Recently, Rugar came out with a handgun and CMMG a rifle/SBR version that's much more affordable, and other companies are starting to produce the bullets (like Sig Sauer) because the popularity is growing. The combination of this should bring the price down for both the rounds and the guns chambered in that round.

@glenngriffon80322 жыл бұрын
The aggressive discourse happens because of a number of factors. Such as ignorance, Americans tend to get this strange mindset that information and facts are somehow like a corrupting virus that infect you and corrupt you. So if you read about communism, you'll be infected by its influence. Same with socialism and others. It's the same with religion, people think that if you read about other faiths or you're exposed to other religions it'll somehow destroy a person's faith in God simply by virtue of being a different viewpoint. Indoctrination goes hand in uand with this. A lot of people are heavily indoctrinated by their faiths and especially so nowadays by their political parties. Just look at the average "own the libs" conservative in America. The people who took part in the Jan 6 attack. They legitimately believed that they were leading a revolution. They got sucked in by a con, indoctrinated to a single line of thought and were turned loose to force the government to overturn the election results. I feel linda bad for those people because they got pulled into this thing just like people get pulled into any cult. That doesn't mean i think they should be released with a slap on the wrist, they're all still fully responsible for their own behavior, I'm just saying that i feel bad for them being led to such a fate. Actually both the Democrats and Republicans have gotten to be pretty culty lately. And when you say that the two should work together more you detractors on both sides calling the other one evil, throwing around accusations as if the actions of some are the actions of all. Though it really doesn't help things when as soon as the poor and minorities got together and voted trump out the Republicans immediately went "okay, new rules!" to try and stop them voting again instead of... you know, being people that black communities like and want to vote for. Zach is absolutely right when he says that no political system will be perfect because it's made by flawed, imperfect humans and that carries over into all of our institutions. Personally I'm fine with being patriotic and loving your country but loving something doesn't mean overlooking the flaws, if anything it means highlighting the flaws so they can be fixed. I love America. I love my state of Texas. But i cannot look past the fact that wow we all have serious problems. I want Texas to be better than it is, better than it has been. America is not the greatest country in the world and hasn't been... well ever really. Oh it was a paradise if you were a middle class white man but for virtually everyone else it's never been great. If you really love a place then you have to acknowledge the cracks, the breaks, the corruption and the exploitation. If you just ignore those things then they'll only get worse.

Yes, all of this stuff was bad and we did it (there's also probably some stuff I forgot to mention), but if you let that dictate your mindset then you will be taken advantage of. People will come out of the woodwork and tell you "you owe me x, y, and z, you bigot!" even if you were not personally involved in any of the bad things that I mentioned. Nationalism is the only real countermeasure against that. Either you embrace it or your kids will be taught to hate themselves.

Petition to have a full series just about Zach seeing guns from different games and going into gun rants.

@@averagesteel9666 I absolutely love 44 magnum but I haven't heard about 44-40 what's that caliber all about
@averagesteel96664 жыл бұрын
@@anthony-ei3nj .44-40 Was the common cowboy caliber back in the mid to late 1800's, around 1860ish-1880ish. It never necessarily faded away, but the introduction of other brass cartridges squeezed it out of frame, .44-40 was actually used in the first repeaters if memory serves me right, like the Spencer Model, and the first Winchester Lever Actions.

@@averagesteel9666 Interesting ill have to try out that caliber myself before I give it my opinion

Faster burning powder typically results in a lower build of pressure, whereas a slower burning powder will accumulate greater pressure within the chamber.

The gun rants are easily my favorite part of this whole series. I've been getting into guns myself, partially as a result.

You two should really start a podcast. I know I’m not the only one who would really enjoy listening to you both talking about the modern world, politics, guns and whatever else but for an hour or more.

A glock? Why? Why would you want one in NV? Also, your videos are enjoyable to watch, especially with the stories about your military experiences, I’ve been trying to enlist and you’ve been providing some things that I will want to either look into or avoid. The anger management story has to be my favorite.

Java Monsoon I know, but from my personal experience with pistols, I never liked the Glock, I just didn’t. I liked the M9 and the Sig P226 better when I got a chance to shoot.

So, funny story. For my 22nd birthday party(3 years ago), I was forced to go to a strip club with a bunch of people from my work that I disliked (I also dislike strip clubs). My boss is, shall we say, "Patriotic". In the sense that anything and everything that America does, he is fully behind. Ended up getting into a discussion and eventual argument with him. I never engage in political argument, but alcohol played a large factor. Him and I debated for literal HOURS about American Democracy versus Socialism (What I generally advocate for). Strippers came and went, and we were just huddled up in the corner discussing constitutional legitimacy and the Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts by Karl Marx. Came into work the next day to find that he had actually bought a copy of the book. And two weeks later I got a promotion. Disclaimer: This experience is not the norm, I do not recommend engaging into political arguments with people from your workplace. It almost never turns out good. You have been warned.

Thank you, Zach, that was really interesting, and also I just like to listen to you telling stories or explaining stuff (and you too, Mike, it's actually really fun when people remember and compare their experiences with some subject). I have never heard of .40 S&W. I'm not a gun nut, but because of the games and internet in general I still at least hear or read things about them anyway, Fallout games included, especially Fallout Tactics, which really wanted to include many real guns. And I just think Zach is a great story-teller with a nice voice. Not in a "literature" sense, it's just a guy that's really cool to listen to.
