactor. The best way I could manage stable frame rates of 60 or higher was by tweaking the games shadows, tweaking the ini TAA settings, and lastly, adjusting or disabling the SSAO feature in the enb. It’s a very heavy effect and that alone can reduce frames by 10-30fps. The self intersection, IL and AO features can be adjusted to have lower sample counts for better performance, as well as just turning them off works best. You frankly aren’t missing much with it on, except for some neat looking bounce lighting but it’s very noisy and compromises the image when in motion. Good for screenshots tho

@@unclefrosty8912 install prp or if you have scrap everything make sure you don't have the "extensions" option on as it disables the pre combines. shadow tweaks or godray ultra should give you a stable fps

Heyo, I used Nuclear Reloaded in this video, however, I've since started using Luxor's Summer Pine Trees, as it's a more stable forest mod overhaul. Nuclear Reloaded is great looking, but quite unstable.

Lol, sorry, by "vanilla" I actually mean "without enb" but with other mods. I'm actually using the NAC X weather mod in the vanilla footage (yes, there's a weather mod called NAC X and an ENB called NAC X).

Not a big fan of the blue tint in reactor but it is easy to turn it off if needed.

Yeah, you can change the color pallet of the whole thing very easily. Actually love reactor and I'm not sure why... The sharpening is so good, it makes the game seem to have a a bigger resolution even though it doesn't.

How do I access the enb menu midgame without having to pause the game? What I mean is I can open the enb no problem but whenever I try to get the mouse over there it moves my character in game and I can’t just isolate my interaction to the enb.

Open the console, with tilde. It will still pause the game but without the pause menu

Im new to modding and pc's. Ive installed vogue correctly with vortex, set the vram to my specs (~12000) but im getting a solid 15fps in sanctuary and concord. Is my pc just not good enough? I have an i7 and 3060 if that helps

I know this is a month old, but Sanctuary is considered a "Hot Spot". The Top left corner of the map is just a devourer of frames. Same with Boston and some of the Southern Areas. It's just cause of how horribly optimized Fallout 4 is.

I believe in this video I was using Nuclear Reloaded (for the trees) and True Grass. Nuclear Reloaded was removed from the Nexus though, you may have to dig a big deep to find it.

@@GRY2048 It's still on Nexus but is not maintained anymore. But there are very nice alternatives. I personally use Grassland, looks beautiful. If you add some nice Tree Mods you feel like its a completely new game

After 5 years and better hardware I'm trying to have a better modded experience of Fallout 4 after 400 hours on PS4, but probably my 6Gb 2060 won't be able to do much and exploit full potential of a 50 inch 4k TV

It gives some details, but it's not properly made despite the effort :/ First your vanilla isn't vanilla, then your game has the stupid grass/jungle overhaul that change everything landscape wise, and you didn't gave enough time between to do pause comparison.

If you love Vanilla, which i think reminisce of the old school Fallout 1 and 2 with it's colors and no screen tints like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, you should try Vogue, Subtle or Decent. It enhanced the looks and retain the vanilla feel. Quite gorgeous for screenshots as well.
