Fallout 76: The Reason I Dont Use Follow Through.

Hello guys and girls and welcome to FoxyRaven-TV. So today i am going to show you why i am not using fallow through in my build, the perk card is actually not working at all.

I think it might be largely attributed to server lag. I find that if I take a shot at a target and then wait 2-3 seconds before shooting again; follow through kicks in and I get the bonus damage. In this video, I think you may have been killing the targets before Follow Through had a chance to kick in. Obviously, this means Follow through is only useful on tough bosses that are not going to die before the Perk can kick in. The video has inspired me to do some more tests of my own though.

@@masterobiwan3349 I had 0 server issues in this video, everything was working as it should. But if it takes a few seconds for follow through to kick in, then there is 0 reasons to use it, unless it works on bosses as you mention, but then again totally useless as you dont really kill bosses most of the time in fallout76, most enemies die within a second and some like mirelurk queen do take a few seconds to kill, tested it on mirelurk queens on several servers and follow through did not work. Another issue is that on bosses you are most likely to get detected "Danger" so it would not work anyways. Thats why follow through is a total useless perk card.

This isn't server lag. This is a variable in the formula being omitted. Server lag is like when the laser explosive pepper shaker "kills" but the enemy looks alive, then a couple seconds after, they turn to red dust. The effect is registering, but it's taking a while for the servers to show. The effect isn't registering here. Sucks either way. Lol

Thanks :) I will get better but its gonna take some time :) According to our institude of health care the virus that is around here in Denmark can take up to 2 month to get over o_O and i had an pneumonia on top of the virus so it aint funny any more xD

Follow through works if you shoot them once and wait a second before shooting them again, it's pretty useless against normal enemies because they die in 2 or 3 shots but it works for bigger enemies that take a lot of shots.

But why would you wait 2 seconds instead of just killing them in 1 second? 🙈 Mirelurk queen i can kill before the perk card kicks in 😆 Boss battles you will get spotted "danger" 99% of the time after this update, stealth is scuffed. Check my profile and then community then you can see how scuffed stealth is now.

I'll be honest, knowing Bethesda, I immediately jumped on the SPECIAL cards then I thought about Electric Absorption and the ones for defense against poison (I was evaluating those for fire and ammunition) all simple stuff that you can see immediately if it works as it should in the end, having more space in your builds is always useful

I used to run Follow Through on my stealth commando, you need to delay a second or two after your first shot hits for it to proc (it's dumb). In it's current state I would say VATS bow players are really the only ones who should run it since there is enough delay between shots

@@EdToddreDSO Didnt work on mirelurk queen, and she took a few seconds to kill, did it on several servers, just didnt record it, cant speak much thise days because of the sickness 🤷 But i trust you on this, it still makes the perk card totally useless, on bosses you are most likely to get spotted "Danger" so it wont work then, and all other enemies die faster than the perk card would work, so totally garbage perk card.

happy to see a new upload. thanks for the great info as always. i had no idea about Natural Resistance & Iron Stomach not working...it shows the resistance increase but it doesnt actually change?

@@BestFf14Player You are very welcome 🙂 Well the way they bug is actually you character in the way that AP wont regen at the rate it should and sometimes it just stops regeneration of you AP for several seconds, also they bug out other perk cards like Born Survivor so it wont kick in. The resistance it self should work though.

Those cards seem to work fine, the main bug is associated with Thirst Quencher causing AP to not regen. It is not bugged on all armor though, the main one I know the bug occurs on consistently is Civil Engineer, my Secret Service doesn't seem to have the issue.

@@FoxyRaven-TV I haven't experienced it on my SS armor yet, but it's possible some other perk card (or legendary armor effect) that I'm not running may be causing it for some people on their armors. I really want to try out the Civil Engineer armor but since it borks out and I run a high AP build, it's a no-go for now.

It does work but in ocasions, like fighting a boss with other people the lag makes it useless. If you're on a private server trying to solo a boss, then yes. But everyday adventure, you don't really need it.

They definitely did something with sneak. I'm getting caught left and right now on my commando build using the sneak 3 card and reduced sneak noise/detection chance on 2 pieces.

From what the Fallout Wiki says the Secret Agent’s legendary 3rd star for armour doesn’t stack. That means with the legendary effect for armour “+25%Less Noise While Sneaking +25%Reduced Detection Chance” having 2 pieces would be the same as 1

@@bladenfolland7286 Yeah that might actually be right, but then again they change things all the time and most Fallout76 wiki things are outdated. Thats why i test things on video to show what my testings shows, i do make mistakes though so sometimes i have to do a take two 🙂 But that legendary effect is one of the more complicated things to test.

@@helderjones4962 I have no clue, only the devs knows and even they dont know as its a bug on follow through that comes and goes with each major update, its one of the most bugged perk card. Also the 4 reworked perk cards will bug you character up make you not regen AP "happens more on bloodied builds". Next major update we get 20ish reworked perk cards and expect them to be bugged as hell.

It's fine atm. Been running it full time on my heavy/melee for over a year now and works well. I can see my numbers spiking up when perk kicks in. It seems to proc quicker than follow through, which has a severe delay.

@@NittanyNeo I like my AP more 🙈 I dont need crit savvy when running around killing enemies in the open they die to 1-3 shots anyways i switch perk cards for world boss fights 🙂 To me having 1/3 chance to get all AP back is better when running around.

@@KeijoKurkkuGaming Well its a bug that comes and goes after each major update, its one of the most bugged perk cards the Follow Through. Have you noticed that with gunfu you miss alot of shots when it switch targets? Thats why i dont use it 🙈
