I will say, you may have missed it, at the party in the first episode when the guys are asking why Coop is working kids birthday parties they mention that he has to pay alimony so we're assuming that he and his wife were divorced or separated at that point Second guess about her is, well, keep watching

the opening scene of this episode, with Erik Estrada (from CHiPs), is very similar to that of the villain's introduction in the 1966 film "the good, the bad and the ugly". and from the VHS of the Vault 4 story we can hypothesize why the gulper seen in the series (very different from those encountered in Fallout 4) was so strange and died so easily, practically turned inside out like a sock, because he had been created artificially and very badly at that, starting from a human being crossed with who knows what, with fingers instead of teeth which presupposes he had an excessively large and slow digestive system, to swallow live prey and digest them in a large period of time, like a swimming version of the star wars sarlacc.

You say you do not trust our adorable overseer of vault 4 in regards to his history? (when talking about his family member being experimented on). Your reasoning is that have weird worship ritual. Hmmm….He played the tape showing what vault 4 was all about. He has an eye in the middle of his head, his fellow vault dwellers have noses on their foreheads, etc. You should feel sorry for them. They were abused. He also mentioned that he grew up in this vault while others were brought from the surface to have a normal life (not forced). He even mentioned that he did not understand nor cared for their rituals.

The thing is that in this world you can’t really trust anybody, or at least it seems. Looking at what happened afterwards, yeah they’re probably trustworthy and I fully agree with you. But it’s so hard to understand if someone is lying or not in this world

I love your reactions, this is a fun series to watch with you 👍 lol, the good news is you’re immortal… The bad news is you’re a ghoul. May take a minute but he’ll start looking like our favorite cowboy. From the games, players know that the Brotherhood of Steel tend to shoot ghouls on sight.

Ghouls are indestructible from the body but they can be killed with a simple headshot. So basically every part besides the head is very durable but not the head. So you just shoot ghouls in the head and not like the stomach chest or back. Just the head. Video game stuff 👱🏻👍🏼

I just wanted to mention in terms of the games, Fallout 4 likely has the best gameplay, but the story will likely confuse you more than clear things up for the TV series. FO4 is missing 2, arguably 3 major factions relevant to the TV series, and is far from the locations involved. It also focuses too much on goofy factions with goofy stories that are only briefly mentioned in other Fallout titles. I was actually really angry at the conclusion of FO4 because of how dumb it became, particularly because the set up was pretty darn good. I feel Fallout 1-3 are much better in terms of story and in covering the relevant backstories for the TV region of the Fallout world. "New Vegas" also plays a strong role in the factions surrounding the politics of the series, but once again, I didn't care for the story, and involves some goofy factions not relevant to other Fallout titles. While Fallout 1 and 2 have great stories, the gameplay, creatures and weapons changed significantly since then, but Shady Sands is one of the larger cities, and somewhat explains some of the cult stuff witnessed in vault 4 and the development of the New California Republic. Fallout 2 and 3 likely explain best what happened to the American government after the bombs. For the first 3 there's also something good for society you're trying to accomplish, but in the other titles, the mission is either really vague, overtly personal, or gets sidetracked by mostly nonsense. The idea of "bad vaults" didn't really exist until the 3rd game either, but bad stuff certainly happens in them. For the most part, the show is pretty accurate to the games, but Shady Sands was never supposed to be Los Angeles as is implied in this series, it was actually East and slightly South of San Fransisco, so It's actually pretty close to Fresno. While I am partial to the originals, as I played them when they came out so many decades ago, I feel Fallout 3 has the most personal, most endearing and most emotional story. Taking place in Washington DC, you leave your vault to find your Dad who has gone missing. In searching for him through the ruins of the US capital, you really get a sense of the world that was lost and the failures of the American dream.

I think the version of Moldaver in the future is a synthetic human but the version we see back in the pre-nuke world was the real woman. She was a scientist so she could have figured out a way to build such a thing. One thing you should watch for in the next episode is where Moldaver is headquartered. She has all this electronic equipment in an old bombed out observatory. There is a huge open ceiling where the rain would come in and destroy all their equipment.

Fallout games are great in many things, but nobody can suspect them to be any good at scenario/plot. XD It's quite linear and good at best if you are looking at it from above your playthrough, but there are so many things which are good in Fallout games (from lore to jokes) that they easily compensate simplistic plot with great excess. ) Fallout TV1 is like a quintessence of the Fallout universe. It has many things those games have BUT ALSO a great story, AT LAST! XDD You have no idea what nuke is waiting you in ep8 missy... ^__^ And okay, since it's an episode 7 already and you did not play (and likely will not ever play) Fallout 1,2 - some insight (no spoilers though!)... NCR was founded in Shady Sands which was a little settlement raided plenty (by raiders, surprise XD), Vault Dweller from V13 helped them a lot to defend selves and prosper, and in Fallout 2 it's the country alright, with government, currency, own army and other attributes of sovereignty. It continues to grow and expand, but Shady Sands is still the core of it. Remove it - the state will desintegrate self... You saw it yourself - Shady Sands was literally NUKED, with something 1-2 megaton-heavy, BUT that was done ~20 years ago. Wut? Who could nuke them so far away (219years, yes) from the Doomsday of 2077 if all the nuclear arsenal was supposedly used or eliminated? Damn, I envy you, you will have that discovery at ep8. ^^ As for the squire's magic heal, there is no strict semblance to any Fallout intel about in-world serums, but it's most likely superstimpack, mixed with FEV, which gives this lovely effect. XD What is FEV - just google "Fallout FEV" and in 2 minutes you have the full understanding of what it is, and how it affects the flesh. ) As for your Fallout playthrough - there are a lot of people who start straight from Fo4, which is sad cuz Fo4 is much less appealing than FoNV or even Fo3 because it's more about Happy Farm than world exploring, so much less fun and much more of excessive management. XD I'd start from Fo3, I guarantee you will have great experience with it, and it chronologically is the eldest, so it's only natural to start with it. Up to you to decide though, just saying. )
