If you want double sided walls that are half, ramped or slanted; just use a stash stack with a flamethrower trap and destroy the wall, place a new one down and then repair the half wall etc that you just destroyed. Et voila you have double half wall. It takes a bit longer and is a bit more finicky but you can definitely wallpaper everything at that point :)

Great build looks very natural and native. Fits in really well with the existing neighbourhood. As someone else said this is a really underrated channel and I love how laid back it is and appreciate the slightly slower pace of the video and the absence of the tendency of KZbinrs to fake the “I’m so happy and energetic”, James Charles style of narration (nothing against James Charles just his emulators). There's a spot up on the ridge between two of the smaller homes to the east of Summersville reservoir that I want to try building a little lake cottage at. And now with CAMP slots, I can do it without losing my river house next to Ohio River Adventures.

Thanks! 😊 The changes coming up should help a lot. Shelters have greater flexibility than regular camps and they've hinted at more features in the future. It's more decoration and junk items that I want though!

Cheers Steve! Doubling up the walks will cost a bit more obviously, but walls are relatively low cost items in the first place, so I've never had much of a problem. Display items were more of an issue here.

Saw a tutorial for the Modern Home set, the half-walls and triangles can be double sided using the flame thrower trap trick.

Interesting thought. Assuming that still works though, (the glitch is pretty hit or miss after recent patches), it'd be a pain trying to get the flamethrower high enough. 🤔

Power armour will help keep you alive of you're falling a lot. 😂 I've done a couple by of cliffside builds in the past; there's a playlist with all of my FO76 builds in one place, so you should be able to find them in there. 😊

As always, awesome video friend. i really like the tutorial style on the house design, its really hard to make interesting structures within the clipping system with the blocky nature of the parts we have. oh... those caged lights are totally worth the grind... the lighting really is the seasoning that brings out the hidden flavour. wow. that metaphor was a stretch. oh well. btw, quick question, how big is the massive boxy entryway to the Vault shelters? in comparison to the floor and wall tiles? i want to leave a space in my camp walls for one but im not on the PTS so i cant check and my web searches come up with nothing.

Cheers Stephen! Breaking away from the tendancy for things to be square is part of the reason I like doing builds like this. The options available do tend to push you in that direction. The large Vault doors are pretty huge. Roughly I'd say at least 3 foundations wide and 2 deep. The whole thing has got to be getting on for 3 wall sections tall too. Budgetarily it's pretty tiny though. It's the physical size that's hard to work with. If you want to incorporate it into a build I'd get they in place first then build around it.

@@DarthXionGames thank you for the quick answer and good advice. wow, that does sound like a whopper of a prefab XD i was thinking about making a house front façade and building a very thin contemporary house around it, sort of a WTF for people who stumble on it sort of thing and go full on Enclave or mistress of Mystery sanctum in the vault, but that doesnt sound as practical as i thought it was. oh well, back to plan b, just a door on a wall to a box building with nothing in it. :)

Np. I'm sure there's a middle ground of some kind though!😂 It might theoretically be possible to enclose it but, there's a ramp on the front and it sinks into the ground like a foundation so it might be a challenge.

If you mean the main staircase inside the house, you should have it already. It's one of the basic structures available from the start.

They were available in the Atomic Shop a while ago. They'll probably reappear at some point. They're in the same menu row as the regular fences when you have them.

I swear, it's like they make something that would be nice to use, but intentionally make SOMEthing about it into an eyesore... like, they FINALLY released new patterns for the staircases instead of just the metal mesh, but the one that has a wood pattern, ALSO has an annoying tiny guard rail... Edit: and yeah, the glossy finish on 99% of the walls and floors makes it so that light sources reflect everywhere, and when I'm trying to make a dark and moody atmosphere in a room, its ruined by the smallest light hitting all the walls

🤔 You should be able to put flat roofs in as a porch. You can use the metal posts from the stair tab as supports too.

CAMP looks good but is glitchy as heck. Everytime I log in, it stuck me in the foundation and I couldn't fast travel to reload, I had to travel somewhere else and travel back, and the cherry on top is some of the wallpaper (double wallpaper or not) will be auto-removed and I can't repaint it unless I get rid of it and build it back.

I don't know what to suggest about the wallpaper, but you might have some luck withe the loading thing of you move your camp unit. It can be hit or miss though, but it might be worth a shot.

I can't remember for sure. Try making sure there's a wall underneath or possibly take the stairs out and stack the two doorways in place first, then put the stairs in after. Failing that you might be able to attach a separate staircase to the upper floor elsewhere, remove the first one, then put the door in, before replacing the stairs and removing the extra one. Hope that helps!

That tree! 😂 I remember having issues with that. You could try using a foundation to bulldoze it before you put the door in. It may not come back afterwards though so, something to keep in mind if you do want the tree.

@@DarthXionGames maybe it’s the fov? I’m on console. I lined up the foundations using the white line on the road just like you did but I only had a tiny little space of dirt on the left side of the house near the curb. It’s not really a big deal or anything just found that odd.

J'aime beaucoup cette construction (à part la salle de bain.. il aurait pu mettre des accessoires neufs et pas des trucs tous moches et défoncés, ça contraste trop avec les autres salles). Is it possible for other players to destroy your buildings?....also I wonder if anyone knows why I got a bounty on me recently for opening a locked safe that was empty and didn't appear to belong to anyone?.... obviously I'm new to this game and these 2 issues are really putting me off ☹️

Generally no people can't destroy your camp. If you we're to engage in PvP at your camp I think it's possible, but if you don't shoot back it's not a problem. You can turn pacifist mode on in the settings too so that they can't engage you at all outside of public workshops. Bounties will usually happen if you pick a lock at someone's camp, but occasionally supply drops triggered by other players are treated as owned by them too. It's a pretty infrequent thing though. They can also happen if you try engage in PvP against a player who doesn't shoot back, but most people who want to avoid that will have pacifist mode on anyway. The majority of players are pretty friendly so you shouldn't have issues with being on the recieving end of unwanted PvP generally either. Again, public workshops are the exception there.

Ah! Ok. I switched the back wall of the garage out for windows and ran wires to conduits on the outside. Then switched them back to walls. After that it's just a case of placing conduits around the outer walls and wiring them up. I generally try to keep them out of sight as much as possible, or at least tidy. I think most of the conduits are on the roof.
