A trick I like to do with the pressure plate is to use a mannequin. They are coded as NPCs and eliminate the need to power it with a generator.

That’s a great idea too! Since making this, I’ve learned you can just put the pressure plate out and move it a little bit and it’ll activate, no need for the generator or mannequin! If it goes out from you stepping on it, just store it and place/move it again! Learned that from Nuka Violet

Can confirm on PC, at the time of this video release, the pillar blueprint is still working for me. Created a new blueprint just to be sure. You do need to stack 2 small pillars for it to work. A long pillar does not work.

Thank you for confirming on PC! I’m on PS and I’ve tried everything under the sun lol. When I made my last tutorial, the blueprint was even made with the longer post and I did it several times and worked just fine! Not sure if this is a platform issue that surely would suck :(

@@galacticbuilds(ps) today I tried to use the second floor above trick to place the shorter pillars around my jacuzzi, but it doesn’t work. Only works for the large pillars (to get them to snap a bit closer together than if there is a regular roof piece above). Still snap and no free placement - maybe it’s something that will randomly start working without notice one day 🤷‍♀️

Another great vid with loads of tips and new tricks for me to try; especially the curtains - why is it often so hard to place curtains? Where’s the logic? 🤣🤣 Since the last tutorial I’ve been adding the wee mushroom lamps to everything and they look fab (Yasmin’s oven, rad plant barrels, palm pots and my favourite- the tv aquarium 👌). Hopefully some good news on the posts comes soon.

To get the post to go anywhere first put one down where ever you can. Then put another one on top of it. Next take a small rug and place it as close to the post as possible. Blue print both poles and rug. TaDa!! Now you can place anywhere you just gotta remove other pole and rug after placement

This is the same method I used for the one in my last tutorial, and it is very very finicky for me now! The posts will tend to snap away from the rug. Though out of about 8 tries, I did get another working blueprint doing it this way! Thank you for your help 💕😊

Sometimes, when not allowed to place curtains over windows, changing the windows to solid walls will allow curtains to snap. Afterwards change the wall back to windows. Because Bethesda. 🙄

turn mic up or put nearer your mouth or speak louder... also taking music out or lowering will stop it overpowering over your soft voice.

I edited this video while I was sick & turned my audio down too low in Adobe without realizing it😢 It isn’t usually like this haha I’m just not a pro :P
