Fallout 76 Pip-Boy Kit Upgrades!

We meet up with The Wand Company at E3 this year to check out their new upgrade modules for their Pip-Boy 2000 kit. From an actual radio (with wasteland frequencies) to actual radiation sensor, we can't wait to incorporate these mods to our Pip-Boy. Plus, a look at their new die-cast Fallout 76 vehicles!

I may be late on commenting, but the Wand company puts out some mighty fine products. I just recently purchased the latest edition of pipboy and the quality of construction is amazing. I also have the delivery van, my personal favorite. They also have a top notch customer support. Thank you, Charlotte. I plan on getting the pipboy stand next.

You can fit a fully working device with square screen that fits the 2000 kit, with a CRT look and pipboy interface built in. We did it on on our channel. Hoping the Wand Company changes their mind and produce something similar. Also, really want that rad meter to come out soon. Hope they have not abandoned the project.

Love my Nuka truck, Pick'R'Up and Fusion Flea!!! They're build to perfection. The only flaw I have seen was some minor paint defects on both trucks, but they're not noticeable unless one really looks closely. To be honest I didn't expect them to look so nice. I highly recommend them for anyone who is a fan! The Wand Company takes quality to the next level.

Found the Radio Module and the Bluetooth Speaker stand on the Bethesda store. Did not find the Geiger counter or Screen upgrade though. The brief QR code shown in the video just goes to a Bethesda Newsletter sign-up form.

I noticed that the pre-assembled Pip-Boys on the Bethesda website have the upgraded screens. Gamestop has the Pip-Boy kit on sale for $60, couldn't pass this up at that price.

What would have been really cool with the Nuka Cola delivery truck would be a personalized letter from John Caleb Bradberton (the founder and CEO of Nuka Cola) congratulating you on one million safe delivery miles and presenting you with a model of YOUR delivery truck. (Walmart kind of does this in real life with their delivery drivers but instead of just one million safe miles they wait until 3 or 4 million miles and present the driver with a brand new customized REAL truck for their job)

I've already bought the radio, and I'm awaiting the arrival of the stand and the screen by mail. I REALLY want them to complete and release that geiger counter so that I can "complete" my Pip-boy. And if the ever figure out a way to produce a fully functioning screen within a reasonable price ratio...............................JUST SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Way I see it, if they did another Screen upgrade, given that the Radio Module and Sensor Modules are already self-contained and use all the buttons for their own functions, the most likely case would be a fully 'animated' home screen, but with no option to go to the Inventory and Data screens. But what would be even nice is if you could say, connect it to your computer and let you access a simple Read File or similar, and edit it to show the stats and name you want instead of what's already printed into the screen.

@@MegidramonX That would be nice, but at this point in my life as a paraphernalia collector, I'll take whatever small thing I can get that's guaranteed to work. I've come to realize that when it comes to the small things that companies should get right for the release of these collector's items, they never do. For instance, I invested in the collector's edition of the Pip-Boy that was released for Fallout 4 by ThinkGeek. (The fully functional one with all of the working displays and radio.) It cost $400. And today, it's a brick. Because apparently the OS that they developed for this very simple device that was designed to ONLY scroll between four or five static displays when you turned the device's knob didn't work properly. And almost everybody who bought one suffered from boot up issues after one or two uses. Even when they told us as purchasers to return the item for repair or replacement, what we got back suffered the same problem. so as much as I would like for this company to develop a screen that does more than just light up, I don't know if I would trust them to do it. Because if the developers behind the ThinkGeek Fallout 4 Pip-Boy couldn't get a fake DOS prompt screen and a couple of static displays to work........

No idea. I just sent an e-mail to The Wand Company asking about that. I was blessed enough to be able to afford to buy the kit and all of the accessories during launch before they became scarce and I've been waiting for them to release that final piece as well. But it's been two years at this point so I don't hold out much hope that it's still a priority for them...if it's on their schedule at all anymore.

Dazzaw screen upgrade kit is not available on its own yet but they did say it will be coming. Probably same time as radiation module.

"It would have to be interactive with the game." Honestly, I don't think it needs to be. I feel the device could work well enough as it's own self-contained thing. Maybe mimick the functionality of the game to a degree, but not have to interact with it. Maybe give you the ability to edit the files and such to have it display the stats and inventory items you want, and change the name.

I would be all over this if it wasn't the Pipboy design from the multiplayer Fallout that I don't care about. I wonder if it would be possible to retrofit the radio in the Fallout 4 collector's edition Pipboy.

This kit is so much cooler than the Fallout 4 collector's edition pipboy. I never played 76 and don't care for it, but as a Fallout fan this pipboy was too nice not to get. The Fallout 4 pipboy is much smaller than the 76 one, but you could fit a small bluetooth speaker in it and use that as the radio. Or even a regular speaker with an aux cable since the pipboy was meant to have a phone in it.

At 7:42, they actually pull out the “nuclear core” and even though the truck isn’t doing it right now, every time you open the hood on one of their models (the Fusion Flea, the Pick-R-Up etc.) they simulate the blue Cherenkov Radiation that you would see looking down at a real life research nuclear reactor or a spent fuel pool.

ironrhino25 well, some of the lore that Bethesda has is that these are Diesel-Fusion V8 engines; likely biodiesel because in real life, it’s extremely easy to make biodiesel from used cooking oil (I can almost imagine Slocum’s Joe making a tidy profit selling their used donut fryer oil to Red Rocket to be refined into biodiesel)

Yes and No. Based on how it's priced and the quality of the product, I'd say Bethesda is taking minimal licensing fees to get a product out that will promote their game. Unlike companies like Square-Enix who will take a big chunk from licensing forcing a company to release a sub quality product (or ad a $20-50 figure to their game and charge $150-250 more)

Mr. Satyre unfortunately, you would never get your hands on a Lime Green Flea, because those were exclusive to GameStop store managers who had excellent sales of the pip boy kits. Although I would not mind having the Slocum’s Joe Flea and show it off to some of my local Dunkin franchises.
