Fallout 76 - How to FARM the Charleston SECRET VENDOR? + 11 RARE Outfit Display | Farming Guide

The Charleston Secret Vendor has 11 RARE outfits for your cosmetic collection but this robot is not so easy to find. This secret vendor is part of a random event spawn located near the Charleston Train Station and you might need several server jump to find it once. But even when you find it, it has a very limited life span of 1-2 minutes! However, there is a trick that allows you tor eset the inventory/items for sale of the vendor, as well as the life span. This strategy requires another player and it ensures that you can farm ALL the rare outfits that you can get from the Charleston Secret Vendor, such as Grey Fisherman's Overalls; Wool Fisherman Cap (Green); Ranger Hat Clean; Longshoreman Outfit; Yellow Sticker Hat; Skiing Purple and White outfit; Skiing Red and Green Outfit; Clean Spacesuit Helmet; Clean Spacesuit; Winter Jacket and Jeans and the Hunter's Long Coat.

I've never seen him sell the purple skiing outfit. I did find a corpse with the plan to craft it and I sell them at a meager 25 caps. They sell well!

The Asylum Uniforms - Green, Pink, Blue Forest and Red - can be farmed at Fort Defiance and people pay big money for those colors. The Red Uni is the rarest but I found it at Defiance. Worth the grind!

The ranger hat clean can be found in places where you find the normal one, for the Space suit and helmet as well 😅. Found the clean ranger uniform as well. This vendor never has apparel when I see him, think he doesn't like me 😂. Hope to find the hunters long coat one day or the traveler coat from somewhere. Nice show in the end.

Another spawn place is on the road(64) south of Gorge Junkyard. You get on the road and walk east and once you pass the cars you turn around and walk back until you see if the bot spawned or if something else spawned. Another I know of is on the train tracks east of Wilson Brothers Auto Repair. From the auto repair place you walk on the road going east and once you come across the train tracks you turn left and follow the train tracks, there's like two or three train carts on the track and when you walk past them you might see the bot spawn on the tracks up ahead. 😊👍

this is how I was taught months ago: when I get there or re-log I go straight to the station vendor. it takes a few moments for the vendor to load then I open the trade menu. it dosent matterif I want to buy anythign or not I just open then close the trade. Then I check to see if anyone has their base nearby. (if there is a camp I jump to the next server) if there is no camp then I go down the tracks until I step onto the 2nd red bridge (this is where the church bells can get triggered for the other event) then I check to see if the Grafton monster is there and kill it, then I head back up the tracks to toward the train station. By the time I get to the shed I will see which random spawn has arrived. (my favorite is the Eyebot leading the rats lol)

The bot life span is actually longer. It was there for over 20 minutes last I came across it. I had time to message others on the server and others got there in time. I finally left after 20 minutes and it was still going.

​@@InnovSurvivalist Can confirm, we had the vendor bot last a long time (20+ minutes) by keeping the vendors trade screen open while the other person re-logged and then swapping over - I think it slows the timer (or stops it) when you have the trade window open.

I've farmed this vendor approx 8-10 times and I've noticed the "life span" of the bot varies. it usually stays till we run out of caps or get bored re-logging. though on the other hand, one time we saw it drop dead approx 3-5 mins after it showed up.

The bridge at the other end also resets events. Just so you know you can do it at both ends each time you spawn in here

After the event in that spot, if you continue along the track up the hill there is another red bridge. Cross it past half way and run back and a 2nd event sometimes spawns at the top of the hill. That's how I got mine to spawn.

Ok, so I do have everything. Oh, and there is a guaranteed spawn location for the Clean Ranger Hat. The transmission tower (I can't remember the designation) just up the hill from Deathclaw Island has a Portable toilet behind it that the hat can be found inside. If it isn't there, sever hop until it is.

I've seen some of these spawn at locations in game. I found and sold a "Clean Spacesuit Helmet at a "hat spawn location" in a back corner of the Whitesprings near the back door to the Enclave Bunker. The clean Ranger Hat I've also seen in a Porta potty south of Tyler County Racetrack. It is behind a Radio Tower location.

You only need to touch the bridge, you don't have to go all the way across and I've gotten the bot to spawn right next to someone's camp there so idk what ur talking about when you say it's not possible to spawn when a camp is by it.

Hello! I like to throw some more light on this vendor, first of all, it doesn't matter if someone has a camp there, the vendor can still spawn, I used to have a camp right there (my vendors were at the little shack) and the vendor bot still spawned (as well as Grahm) so please, don't harrass people that build there (I always got harrased there). Second thing, the vendor can spawn at any other random event spot in the forest (you can Google mapalachia for a map with all the spots) including a nearby spot up north were the train bridge is.

You need to actively try to find it or it's extremely rare to see it randomly. But it's the only way to get these rare outfits.

I was searching for it for a while too. You might find a the mod or plan for the mod in someone's player vendor. and I noticed that finding even just one non-legendary power fist in game so I could scrap it is not easy. In fact I gave up looking. Later (lol) I realized I already had the plan to build power fist. According to fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Plan:_Power_fist we can buy P.F. plans from: Watoga Shopping Plaza: Sold by vendor bot Phoenix (player level 30+). The Whitespring Resort: Sold by Brotherhood vendor. build a few then scrap them (be sure to use the scrapper perk card for better chance) that's how I got the puncture mod

The Mothman will also spawn at the end of the bridge that has the telephone pole down..... act quick or he will fly away ! The Grafton monster level 10 spawns in that dry river bed every 15 - 20min. Good luck wastelanders 😉 I have also found the eye-bot that plays flute music and has a trail of 6 rap pups following him all around that area.... especially across the bridge.... don't shoot they will not harm you and it's funny as hell.... I got it on video but you cant hear the flute music 😔 It's still cool if you catch it when it's happening 😆

2022 Update: Looks like they patched out the loot list reset. I came back to the same server. Vendor bot list was still empty. Tried a few times. Vendor bot simply dissapeared after a short time.

I've never seen that vendor act hostile. there ARE hostile enemies which spawn there but the vendor bot just walks with the pack bhramin and eyebot escorts. following Innova's route you should see the vedor bot somewhere between the middle of the first bridge and the shack across the tracks from the station.

I thought maybe it was linked to an in game decision, but I reckon it's just cos the first time I ever saw him I accidentally hit him... The robot remembers... It's alright... I found a way around it... I bought every plan from every vendor in the game to get rid of caps and have something to do, and ended up with max caps so I bought them for ridiculous prices... Not that it matters cos I don't need caps but hate seeing the "max" come up... I like earning and accumulating even if for no purpose... It's not an event, it's a random event, as in it spawns random things in the area when you cross the bridge, as shown in the video.
