Before the Great War, Randall Dean Clark had served with the United States Army and had been one of the many unfortunate souls to have been deployed to annex Canada. While there he witnessed things that no one should have to see, entire families fighting, killing one another for food and soldiers executing those that refused to cooperate. When the killing was done and Canada had been successfully annexed, Clark was sent home, leaving the battlefield behind but also taking his atrocities with him, the nightmares of war forever embedded in his mind.
To escape these memories, Clark found himself wandering into the wilderness to hone his survival skills. For multiple days and sometimes even weeks, Clark would leave his family in Salt Lake City, his wife Charlotte, and his son Alex, who thanks to these frequent excursions would hardly ever see him. The husband and father who had left for the war had returned a stranger, but no matter how many times he would run off into the wilderness, to distract his troubled mind with survival, he always came home. And it was on that fateful day, October 23rd, 2077, as Clark was driving home from his latest bout of survival training, where the world was forever changed.

Randall Clarke is hands down of the best characters of Fallout. Without being a mutant or a ghoul or an extremist human, just being a real survivor. Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20 Revelation 6 1st Seal: White horse = Roman Empire conquering nations under Trajan 98-117 AD & Gospel spreading rapidly. 2nd Seal: Red horse, bloody civil wars with 32 different Emperors, most killed by the sword. 185-284 AD 3rd Seal: Black horse, economic despair from high taxes to pay for wars, farmers stopped growing. 200-250 AD 4th Seal: Pale horse, 1/4th of Romans died from famine, pestilence; at one point 5,000 dying per day. 250-300 AD 5th Seal: Diocletian persecuted Smyrna church era saints for ten years, blood crying out for vengeance. 303-312 AD 6th Seal: Political upheaval in the declining Roman Empire while the leaders battled each other. 313-395 AD Revelation 7 Sealing of 144,000, the saints, before trumpet war judgments, which led to the fall of the Roman Empire. Revelation 8 1st Trumpet: Alaric and the Goths attacked from the north, the path of hail, and set it on fire. 400-410 AD 2nd Trumpet: Genseric and the Vandals attacked the seas and coastlands, the blood of sailors in water. 425-470 AD 3rd Trumpet: Attila and the Huns scourged the Danube, Rhine & Po rivers area, dead bodies made water bitter. 451 AD 4th Trumpet: Odoacer and the Heruli caused the last Western Emperor (sun), Senate (moon) to lose power. 476 AD With the Western Roman Emperor (restrainer of 2 Thes. 2) removed; the son of perdition Popes took power. Revelation 9 Two woe judgments against the central 1/3rd and eastern 1/3rd of the Roman Empire. 612-1453 AD 5th Trumpet: Locust & scorpions point to Arabia, the rise of the Muslim army. Islam hides Gospel from Arabs. 612-762 AD 6th Trumpet: Turks released to attack Constantinople with large cannons (fire, smoke, brimstone). 1062-1453 AD Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes. Revelation 11 7th Trumpet: Martin Luther measured Roman Church; found that it’s an apostate church, not part of true temple. The two witnesses are the Scriptures and saints who proclaim the pure Gospel and testify against the antichrist Popes. Papal Church pronounced Christendom dead in 1514 AD. Silence for 3.5 years. Then Luther posted his 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the witnesses back to life. Millions of Catholics were saved. Revelation 12 Satan used the Roman Empire to try to wipe out the early Church, Satan was cast down as the Empire collapsed. Revelation 13 The antichrist beast Popes reigned in power 1,260 years, 538-1798, is the little horn of Daniel 7, son of perdition. The false prophet Jesuit Superior General rose to power from land (earth) of Vatican and has created many deceptions. Revelation 14 Points to great harvest during the Protestant Reformation & wrath on Catholic countries who obey antichrist Pope. Revelation 15 Overcoming saints victorious over the beast. Prelude to 7 vials and judgment on those who support Papal Rome. Revelation 16 1st Vial: The foul sore of atheism was poured out on Catholic France, leaving them with no hope, led to revolution. 2nd Vial: The French Revolution started in 1793, killed 250,000, as France had obeyed the Pope and killed saints. 3rd Vial: The French Revolution spread to rural areas of France, where Protestants had been killed in river areas. 4th Vial: The bloody Napoleonic wars shed the blood of countries who had revered and obeyed the antichrist Pope. 5th Vial: Judgment on the seat of the beast. Papal States invaded in 1798, Pope imprisoned, removed from power. 6th Vial: The Turks vast domain dried up, they were only left with Turkey. They lost control of Palestine in 1917 AD, Israel became a nation again in 1948

THIS is the movie fallout needs to make, THIS is a movie I would proudly watch over and over again. The amount of details, the emotional rollercoaster from what was. What could be, and what is just gives me goosebumps! I would 100% back it if they did a fundraiser to make this a movie. Hell, most of the movie could be an inner monolog of Clark's thoughts as he's writing in the computer or making the notes. Best part is even if the movie ended up be about 3 hours long people WILL watch it because this story is just that good. This "little" side story is more detailed and more emotionally immersive than any of the mainline quests from any fallout game. I'm not very interested in finding my father and then being forced to repair a purifier, I'm not interested in finding my son only for him to be part of an essentially evil shadow organization. I'm not interested in the events of fallout 1 and 2 either. I AM however interested in the mainline new vegas story and this one right here. I'm also interested in the story of "the burned man" as it also is great movie material. I'm not the only one thinking this right?

