nah in the actual ending 1 int vault dweller is too fucking stupid to understand that he just got kicked out permamently, and after the vault closes he realizes that he won't be able to touch things in the library and walks into the desert with his head tilted down due to sheer disapointment

@@TheKavuShowcanonically that's how the deathclaw came to be, the enclave had something called the FEV (forced evolutionary virus) that spread on the wasteland when the bombs fell. It mutates anything irradiated.

I always thought the residents of vault 101 in fallout 3 were dipshits. The protagonist had no fault of his father's decision to leave, nor the overseer's lack of common sense. And he even came back to help and got the "you are a hero, but you have to leave" because people still blame him for the decisions of his father.
