The problem with Pumpkin grenades (and all other grenades) is that Nuka grenades exist...

I ran the pumpkin mission quite a few times since I needed the pumpkins to craft some of the plans dropping from the spooky scorched event. I too found the grenades to be ineffective but I didn't have the points invested in the perk cards like you did. Thanks for the video as now I know for sure not to bother with these things. Nuka grenades are still the way to go for me. Take care.

They work really well against groups or in confined space - toss into a building, encampment etc for maximum effect. And in my experience they devastate Mirelurks.

I tend to use them mostly on human enemies, because of the radiation portion. I like them, they're fun but they don't do much overall.

Same here,have only gotten 3 grenades and I do this every day. Super easy daily. Also there are more pumpkins across the street houses near fissure site. Love your videos man❤❤

Instigating weapons would help double the damage, but it would still be better to invest in nuka cola grenades, instigating plus perks plus nuka cola grenades can easily do more than 1k of damage.

You're using radiation grenades against enemies with high radiation damage. Humans and scorched don't last long against them.

Problem with those is there main damage is radiation all mobs are radiation resist think they would only work on humans I like them in towns of humans

got a few of them a couple of weeks ago and as i rarely use grenades i sold them. tbh i was wondering if i made a mistake. it appears not.

They work good in Swarm of Suitors and Teatime. Anywhere you get large groups together. They work well on bugs, ghouls, scorched, mutants, mirelurks. They are bad on individuals. Bosses not so well either.

Have you tried shooting the grenade with VATS once you throw it? Pretty sure the damage is increased from that by default, which was a perk in FO4. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like grenades do more damage when they are shot. It also helps you control WHEN it explodes a bit more.

VATS grenade was a common tactic in Nuclear Winter. It was a skill that I never developed.

I'd rather have VATS hit chance or extra crit damage on the 2nd star. I'd prefer faster reload on the 3rd star. I'd probably just scrip/scrap that piece.

I rather use nuka n flamer floater grenades.. They thru the wall.. Plasma grenades 3x more powerfull than this grenades.. Thank for the information 👍🏻

I really wanted to make these work and they are just eclipsed by pulse grenades even with the DOT gimmick. e: it's actually a good time to play around with pulse grenades because the big throttle is circuitry, and the alien invasion event gives you gobs of circuitry
