This is a great modlist, makes it a lot more realistic without completely ruining the fallout aesthetic. In vanilla everything looking so dead doesn't make sense since it takes place 200 years after the war. With these mods, it makes it look like nature has taken over.

I had that problem ,if you add things in the game that edit the same cell or settlement it makes small unseen glitches across the game that slow performance,like the vault 111 elevator glitch ,is the easiest way to find out you need to adjust load order and put heavier mods above or below depending on the type .

@seniordoggo the flora would have places where if loaded could cause lag spikes and crashes ,or if you pay close attention you can see clipping from broken textures where they begin to flicker or the concrete from the water dam area that has a low resolution layer over it can also cause crashes.

@seniordoggo if you want a really thorough explanation on load order I suggest looking on nexus mods website on the fallout 4 game and looking at the modding guide theres a load order page that will tell you everything that you need to know before modding but it isn't guaranteed to work ,so after that you still need to go through a process on console especially such as resetting the console and closing the game and starting a new game.

With NAC X I would also recommend disabling lens distortion, under the noises tab. It makes the edges a lot clear and for me don’t strain my eyes.

Yeah, that could be it, the DLCs are worth it, but I recommend you get them all in a bundle. Also, there are many mods that require all dlcs, so it's highly recommended to have them all.

While i think Quantum Horizons does a good job with colors, i also think Reactor is the far more advanced ENB between the two. My biggest issue is Reactor's lens flares are so intense.

I assume you could simply adjust or disable them from the ENB settings. When you first install Quantum Horizons, there is letterboxing and vignetting, which I (and probably many/most others) immediately disable.

Trying Quantum Horizons now. Immediately lost a ton of fps so i'll run it for a while and see if I can live with that. I play in 4K and, with other mods this really pushes an RTX 3080 to its limit. I cap my FPS at 60, but enabling this immediately drops me to the 40s. It's a shame because this is one of the better-looking ENBs I've seen.

If your on console you can use this one too it looks great and removes ugly pixelated shadows at every corner and changes quality of sharpness for every sunlight beam called "Candy Eye "ported by drmabuse1981,also use with "TLS graphics improver" with speed increase (%7 increase version)to lessen the 30 fps unplayability on console and fix the ugly blur effect on surfaces by sharpening the effects on objects almost like what enbdev and reshade 4 does ,the best you can get in lighting overhauls is still "wasteland illuminated shadows" and "enhanced lights and fx " "forest fungus de-lit" also takes out ugly fake wall clipping tree lights ,atomic cataclysm will make the game noticably more clear and immersive powered lights atually light the area around instead of 1 ft away,ugly flat grass is changed to look less noticeable,saturation adjusted just right too for playstation users.

Do you run Quantum Horizons and ELFX at the same time? I find that interiors are way too dark with both. Pitch black really. Can't appreciate the lighting of ELFX and can't appreciate the color palette of Quantum Horizons.

Yes, I do use them both together. Some interiors really do get darker. Did you tinker with the NAC X settings? There some that mess with interiors, I recommend you leave them turned off, if possible.

@@markfusion1 I don't use NAC X, but I finally found a setting in Quantum Horizons to increase the brightness in interiors, so now I can use ELFX with it and not have to run a flashlight full-time. The downside is that the setting I adjust seems to be tied to the current weather, so when the weather changes the setting is reset. If there's a way to universally brighten interiors in the ENB settings, I don't know what it is.

@@markfusion1 By the way, I did find the setting to brighten interiors. Now the only issue I have with this ENB is the way it kills the ELFX effects. Without an ENB, ELFX makes things like lightbulbs blinding to look at, which of course is realistic. With Quantum Horizons, those light sources are just.. dead. I'm sure there are settings in the ENB to improve this, but that's far beyond my knowledge base.

NACX doesn't remove godrays, it uses them for all the weathers with different settings for each and for every time of day. Slapping a generic godray mod over it just ruins all the weathers.

Odd, ever since I started to use NAC X, the godrays in my game ceased to exist, only started seeing them again after I used godrays for NAC. Well, maybe I missed them while I played. If you still have them then you don't need godrays for nac them even better then.

