its easy! youll need a can of air, some kapon tape, and a screwdriver set. first, disassemble your playstation - be careful not to tear any components. once you got the cover off, throw the entire thing away and get an xbox, or its mightier bigger brother a PC.

I know I wasn't expecting much and still got let down, but of all the stuff they port over from Fallout 4, I don't know why they don't rework the animal cage system from Wasteland Workshop. Even just: Put in a big, medium, and small cage, give each one a terminal like the junk collectors do and you can set it for a specific creature; the pacification field thing must be in-effect in some way, which is why animals at camps you recruit with perks stay friendly, that'd be my guess. That'd be a perfect solution as to what we've been asking for. I don't know how the devs work, maybe there's a good technical reason that I'm just not aware of, but if they're porting a half-assed Dogmeat over I feel like that's halfway there already; it's just so close but missing the mark entirely.

We can get pets, but we can't get more than one NPC to hang out at our settlement. Something we already had in Fallout 4.

I’ve had pets in the game for many years already. They are bugs. I named one crash, and the other ones called feature. Seriously though, why can’t they just fix the important things first before they add all these inconsequential updates?

Exactly what I thought they would be, I think anyone expecting more were living in fantasy land given the nature of the game and the ally system already in it. I hope they release a black cat for Halloween, a Santa hat for the pet at Christmas etc

I think constant pathfinding of pets for every player on the server would be too demanding for already not very stable servers, I don't think we ever gonna get anything like it

it is nice and all, but all hype, I assumed they would be at very least like secondary ally, giving some buff or something, I surely havent expected and in fact hoped it would be not a thing, to them follow you in world and do stuff as in in Fo4 (how would even any "usual" animal pet fight except dogs), they would only make more entities around crafting/gather hubs, events or whatever spots full of players, only improvement would be maybe if you could bring pet to other camps, those of teammates/friends only maybe? and make pets interact with each other, with some limit how many can be brought to one camp or something.. having some "pet animal" buff I expected, I guess it isnt thing then I guess we would consider them as camp decoration basically, I just hope to name be public and not only for you (at first I assumed brahmin was that and it made me disappointed but I see it works to show name publicly and I indeed like to see funny cow names, it is my favorite feature of whole outpost update.. cow names, yes.. with animals it will be less, I guess as I assume complete freedom of that will make more expectable "funny" names around.. or something rude, or whatever, charm in brahmin names is that you got to choose funny combination but I still am alright with pets, even if they come just as basically fancy camp decoration, they can give some touch to camp, likely will come more races of cats and dogs too, somehow selectable, maybe other animals like bunny or whatever.. I would like to see small sheep or tiny pony, those could be interesting (and ye, i know about apparent lore to equines be gone but would they have to be gone some 30 or so years after bombs already and everywhere?), I dont know what else they can add as this kind of animals but dogs and cats.. and obscure stuff as turtle, tamed molerat or whatever, and I can finally have animal iin camp that I dont need to look for days (and find nothing) to tame it, while risking it be killed by random molerat spawning in my camp three days later, I assume cat/dog will be for free at first, maybe some small quest reward, maybe in season shop, but apparently we are getting also new weapon there so I dont know if to expect two fairly big things in that

This isn't what we asked for. We wanted companions ala Fallout 4 that go with us and do stuff for us. This is a money maker for them. They will sell additional pets, they will sell interactions for them. They will sell toy and gear for them. This is more monetization fun from VaultTec.

1: you can farm scrip and legendarys faster by just going and doing events 2: this is literally just the same thing as having a collector at your camp..the only differences is you can make your shit sit and speak..like bro..just let us take our pets on our adventures so they can help you fight enemies and while exploring they can collect stuff on the go. Oh, I'm very aware it was going to be a minor thing, but the sheer laziness of this is impressive. Not even including an animation other than a vague hand wave in the rough direction of the pet when interacting with it is just so Bethesda. I'm just getting so tired of this half-ar$€d approach to everything that they've seemingly adopted. It's like they can't be bothered to do a good job. "oh, but it's a free update!" Not really. Many of us pay for fallout 1st, and many of those who don't at least pay for gamepass, which is paid to Bethesda's owner, Microsoft. It'd be nice to finally get something that felt *good.* "oh, but it's a minor, minor update!" So what? Why should we not care about the effort, or lack-thereof, that Bethesda puts into a game that some of us, myself included, have been loyal followers for years? "oh, but there're only a small team!" They're big enough to employ a "Head of Monetization" to teach them the Dark Arts of gambling mechanics and FOMO that they're not very subtly inserting into the game. "oh, stop complaining about a AAA game owned by one of the biggest gaming studios on the planet! Go and play another game if it's so terrible!" Nah. I've been playing this game for long enough to see the potential it has, but things like this don't get better if we all sit around quietly and subserviently slurping down the thin gruel they slop out occasionally. Jesus. You people.
