Regarding heavy guns being the sole reason to run in power armor. Do not neglect the rifles who aren't silenced like laser. Plasma and railway rifle to name a few. Personally I run with a bloodied railway rifle with a plasma flamer on swap and both are extremely loud weapons that does not lend well to a sneaky playstyle. But the powerarmor protects me so much more than the secret service set i have underneath. Mainly for getting better result crafting and scrapping ( unyielding ) Next patch pa users can get poison resistance from legendary perks and I think we'll see more pa users then

Now that I've played with both, I can say in my experience that the T-65 is much more durable than SS, even with good legendary effects. When I'm in the T65, I almost never have to worry about dying. When in SS, I actually have to keep track of my health in combat. ...of course, I do much more damage in SS, so it really depends on what role you want to play.

I hear you man. I honestly can't stand time gated content. I can generate treasury notes faster than I can turn them in. I absolutely hate we are capped at 200 a day (and yes I know about the 300 we can buy per week) I just decided I want to pursue a set of secret service armor and it is daunting to think I'll be spending the next couple of months getting enough gold to get the armor and mods I want, let alone the rng of crafting good pieces.

T-65 is NEVER worth it. Well, unless you have bought everything else and want to throw some gold away. FInd a t-51b suit and use it instead. Only difference is a a bit more rads in blast zones. If you care that much about rads go for x-01. T-65 would be good if it had legendary effect, but a few more points of damage resistance make little difference. Save your gold for SS armor.

I have both the T65 and SS Unyielding and they took so long to grind for but its so worth it. I also have every other power armour in the game with every other mod which turned out to be really expensive just in caps and not bullion. Day to day play i use SS but for the harder enemies i like to jump in my T65. Great video as always 👍

If you use the legendary perk what rads and get it to like rank two, you should have about 500 rad resistance and with the rad regeneration it provides you should be able to stay in nuke zones

Finished my SS armour build last night and rolled my final 3 star vanguard piece. But I have 3 builds now SBQ/ Daily ops Heavy Armour build. Rifleman and my newest is the guass shotgun. Which has become my favourite, I can get it close to 1000 Damage now. Which seems good for a full health build.

The reason you die slower on a bloody build in power armor is emergencie protocol.that mod allone is the best reason on a bloody build heavy gunner to run power armor if your running a full health build or any other bloody build its best to use normal armor

I've found with SBQ, most drag it away from the nuke zone for the bloodied SS armor people to burn it down. Only hard part is Earle, you leave the cave into a nuke zone but I guess you could just fast travel out too. I'm a former HGB, working on shotguns and just finished Wastelanders so I have ways to go to get a full set of SS armor. Eventually I plan on respec to a stealth shotgun build.

I have a mixed match of regular armor. Max out Fireproof perk card and the scorch beast attack is almost not even noticeable. I tested this last night. Also I stood on a car and had a friend shoot it. When it exploded my HP never moved.

I have both and to be honest, I suggest to my friends and use mainly my secret service armour. The reason for this is that you loose all clothing and backpack perks when in pa. My damage and energy resistance is not horribly out of whack, however my rad resistance is greatly dimminished inarmour versus pa.

I really don't like the look of the Secret Service armor and T-65 Power Armor, so Secret Service wins for me, simply cause I can overwrite the armor with a outfit. Fashion > Meta So T-60 is still gonna be my favorite Power Armor, personally think it's the best looking PA set in 76.

You can certainly push your resistance significantly higher with secret service armor with maximum damage resistant perks mutations, full bolstering SS armor and armored backpack mod + sheilded SS under armor you are looking at 902,762, 390. That all sounds great but T-65 is still much better considering emergency protocol cuts all incoming damage in half, throwing blocker and ricochet onto makes you become incredibly tanky and you’ll never die from PVE enemies unless you are under 5% health. In SS armor with serendipity and 400 higher ballistic resistance to T-65 you can still be one shot by larger enemies such as fog crawlers and deathclaws. Fallout 76 damage reduction formula is arbitrarily logarithmic. So the difference between 50 and 250 armor is an order of magnitude greater than the difference between 250 and 500. Thats why its always been said to this day around 350-400 armor is all you really need. At 400 DR your damage reduction is 65%. At 900 damage resistance your reduction is only 80%, it’s 15% better but considering you have over double resistance you gained very little in return. While it’s impossible to ignore 100% of damage from armor alone the formula caps at around 91.98% damage reduction but you need an insane 2,755 Of armor.

Ok, I can tell you right off, the new microphone has an 1” diaphragm and Yeti I know doesn’t. You can hear the crispness and body of your voice. I use AKG’s C Series. Have since the late 80’s when I did studio work.

Thanks for all the input on armor choices and perk card combos to go with each one. What about guns? I've mainly been using X-01 and heavy guns lately, but am working on getting the SS armor. What weapons do you prefer with the SS armor? Rifles? Ballistic or energy? There are so many choices and possible perk cards to go with them, it gets confusing. BTW, the new mic sounds good. I do notice a bit of a whistle on your "s" sounds, though. You might be able to correct that in your settings. Congrats on getting your upgrades!

Generally I prefer ballistic - it performs better than energy. However, the Gauss Minigun is the best heavy gun in the game, and even though it's technically an energy weapon, it deals ballistic and explosive damage :). My main gun is then a gatling gun. Thanks so much Sally! Yeah I noticed the s sounds too. I'm going to try train my voice to not make those S sounds. I try not to post process as much, since it's a tad quicker for me to produce videos.

If you're using heavy guns I'd say just stick with your power armor because of the stabilized perk like what was mentioned in the video. You'll just get more mileage out of it. Ballistic heavy guns are nice, but don't sleep on a good gatling laser for one reason - you can get ammo for it REALLY easily as well as cores for your armor. Take over the poseidon power plant and just turn on the fusion core machine and it will crank out 3 cores roughly every 20 or 30 minutes. I tend to use a gatling laser for normal stuff and pull out my gauss minigun for scorchbeasts or if I fight the wendigo colossus.

Ok noob question as someone new to 76. Why in all videos are people running with so much of their health consumed by Radiation? Is it to keep a number of mutations? Because if you aren't melee I didn't see more than a couple mutations worth running vs just having the health. Again I am new aka a noob so I am assuming I am missing something here.

Yeah, power armor is fantastic for heavy gunners and the reason many love normal armor is because Unyielding is ridiculous. Not to mention the backpacks and legendaries. Also, sneaking is obviously ideal not in power armor lol. I'm looking forward to Funky Duds and Sizzling Style.

I’ll eventually get T-65 but I’ll stick to my T-51B or X-01. I think the benefits of the secret service is better short term over the long term benefits of T-65. That and Bethesda system of 200 Gold bullion per day. Not worth holding it for that long. I rather get all other items as they are far cheaper and more benefits overall with general gameplay.

The audio difference on the Mic is clearly heard and just sounds more clear and crisp... fantastic upgrade imo Quick question on the blue yeti, is it a Mic condenser Mic with a very small audio capture cone (can't think of the correct word atm, if anyone knows please feel free to add or correct me :) ) On the armour differences... I love the SS armour.... got a full unyielding set with deep pocketed and trying for +1 INT and weapon weight reduction or poison resist :p most pieces are with only 2 useful stars atm so I'll try and get them upgraded in time... And literally just bought my first 2 plans for the t65 :p but I really love my excavator simply because of the +200 carry weight xD
