I feared I couldn't bare to watch a long playthrough of F:NV since I've played it through four times already, and watched one Let's Play. But the way you're taking out the unnecessary walks while still recording all the time is going to be just perfect. And an unarmed character! Haven't tried those personally, since I love firearms in this game too much, but will be interesting to see how it plays out. :)

Glad too see more videos on your channel. I liked the detail on build information that was in your ME2 videos and hope to see more like that here. One tip I have for a starting character that i don't see listed much is to kill the NPC who tells you about star bottle caps. He's wearing +10 barter clothes.

Great to see more vids from you gatsby...loved all the ME2 ones. Lookin forward to more fallout videos soon. My fav character to play in F3 was unarmed so I can't wait to see how it is in new vegas.

Unarmed is probably my favorite way to play Fallout games. 3 was great but New Vegas took the skill much farther and I was so grateful for that. I will say however that I absolutely love Hardcore mode. It really does make the game feel a good bit more "realistic" in that sense that I must keep myself alive even outside of combat. Speech really is a must for extra dialog and such. I tend to play as a female so I have something to look at while I run around the wastes stomping people into mud. :D

I love it when people play as unarmed and melee characters. It keeps the Fallout fan base interesting.

I like this video it got me interested in fallout new vegas. Personally I am a min/max person. I also enjoyed your ME2 videos and expect more videos when ME3 drops.

I might come back to NV and do a build like yours, favoring the Legion. I just finished an energy weapons/speech build-very long game. Then, I finished a pacifist run on very hard-only took two hours, with no glitches, stims, or companions. It's kind of cool that the quests are structured that way.

@87Julius I like the extra 20 health/poison/rad resist from 1 endurance more than 1% more chance to crit. 4 Perception is do able but you run the risk of running into enemies shooting at you before you can even detect them on your compass. Also, a really good perception based perk for unarmed, Better Criticals, requires 6 perception. If anything, I could sacrifice 2 points of strength and put that into luck, but then I would have to take Weapon Handling and there is a lot of competition at 16.

@FenrPrkl Audio is coming back. I think it was the fact I included the game's intro cutscene before. It wasn't even bethseda that claimed it, it was some random company. All's good now.

I'd switch Wild Wasteland to Small Frame & knock Endurance down by one (since you're not planning on boosting Intelligence). That's two extra SPECIAL points for you!

@mattcoops82 It basically depends on how early you plan on getting the ballistic fist. I'll make a video about crits and weapons very soon.

I maxed every skill except barter and explosives which were still pretty high. Much of what you say might be true but not getting high intelligence is stupid (no pun intended). Skill books with comprehension and the educated perks were ofc a must to make that happen. As were dlc's

fuuck! i love your videos! taught me how to do adept on insanity and now unarmed on fallout new vegas.

I made an unarmed character for my first Very Hard playthrough on Fallout 3. It was hard to start out but by about level 8, I could kill most enemies in 2 or 3 hits, take huge amounts of damage (which i could heal with a couple of Stimpaks) and a base DR of 70
@ThatAverageGatsby14 жыл бұрын
@bogart99 it runs well so far, but if by fixed you mean no more bugs, no. It was really bugged at release, now its down to fallout 3 levels. Obsidian has actually made an effort to patch the game, unlike Bethseda so more fixes might be coming. Performance wise it could still be better on PC. There's a performance fix mod you should look into if you have it for PC.

i'm not sure if you've figured this out yet or if someone's commented but, for every point in ST increases your unarmed skill by 0.5

@sta697 Ninja is currently bugged in that it gives you almost no bonus critical chance. If it was not bugged I would definitely get it. I'm debating whether or not to get it right now.

@ThatAverageGatsby yeah i just find out myself but it says theres a workaround for pc in the wikia.anyway if you dont get the patch its not worth the skill points and the perk spot.

I find Comprehension to be a better choice then Educated. with Comp you can raise any skill by 20 points, which allows you to raise skills like lockpicking/science to 80 and use the according magazine to raise it to 100 if need be, at least that what i do on all my characters. i always have low int, and with comp i'm able to maxout my most important skills like your weapon skill, sneak and survival or medicine. comprehension is my pick for 2012 lol

Hey i'm thinking of trying an unarmed character in the min/max style.. but I read someplace that heavy handed is a better choice for the ballistic fist since it doesn't rely on crits to do dmg? is built to destroy/crit build really superior?

And I still have to add that my only gripe was the lack of ingame audio, but guess that was duo to the copy-right stuff you mentioned. Does this mean the following videos don't have it either or are you able to include them in?

Cool one bro, NV is times better than the piece of shit that was F3 (trollface) I haven't played it extensively, but quick reasoning says that you should have gone with 8 endurance - there's no reason to get the Charisma implant if you're going to go with 1. Also not sure if Perception is useful at all for a melee char, maybe lower it to 4, then take those two points into Luck or something
