She is, great body language. And also adorable. You just want to tussle her hair.

I can't say enough about how they captured the look, feel and pitch-dark humor of the videogames with this show. 9.5/10. Best set design since Star Wars: Andor, too. edit: The guy who died from doll-leg murder was shot with a "Junk Jet" or "Rock-it Launcher", weapons from the games that use random pieces of garbage and debris as ammo.

The Pipboy device on vault dwellers' wrists are assigned to their respective vaults, allowing them to open it.

This show is incredible and you don’t need to know anything about the games to watch it. Can’t wait for you to really get into it.

I've been really enjoying reactions from people who didn't play the games. It's such an interesting world. Trying to piece it all together was always my favorite part of the games and now more people can enjoy it in a brand new way. It makes my nerdy lil heart jump for joy😂

I thought I was done watching Fallout reactions, but I love your funny little quips and you seem to be the least squeamish reactors too. "You thought Timberlands was heavy." HAHAHAHA

Now you are young, to those of us growing up during The Cold War that intro is what we feared would happen- every day. But we lived our lives. When I teach my The History of The Cold War classes, I always start by showing them a five minute video of nuclear explosions with eerie music, to make your generation understand what it all was- and what you will have to get used to again with Putoloni's sabre-rattling (though he is too much of a coward to do it). During the Cold War, the USSR was planning to open the war by dropping 600+ merely on my little Denmark. The game is set in an alternative timeline, where the transistor was never invented, so everything used vacuum-tubes like early computers. And thus the timeline starts diverging from ours in the year after WW2, and progress is generally much slower. But there is also no Cuban Missile Crisis, Long Island, etc, and no reckoning with its past, so the US carries on in a sort of Truman-Eisenhower Superamerica with nuclear powered cars, etc. But in the 21st century fossil fuels and other resources starts running out, and The Resource Wars starts; where Europe, Africa and The Middle East is torn apart, and China invades Alaska to get the last remaining oil resource on the planet. And in 2077... Boom. And oh yea, the US turns authoritarian semi-Fascist, a bit like Starship Troopers. Anyway, think of the game and series as set in a sort of retro-futuristic post apocalypse, IE a future as imagined in the fifties, but then add a nuclear exchange of superpowers. In the games you find all those tragic and dark stories as you explore the Wasteland, the series show them, but both do a very good job of what good SciFi should; holding up a dark mirror to humanity- and with Fallout it is really dark.

I’m pretty sure they have dry cleaning in the year 2200, but that curtain is gonna need steam cleaning and antibiotics. 13:53 I heard that the nuns at Catholic School were rough, but don’t they hit you on the knuckles with wooden rulers?

Yes, they were 100% referring to "I Love Lucy" & "The Full Monty."

Some important stuff that is common knowledge in the games but the show doesn't explain well: -The world before the bombs was an alternate timeline from ours, diverging after WW2. It was much more advanced in some areas and less advanced in others. Culturally they are stuck in the mid 20th century, though as you can see things like race relations are more progressive. The whole pre war setting is basically a 1950s vision of what the future would look like. -The bombs fell in 2077 after 10 years of war between the US and China over the last oil and uranium, much of the world had already collapsed by that point due to resource shortages and a smaller nuclear war between the middle east and Europe. -The "Enclave" is a secret cabal many top Government, Military and Corporate leaders that had been controlling the US before the end and have been trying to remake the new world in their image. They one of the most evil factions in the wasteland but luckily by the time of the show they aren't what they used to be after several major defeats (fallout 2 and 3). -The "Brotherhood of steel" was formed from remnants of the US army. Their main goals are preventing another apocalypse caused by irresponsible use of technology, they are generally neutral and only focused on their own goals but they have been known to be helpful (protecting the wasteland from dangerous threats like mutants and the enclave), or harmful (forcibly taking technology they deem dangerous or eliminating those they deem a threat to mainstream humanity like ghouls or synthetics) -Ghouls are a sort of mutant due to too much radiation. They do not age and are immune to disease and radiation, but are sterile and will eventually lose their minds and become "feral". As a result of that and their appearance they are often persecuted by regular humans.