One of the few people in the fallout universe you can really say only did his best to help others. No ulterior motives, or self gain, man just wanted good people to survive and lead the best life they could in what was left of the world. There is an argument to be made that Randall Dean Clark is the only reason Zion still stands. Him dealing with the Vault 22 Refugees helped to prevent them from settling down, had they stayed, their spores may have spread through all of Zion. Destroying it and creating yet another dead and dangerous part of the Wasteland. Instead Zion stands as a paradise, a Tribe grew as a compassionate force instead of a violent one and the world was made ever so slightly brighter. I love The Survivalist, his story is so well written and so well executed. Edit: Finished the video, made me cry like his story always does. You did amazing on this dude. Exactly, more importantly, Daniel's a blind idealist. While he has good intentions, they are ultimately meaningless. Yes, they protect the Sorrows innocence, but at what price? And given time as the world heals, people will find them and he won't be around to save them. Everyone ultimately suffers by running away and last but not least, no matter what you choose, he ends up miserable. If he was more realistic in his ideals, he would find peace in the idea of standing their ground and fighting back. Of course, you should have Joshua show mercy in the end so that a good lesson can be learned.

- Revelation 3:20 Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state. “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.) Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.) Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894) The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed. The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

He is a lot better at reconnaissance than the other protagonists, keeping his distance (sometimes he did get too close as Synonymous said). He is excellent at stealth as a result, if he is slipping random stuff into camps in varying scenarios, he has become experienced at that. He does have good infiltration experience as well, most of that camp of "coughers" was guarded, but he found that one spot that wasn't. The man is also great at guerilla warfare, ambushing patrols of soldiers from time to time, the rigging of traps on their firearms and corpses for any other unsuspecting patrol that finds them, and he traps his own place due to the paranoia. Compared to the protagonists who normally runs into a lot of situations blind, guns blazing, now they of course win these engagements due to plot armor or shoddy ai, but the main character seem to lack actual military experience, all except the sole survivor but he's so fish out of water, that he wouldn't have survived if not for the minutemen and clueless settlers existing. If time wasn't an issue, I think the real trouble he'd have would have been the Lone Wanderer and Courier, they are both great at adapting to the nearby areas and one of them survived two shots to the head, recovered, and ran all the way to Vegas on foot to track down the guy who shot him. The other was able to take serious radiation damage before completely dying and swiftly changed with the new world that he stepped into. With the proper distance and understanding of how they go about their lives, he can exploit that and seeing as he would have the element of surprise, he'd probably take them out before they even realized anybody was there.

And, considering how I've rarely seen anyone sacrifice themselves for their ex partners (or for that matter, work towards another person's 'ultimate good') I can't say much for the other quote either. All things considered, I think those are quotes designed to make people feel better about themselves and our species, which is nice I suppose.

Unraveling this story was an actual expedition in archeology. Connecting dots out of sequence, checking dates, and taking notes in my little IRL notebook. I have never been so caught off guard and compelled by a hidden narrative and haven't been since, I had hoped we'd see stuff like this in "The Outer Worlds" but unfortunately that game went for more of a light-hearted tone. This is what fallout should strive for... we as players will make the silly moments stand out, give us the world that breaks people and show the exceptionalism in the people who refuse to break.

This was an absolute masterpiece and I love it. Also, "The father" watching over "The children of Zion", feels like it's just too exact to not be based on jeudao-christian stuff (Which also makes the comments about "the mexicans" thanking God a bit more on the nose after, all be it 30 years later, Clark ended up being like "god" to the children).

In the game, Daniel (the missionary) talks about the parallels between the Sorrow's religion of the Father in the Caves and what he tries to teach them from the Bible, saying that it's a blessing that they are better able to learn.

It definitely is a connection. The ironic moment of Clark scoffing at God emphasizes how just how much Clark would assume that god-like role. Especially because the death of the Mexicans is a parallel to the great war and how he, Clark had done what he scoffed at God for doing...allowing the deaths of the innocents he loved.

This story made me cover my mouth in horror, cheer for Clark's vengance, and cry (literally) at his losses. It's so charged with emotions that it almost feels real. Like Clark was a real person. It boggles my mind how this set of terminal entries are just a blip on the radar for most. Honest Hearts changed who I was when I played it the first time. And just like Clark, I can never go back.

I’ve never come across your content before this story, it just randomly popped up on my feed because I’ve started playing Fallout 3 again for the first time in years. This video is fantastic. Your story telling and ability to weave a tale are incredible. So often I am able to predict the flow and direction of fan fiction, but you kept me surprised over and over, leaving this story feeling so fresh and genuine. This immersive and heartfelt lore feels like canon
