This was really nice! I tried this layout yesterday and added a covered porch on the side. Putting all the workshop stuff downstairs means you can really make the living quarters upstairs feel homey. Great ideas!

I love making tiny homes! I'm always trying to tell my friends that they're the way to go to make a happy lived in space! I LOVE the use of the fencing inside the broken walls!! I always want to use the fence from the haunted house set and I have a hard time thinking how to do it but that's genius! I might have to use that! And finally thanks for the pro tip about removing the roof while using half walls, I usually use the carpet trick but that takes up budget which sucks, it does work though!

Build small, decorate a lot. It's the way to go! ☺️ Using rugs works, but apart from the budget thing you also end up with random rungs everywhere, which doesn't always look the best. Sometimes it's unavoidable, but if you can avoid it it's definitely the way to go. I do kinda miss the invisible rugs I has modded into FO4. They were life savers!

I've had that sign blueprinted for ages. Most of the time I haven't got the budget for it though. For what it is it takes up quite a lot of the bar!

A lot of its atomic shop stuff which is a mixed blessing... It costs, but it also comes back around. Seasons and recurring events are usually a good source for decoration items too.

Thanks! The floor is from the atomic shop. If I recall it's part of a log cabin or hunting lodge set. I can't remember which. I think it comes up on it's own too sometimes.

I love to use the destroyed cabin walls. But it's frustrating because people always ALWAYS come to my camp and repair them. You can't be mad about it though, because they think they're helping.

Fantastic build. The log cabin on stilts is a good look. The log cabin walls look great when they're broken. The crafting area was perfect for that space. A quick question to. How do you you get your recordings so smooth? I've been recording with the photo mode option because when I try to record walking around I can always see a slight shaky motion in the footage. Thanks for sharing the build.

Your builds never cease to amaze me. I could totally see my self living here if the fallout world was real. My camps are so bland and boring in comparison 😴. Question, have you or do you ever make builds for other people? I would most definitely play the game alot more if I had an awesome camp to return to after a hard days adventure in the wasteland.

Thanks!☺️ There's no really practical way for me to do builds for other people unfortunately. There are a whole load of limitations that would prevent that from working plus potential issues outside of the game too. That's one of the reasons I show the building process and have a few decoration guide videos too, rather than just doing tours; so that people can use the techniques themselves.

@@DarthXionGames That is really unfortunate as I and I'm sure others would even pay you to build their camps (caps or other in game stuff of course). It's strange that it's not a thing tho, cause I'm sure I've seen multiple people adding/moving things around in a camp before. Ahh well, maybe someday there will be a way to have someone as talented as you are help out us building scrubs have nice camps too!

You can build at other people's camps if you're on the same private team, there's limits to what you can do though. I've not tested it, but from what I understand atomic shop items and possibly even event and season items are not accessible outside of your own camp. There's other issues behind it too. Agreeing to build for other people would open quite the can of worms I suspect. I appreciate the sentiment though. ☺️

@@DarthXionGames it's still sad and depressing that it is not "built" into the game because not everyone out there playing is on your level and that's a fact. I'd almost be willing to start up a campaign to pay Bethesda to add in the function so that people like you that are amazing at building camps, can help people like me that totally suck at it. Anyway it's always a real treat to watch you build and they always come out amazing. You are by far the best I have personally seen in this game so far.

How do you get the chain fenced to be that close to the wall and connect to each other? Does not wanna work for me😭

I'm not sure if they're snapped or not. They're probably just manually placed. That's often easier now that you can toggle it. Otherwise it tends to come down to which way round the fence is and whether the thick post on the end is interacting with things. You should be able to push it into things pretty easily. Especially if you destroy them with the flamethrower trap first.

Hmm. The communist fences use chain link, though they're clean and have larger poles on the ends and barbed wire on top. You could also use the Encampment fences, though the style would be a bit more grungy/raderish. The chain link isn't strictly necessary though, apart from the visual it just stops you walking through the destroyed walls, something the furniture will do anyway.

I'm pretty sure that once the walls are broken you can just place the chain link in manually. You might need to switch off snapping to make life a bit easier but it should be simple enough.
