The Black Titanium is actually super easy to get, you just need to go to Welch, buy the prospecting maps, then go dig up the resources and you get a load!

Do not read if you do not like sad stories. Ok so I was server hopping for power armor at the Nuka Cola bottling Plant, and I finnaly joined a server eith a full set of T-51. There were a bunch of ghouls, more than usual, so I decided to take them out before I get the Armor. Once I killed them all, my controls were disabled and I got disconnected from the server

To get Black Titanium, it is easier to kill Moleman Miners. For example, in Blackwater Mine.

The armor can be crafted at 35, 45, etc. variants, as well. Just like the other Power Armors. Several people are saying that it is cheaper to make new armor than to repair an old piece. There are at least a few quests like this. You get told to make or use something (EG the anti-Scorched pistol from that training) and completing the quest gives you the plans/ability to craft it on your own. Each of them can be crafted at higher/lower levels. My suspicion is that they set the repair cost at the "highest" level they thought of, and forgot to put in scaling costs.

As it happens I actually had the stuff to get it laying around. On the way I had even come across an empty armor frame. Good, because we didn't see the armor in the building. Another tip for the black titanium, if you go to black water mine and kill the miners inside the armor scraps that can be dropped by the miners can be scrapped for black titanium

As i already have this i can confirmed that it's very worth getting even for builds that doesn't use power armors due to the absolute utility is brings that can be amazing in many situation. The 100+ carry weight is something i use regularly to just stack up on a ton of weapons that i scrap for mods or sell.

for the people who play fo4 (including me) there is a mod that adds the excavator power armor into the game in the mods tab. It can be found at Quincy Quarries and two variants are found there. I don’t know if this bug is just for me (xbox 1s) if you view the raider modification for it in the power armor station crafting your game will crash. Hope this was helpful!

You miss the one thing that makes this the best power armor in game, when wearing the full set, you get +100 carry weight on top of the power armor bonus to strength.

@@IMonkeMan I've made a lv 45 set, randomly came across a full suit of raider armour also at 45 and it had far better resistances than my Excavator set, besides radiation. Currently the best suits for ballistic resistances are Ultracite and X-01, X-01 being the best in all resistances.

It's the reward for completing the quest for the armor, and as far as I know it is the only non rng way to obtain the plans , but you have to be wearing the full armor at the facility and scan it in a room in the R&D lab in the mining headquarter.

I found a deposit of black titanium ore out in the ash heap, so I set up my C.A.M.P. there, and built an extractor on it. I got all the titanium I needed in under an hour, and sold the rest.

If u take over a workshop that has a junk deposit you can put a machine on it that extracts all sorts of building materials u just gotta watch it players can take stuff from machines you build but If you do this you can just go do events and come back in between to grab materials

@@ps4sucksxx462 or just farm offices or the CEO's mansion right across the street from the mining HQ , has a ton of loot if you swiped the access card from the headquarters ... But really it's not hard to find this stuff , especially if you use the function that highlights what you need at the crafting stations, afterwards any junk you need for it will have a magnifying glass icon on it until you dismiss the function again at the crafting stations in question. This is by no means hard, just time consuming.

I ran for my life for like 10 minutes with this guy chasing me with a grenade launcher until I reached this dark forest.
