I actually prefer the minimalist approach to decorating this build. It definitely works since it makes the smaller rooms feel more open.

That's fair! I gravitate towards a cluttered/lived in look personally, but both can work. The trick is making it feel complete, whichever way you go!

love the build, my favourite thing about building is how the concept changes while building, partly by design partly by the game deciding what it will allow..lol does double skinning walls seriously batter the build budget, it's a shame if it does as it does allow so much more personalisation in looks, love your work, hope you do a video on more camp locations too..

Double the number of walls, double the budget cost unfortunately. They're not the most expensive things to build but it does add up. I'll probably do more locations videos at some point. I have a couple out already and the seem to go over pretty well! 😊

the brick wallpaper and the log walls strangely work really well together, im missing the wagons unfortunately, it would be good if that cranberry plant was a clean one for the relish

Mixed materials make for a decent combination. The basic wood set could go up top there and still look good too. There are a few spots around with the regular cranberries if they're needed. I don't tend to use them often now though as gourds are a pain to place and constantly having to craft relish is a bit of a drag. Ammo is bad enough! 😂

I love how wonky the building in fallout sometimes is. It makes you have to come up with solutions that makes building stuff all the more interesting and rewarding. (Though, also a bit frustrating at times!) Keep up the video's! You're awesome.

That's the challenge sadly. You can expand the budget in a custom world I believe, but unfortunately the camp won't come across to any other world.

Nice build! Can't wait for the log cabin set to come back to the Atomic Shop, i've been kicking myself for not picking it up last time. Of all your camp builds you've show on this channel, which would you say is your all-time favorite?

The log cabin set has come back a couple of times already so I don't imagine you'll have too long to wait. I don't think I could pic a single favourite tbh, there's a bunch I like. I built over by Point Pleasant about 18mths ago; that was a good build, I've been enjoying small scrappy shacks, like the one I built in the Mire recently and mobile home builds of various types have been fun. A few of the prefabs have been great recently too. 😎

Question you might be able to help, I want to leave one of my power armor on my power station as I have 2 sets, but my problem is it keeps recalling to my backpack. What am I doing wrong? One last thing love the build now I regret passing on a few build kits.

You'd need to use a Power Armour display if you wanted to leave it out, otherwise they will always jump back to your inventory. The display is a separate item that some versions of have come up on seasons in the past. They come up on the Atomic Shop too.

I have a question, you used Flamethrower trap for the roofs so u can fit the roofs, but i don't have the Flamethrower trap and can't find the plan anywhere. Is there any other way? I geniunely dont know what to do.

Well, I can't remember exactly what I did here, so I'm not sure if there's an alternative work around. If you need the flamethrower plan though it's a reward from one of the main quests. Whilst looking for a way to deal with the Scorched Plague the story takes you to The Mire. The plan is awarded on reaching your first stop there.

Do NOT build at this location unless you really don't mind having to repair your structures and re-plant your food daily. This is a very, very active zone and super mutants, scorched, bots and deathclaws will be visiting your camp once an hour. It is not a good spot for someone looking to relax once they return to their home.

Quick question the staircase you used for the interior was that from the log cabin bundle cause if it is I never received them when I got that bundle

That one came separately unfortunately. For some reason they don't seem to reskin these stairs often. The ones out there already came together on a season a while ago. It Mike be worth keeping an eye out for catch up bundles on the Atomic Shop though as they could appear in one of those, (if they haven't already).

Thanks! That particular fire has extra sections that snap to the top to extend it. I use those and the flamethrower trap to clip the last extension piece through the roof to make a chimney outside too.

@@DarthXionGames ah! That explains it. I have one with the wood mantle that you constantly have to activate (it never stays on when you leave the area). LOL! Wish we could get a lot of the pieces you use for decoration (my son and I just started playing a year and a half ago, so many of the plans are long gone, even from Bethesda Support). That fireplace is maddening like that. There's a bunch of stuff that's coming back around on the Atomic Shop at the moment. It's often worth keeping an eye on.

The fireplace was a scoreboard item last season. There are a couple of other ones that come up on the Atomic Shop from time to time too. They're a bit more likely to come back around in the short term than this one is, though it will probably hit the Atomic Shop eventually.

I wonder if PC has better lighting than Xbox. I play on Xbox and the daylight or many of the lights ruin the look of my buildings.

We might be able to push things a little further on PC but tbh many of the camp lighting options aren't perfect. For me a lot of the white lights are too clean and bright for a "camp". They work well in large open spaces especially kitchens, or medical/science spaces: places that you expect clean bright light, but not so much elsewhere imo. There are a number of more tungsten/orange coloured lights that are much homier and better suited to camps. The Cage Bulb lights that drop from Daily Ops, lanterns, and oil lampposts are some of my favourites. There are a few good fire based lights that put out a nice look too, (just not the fire barrel)!

If you've gone via their website they'll have your email via your Bethesda.net account. Keep an eye on it for updates; they don't keep the tickets open particularly long.

The windmill is the generator there. I wired that to connectors on the side and the back, and up by the roof. I usually try to keep the wires and connectors out of sight as much as possible, just to keep things tidy.
