For the record, if you eat House, Caesar, Kimball and the King you get a perk called Meat of Champions that gives you +1 strength, charisma, intelligence and luck every time you eat a body. You could get an enclave quest by having arcade gannon as your companion, when you complete the quest your given the best power armour in the game. The thing you need to do to get the quest is to go to the repconn headquarters after you did that start wondering around the map when arcade talks to you about the NCR and the legion click on the opsion in the middle of the screen. When you get the quest you will have to get a pass phrase from members of the enclave, when you did that go inside the enclave bunker. If you want to convince the enclave to help with the battle of Hoover dam, you will need the speech skill up to eighty. At the end you will get the tesla and normal power armour from arcade gannon and a enclave pilot. You will not be able to have arcade gannon as an companion at the end of the quest

Kevin try turning off the auto saves all together and it might help you with your loading problem. Sometimes restarting it and clearing the auto save is just a band aid solution because it'll break again when it auto saves on you. You'll need to be mindful of the auto saves that will happen anyway, I'm not sure where they all are, but Pearl's house at the Boomers, the NCR Monorail, and Caesar's tent all force one on you. Hopefully that helps.
