Fallout 76 | WHICH IS THE BEST ARMOR?!

Hey what's up guys in today's video I wanted to go over the various armor types currently available to us in Fallout 76. I will be going over the standard stats of each light armor, sturdy armor, and heavy armor variants. That way if you're new to the game or just genuinely curious about each type, you can compare and contrast to figure out which one would work better for your play style or personal character aesthetic. These are the base stats meaning the numbers are *not boosted by the addition of mods or perks*, I will be releasing a video going over all the mods for these armors at a later date, just didn’t want this one to be too long. With that being said, let’s get into it.

I think you should ask around to see if anyone has any that they would like featured in it, one I strongly suggest for a tanky build is a vampires, explosive, 25% faster rate of fire gatling plasma with the splitter muzzle

JerseysGhost the BOS mod no longer gives rad resistance as it did in FO4. In 76 it just an upgrade to polymer offering more durability, lighter weight, and much better energy resistance with BOS colors for 76.

you should also include the mod differences between the armors. like didnt raider armor have some special trait like that it was able to equip 15 carry capacity on each peace instead of 10 like on the others? and some armors dont even have deep pocket mods i think.

This was a really good video thanks but there is a big question you didn't answer that high end players will want to know. BOS paint improves combat armor drastically so.. heavy combat armor with BOS paint vs SS armor? Obviously the combat armor won't have radiation resistance but I think it might be close?

I wish we had an option to transform one legendary armor type into another armor type ( just for cosmetics, stats should stay the same ). I would love to have this option because my character literally has 5 pieces of the armor of different armor type on him and besides there are really good looking armor skins in the atom shop but due to not having the armor type I don't want to buy them.

For me armour needs damage reduction when staying still from players and unyielding effects. Plus one piece for invisibility.

If you can't get a hold of secret service armor, your best option is BoS heavy combat torso & 4 heavy metal limbs.

Azure The Hero I don’t believe any base armors have full set bonuses. Only the vault 94 sets. You might be referring to legendary only effects like you mentioned!

Best way to find out which Power Armor, Armor, and Underarmor is the best is to mix and match them to find out which Armors,Power Armor,and Underarmor will hold up in Fallout 76. By finding out which ones that will protect you the most of all 3 areas of protection like damage,radiation, and energy. If you need to know check your stats by using your Pipboy & Perk cards to find out. That's how I did it.

I'd say the best armors, if you get the mods for them to be the best they can be, would be Heavy Combat Armor, Heavy Leather, and Marine armor being the more balanced.

I want a full set of chameleon, if possible, but I have a bunch of things specific to enemy types like ghoul slayers so it’s not all bad I guess. I mainly like thorn for the effect it comes with. That mixed with all sneak perks and the fixer and I’m golden

For my raider character I'm still using a wooden vanguard right arm that's level 15 or something but far outshines any armour I could put on it instead because of the armour bonus it gives with high health.

As great as bolstering SS armor is at over 600 damage resistance it's paltry in PVP when alot of people buy that grossly over powered Titan forest scout armor set for 100 bucks. I have ran into so many people with it and it's straight up unfair as they take pretty much zero damage because if the 100% chance of reducing damage by 75%. Throw in serendipity and even a bloodied explosive Gatling plasma you hit them with 10s and 20s damage wise. Totally ridiculous the distance people go to.

After review of the wood armor various sites had the numbers off, I went and checked for myself and you’re absolutely right. I have placed the correct information in the pinned post and description.
