Hey what’s up guys? In today’s video I wanted to go over the stats of each power armor set available to us in Fallout 76 right now so that you could come to your own conclusions as to which you would prefer to use throughout your journey in the wasteland. This is an updated version of my previous “which power armor is the best” video which in hindsight had a few errors regarding stats and biased conclusions. So I decided to make sure the stats are up to date and corrected as well as simply sticking to the facts of each set rather than how I feel about using them. With that being said, let’s get into it!

Quick Idea since your video production is so good: Have you thought about making a video detailing all of the different PA skins available? That would be pretty cool to see all of them currently released and give players who like to use PAs a reference for when the different skins become available. Just an idea I thought I'd share.

Best combo is t-51b arms, t-60 helmet with x-01 chest, and excavator legs with the carry weight enhancement. I can have carry weight, and a jet pack and it looks pretty cool when you colour each one differently

I play on console, game elements on pc may be different. Just the other day a fallout buddy wanted the Excav PA legs for the carry bonus. Long story short, the whole set is required for the carry bonus. Fear not, the "Calibrated Shocks" mod does increase carry weight.

Great video! I am a heavy weapon power armor build and I use T-51b mainly due to the nostalgia it brings from Fallout 3. I also occasionally use Ultracite.

Plus I have that awesome Nuka Quantum paint job for it... and I saw one with a purple/UV headlight at Whitespring, which I absolutely must find. :-)

@@Minecraftstevelover Yeah, I used to carry a set of excavator just for this purpose, but the generosity of people with FO1st dropping stations like this at practivally every major event has saved me having to carry it. Instead I now carry weaker but light weightless armor (weighing 4.8 total for 3 pieces) that have massive weight/carry reductions on them instead of my chameleon/falling dmg/etc standsrds, then just switch to those when needed. Rare though, thanks to the drop camps.

I prefers Ultracite due to its high ballistic protection and decent radiation protection and I find energy protection unimportant seeing as few enemy’s use this as a attack, but the one thing that seals the deal is being able to put chest mods on other armor bits so I can have a jet pack and emergency protocals

I typically hate Power Armor. But when I do wear it, it's for Lucky Hole Mine runs, in which case, Excavator is the only choice; or for some combat situations in which T51 is my go to because it does have the highest ballistic and energy resistances of any power armor. When the new method for obtaining Strangler Heart PA is released, depending on what it is, I'll probably craft it. I refuse to get a duped set. But over all, my regular armor, mutations, perk cards and weapons provides more damage resistance than any of the Power Armors; and doesn't require cores to use.

I used to mainly use the T60 but due to finding Calibrated Shocks mods and being lucky with Flux drops I have all 3 of the T-series suits at my disposal. The thing that puts me off the X01 and Ultracite is the scaresity of mods/plans, how expensive they are when I find them for sale or the material requirements. If they were cheaper/easier to find and not so hard to construct I would use the Ultracite more often

Correction: The X-01 was made experimental by the US. The Enclave made X-02 and X-03. The X-01 was the first secret service armor. Until T-65. I personally wear X-01 because I’m a die hard Enclave fan, yet I am working on T-65 and strangler heart. Big fan of your videos! 😁🤙🏻

Due to me having every mutation I run around in excavator with 891 ballistic 727 energy resistance and 687 radiation resistance the reason my stuff is so high is because of my build and mutations along with my endless amounts consumables it’s broken to say the least

Given I have a friend who was a rad sponge and i have enough perks to made rads not a problem, I have two main sets i use. Evcav because that extra 210 weight buff is nice for everyday. raid(which i need to start before next big update) and SQB events i use T-51B. Just got my T-51B finally set up so ill start working on the t-60 next. Ultracite plans and mods are rare. and i think X-01 repair cost is up there with the T-51B.

Rad resist isn't that important seeing how you can just do a truck load of drugs. Every day I end up selling radaways and radx till the stores run out of caps, and there are some pretty easy scheme you can make which add tons of resistance.

I use excavator exclusively because of the carrying capacity plus both legs having calibrated shocks gives me an extra 200 capacity total.

@@AlphaOmegaSigma07 yes it's 200. The armor itself gives a bonus 100 if you wear the full set and having calibrated shocks on both legs gives 50 per leg. My carry weight out of armor is 240, in it it goes to 440.

Yea you get the plans from there! With Wastelanders once it releases you can buy the plans with the new currency, but that's all I'll say for now about that haha. I had someone put the paint on for me! I'll see if he still does it for caps and I'll connect you two! I have most of the paints except two

ShockerRadio Was it technical data you’ve actually collected out of file cabinets yourself? Or were they purchased or found elsewhere? More than likely you need to dump the data you have now and find fresh pieces. Although it is possible to turn in your data now, it seems it rarely spawns anymore.

No, though that one is cool it’s definitely a skin most likely. There’s a new kind of armor in wastelanders that Bethesda hasn’t shown yet. It could fit a raider theme just by the worn out look alone though it’s mostly miner based.

I sit around 610 ballistic and 580 energy resist without power armor and I get all the legendary effects of regular armor only downside is radiation resist buy I still get to use unarmed weapons so I'm more then willing for the trade off ... plus less chance of getting stuck in my power armor >_>

Excavator is best, it has the intrinsic +100 carry weight, add the leg mods of increase carry weight by 50 and in total you get +200 for packets like myself it's the best.

They shouldn't let you scrap power armor frames when they have pieces of armor on it .....I've played since day one when I got my ultracite power armor I didn't know it was the only one and I was going for XO-1 so I didn't care for it ....I accidentally scraped it while scrapping a few armors when I needed steel probably a year back ...Damm do I regret that cuz I'm lvl66 and don't feel like smashing through the the main story on another character I've solo launched enough nukes for a little bit

Power Armor has become a waste of time. With the bonuses that you get from normal legendary armour removed once you equip any power armor, why bother. You should be able to keep you normal armour bonuses why'll wearing power armor and get the bonuses from the powers armor too. As power armour bonuses are so minor compared to legendary armours.

Came from the Fallout Wiki itself, They must of been mistaken, either way The schematics for an earlier version of the armor was saved by the Enclave just before the bombs fell, with the organization keeping copies in the archives of their Poseidon and Whitesprings facilities. This allowed the Enclave a limited production of the suits

For heavy guns PA is mandatory due to the perk Stabilized.. Unless you are using Anti-Armor, but then you're obviously doing something wrong. Even if you insisted on using AA you'd lose out on accuracy as well. If you want a reason to use PA, build a bloodied heavy guns PA with emergency protocols or a Junkie's variant if you don't like the playstyle of bloodied.

Don't use power armor it's not needed except when mining ore for the bonus. Strangler is cancer crashes AMD computers. I do have a heavy gunner and when I play him (no often) he uses T51b for pvp and Xo1 for pve content.

Yea I hear if you use Strangler for queen fights on PC people tend to think you're a dick. On console It's not as bad I don't believe I've ever crashed from it.

I can't say I agree, On PC I know its bad, but as a PS4 user I've never crashed fighting the queen using it while others also used it.