The exterior looked worse like a unmodded old game from the early 2000’s while the vanilla shots looked like next gen graphics, I love NAC but I’m not a fan of people going for the washed out colorless look. i have this same issue also indoors, gonna try and play with the ambient lighting settings more today, someone said it's the ambient occlusion setting but i can't find that one. Hi so regarding the tree mod. There are a few trees that are in the air and some funky washed out textures on the trees when you get closer to the town at beginning of the game. Yet at first its flawless what is the work around?

Honestly, I forgot, but I believe putting them at the beginning of your load order might fix it. I might be wrong. Considering this mod is quite buggy, I ended up switching to Luxor's Summer, which is very stable.

Call me crazy, but the grass alone was enough to do it for me. Also if I'm using the HD DLC for the game, should I bother with the large HD pack in the video? I'm definitely going to do the grass, trees, and light. One note, you totally missed the "Clean Water" mod. It gives several clarity and rad options. My water is rad free and looks like tropical lagoon.

Thanks for mentioning the Clean Water mod, I actually used to use this one. Regarding the HD DLC, I personally don't use it as the textures aren't very good and it's too big for what it brings. I'm pretty sure the mod textures are better but it's totally up to you.

Thanks! As for your issue, damn, it's another bug I have never seen. Might be related to the ENB or NAC X night settings. Try tinkering with the NAC X settings to see if it helps. It might also be because of the big update that came out today. It messed with many mods.

Thanks. About the black lines, they come from the ENB. To disable them, you need to go to the ENB settings, shade parameters, enbeffectpostpass.fx, LetterBox. You need to turn the 1 in LetterBox, to 0.

I have never got any of the tree mods to work. A forest or this one. Either the trees spawn with no leaves on in the case of nuclear reloaded they just disappear when i get close.

"Nuclear Reloaded" seems to crash my game every time as soon as I leave Vault 111 and "A Forest" has too much of a performance impact lowering my FPS below 60. Even without it I usually get around 80 in Sanctuary and in Concorde I can hardly keep 60. This is on an RTX3080 and a Ryzen 5600x with 16gb 3200mhz cl16 ram. Any tips on improved performance or am I just stuck with this because of bottleneck?

Damn, that's really odd, your PC is way better than mine (3060 ti, i5-10600k) and NR never caused any CTDs to me or any huge drops in fps (a Forest is even lighter I think). Have you gotten TrueGrass? This one causes framerate drops. You neeed to tweak a bit in tje ini settings I believe.

In the Fallout 4 ini, try lowering iMinGrassSize to 20, I'm not sure what is the default.

Hello! Thanks for the awesome video, man! I used this video as a guide for me to get the experience I’m looking for. I used Nexus Mod Manager and have everything working (I think) except for one major issue: My GPU is a 3090 and I’m running the game at 4K resolution. However my fps is complete shit. I went through a process of unlocking the game’s self-imposed 60fps cap, so I should be able to get higher frames. I’m targeting 80-120. Apparently there’s a physics issue if you go above 60fps but I’ve downloaded a mod to fix that as well. I was hoping with this being an older game, I could use these graphics mods and have a smooth experience with my 3090. Any tips on improving my fps, consistently? I want to stay above 80 as much as I can.

Yeah man, this game's quite badly optimized lol. Even at 1440p my RTX 3080 goes under 60 fps in some areas. I'm hoping Bethesda will fix it this year, with their big FO4 update this year.

You can install Nuclear Reloaded via the mod manager just like most mods, just don't leave the plugin at the bottom or you will get weird save file names (very weird bug). You can also just use the mod "A Forest" if it makes it easier for you.

Sorry, but pretty much PC only. As far as I know, you can't have ENBs on consoles. And modding is very limited, unless they changed it on consoles, which I doubt because Sony is pretty annoying about modding.

Sorry for not replying, I missed your comment. I think you might be referring to the QBZ-191 gun mod (in the beginning of the video). It's one of my favorite gun mods. I modified it in game btw.

Try putting Nuclear at the top of your load order

Great. How much GPU power would it take, assuming all the mod loaded and all settings maxed out, for 1080P gameplay at ~60FPS? Dont tell me I must buy the future 4090Ti just to play a Full HD game... I have 3060 at the moment.

For reference I have a 3060 ti and a i5-10600k, at 1440p. With all those mods on I average 40 - 55 FPS, it's very demanding lol. Maybe at 1080p you will have an easier time.
