Never made a mod before, so it's still surreal watching people play through this, especially since I've been watching your videos for ages. Thanks for checking it out!

Waiting for Larsen to say "The Ron!" This mod is looking pretty good. Got some great voiced characters, good integration into the lore. I like how your responses to that last conversation called you out for being totally oblivious to the message being conveyed. Well written 👏

@32:32 It is amazing how well thought out some of this mod is. She is referring to Oberland Station. 4 survivors = the 2 still at the settlement and the 2 you speak with here. The nearby vault from which the optimistic vault dweller came is Vault 81. The raiders are a bit of an issue, since they are supposed to be camped 'near the dam' to the southwest, but only feral ghouls (Forest Grove Marsh) and mirelurks (Weston Water Treatment Plant) are in the area. It would have made more sense for her to speak of Beantown Brewery (near the railroad bridge, not the dam), since that *is* a raider outpost, and it is located near Oberland Station. Well, there is also the minor issue that the new area is basically a diet / repeat of Goodneighbor, in that both areas claim to be where the outcasts of Diamond City end up. Again, it would make more sense if it was just another survivors' community in hiding - this one more successful than most - rather than a knock off of Goodneighbor. The mod author needed a connection with Nick, but that could just as easily have come from his earlier investigations of Skinny Malone causing him to find this site, or even that some people he formerly knew left Diamond City and somehow learned of the new location and moved there - afterwards telling him about it. There was no need to basically re-create the reasoning behind Goodneighbor, just underground and with a different style of cast. It is redundant, immersion breaking (for me), and the main reason I will probably never play this mod. But I am curious enough about its expansion of Nick's story to watch your play through of it.

@@Herrkfvran she said the raiders moved on though so don't think it couod have been beantown. And there's already the slog, so it makes sense some of the people came here too

@@ph0759 Good point regarding them moving on. Perhaps they were camped by the dam but have since left the area. People coming to the Sluice is not an issue. What I have most of an issue with is the mod-added lore regarding its creation soon after Goodneighbor (and possibly also regarding the founding of Quincy) contradicting in-game history or - at best - requiring extreme stretches of disbelief to kinda-sorta fit it into the canon history. I could pass it off as the mod-added NPCs being Unreliable Narrators if it was just one or maybe two NPCs giving the same counter-canon stories. However, even then it would cause me - playing a character in the game - to distrust the people in the settlement and so be less likely to assist with their quests, which would hamstring a lot of what is added by the mod, making it less worth adding to a play-through. It is just a peculiarity of mine, made worse by the fact that I can easily imagine a few small changes to the mod that would negate the entire issue. But because lines are voiced a simple patch mod cannot fix the issues.

@@Herrkfvran goodneighbor's like 40 years old, so I don't see a problem with the sluice coming after. but it sounds like it might have existed before that and it grew later. and i don't get what you mean about founding quincy??

@@Herrkfvrandon't get me wrong I don't try to be rude or something but I think, if you played the base game and "survived" Bethesda inconsistent stuff, you should be well trained in immersion breaker ignorance and disbelief overstretching story elements. The mod author mentioned it's their first mod above in the comments and I think your words aren't ment to discourage anyone, but I feel like you putting up a very high bar for a mod in a game that couldn't hold that bar to begin with.
