Walton Goggin’s genuine passion for the Fallout world is so clear and contagious, such a perfect choice for this series 👍

It’s awesome how instant hearing his passion for the world related to me as well as probably so many others. Fallout is so genuinely crafted from lore to its delivery and it’s great that the public are now able to consume it in this damn near perfect TV adaptation.

I kinda hope he never plays the games and just develops his own head canon for how the fallout universe should progress for his little slice of it.

I think they played “my echo, my shadow, and me” at the end for a reason. The 3 characters all seem to reflect each other that way.

def felt like a nod of the ghoul and lucy for me but a great point in adding max to the equation as well.

When the song came on I immediately started theorizing who is who, and my immediate thought is still max is the echo, the ghoul is the shadow, and then Lucy is "me"

Walton Goggins talks about this stuff as if were real. He talks about going on an adventure, and living in the past, as though these were part of his existence, not a role being played. I find this very interesting.

Great cast. Loved it all. They managed to nail the "video game" aspect of it by having Lucy be the surrogate player character. But then they fleshed out the world and factions with other equally compelling characters. Simply brilliant. Not too surprising cause Jonathan Nolan is a great writer.
@sewpungyow51548 ай бұрын
Coop's characterization was very interesting. He was definitely brutal and ruthless, but he wasn't a sadist and he had limits. He also had a very interesting way of waiting for someone to try and attack him first before attacking them. I am still not sure if it's because he still has some sort of moral code and is a good judge of character, or because he's just that arrogant. But he does consistently have certain limits to how brutal he will get.
@doublefeature8 ай бұрын
i def think we will most likely see his character get pushed to the limits later on in seasons as well. maybe i'm wrong tho, could go the completely other way with Lucy making him even more moral. they will def imprint on each other, i believe.
@Navajonkee8 ай бұрын
He's also a ghoul, so he's significantly more resilient than a "smoothskin". Makes it easier to wait for the other to attack you if you know you're much better at eating a shot.

Never played the games, loved this show after episode 2. Don't want to do any SPOILERS, but I have a theory how the Ghoul survived 212 years... has something to maybe do with where Lucy's brother ended up in the end of season one?
@reduande4 ай бұрын
No. Ghouls in Fallout are irradiated people. Their cancer cells give them resistance to rads. Increased cell regeneration. That leads to increased lifespan. But are infertile. Aside other, less good side effects. In a time turn feral. Become pack hunters attacking and eating other people.

At least not where the show is set. The NCR seemed to have fallen, and the show hints at an apparent power-vacuum that no faction could really fill at this point. The BoS is greatly diminished, we can assume similar of the Enclave, and we have no information about the Legion moving deep into California.
