Before SOA, I had never really seen a transgender person or someone in drag portrayed in a movie or TV show without them being some sort of a joke or caricature. Venus Van Dam was the first one I witnessed in media that was actually portrayed with real depth to them. Walton Goggins has always been amazing but that role made his talent "unforgettable" in my mind.
