Problem with making babies. The child comes out at 50% happiness... potentially offsetting the gain in overall vault dweller happiness.

Stick the new dweller(Baby) in a room, the level quickly grows to 75%. Its not 100 but its better than 50.

If you have someone who is unhappy, DO NOT GIVE THEM THE HAPPINESS PET! Find the person who has a higher happiness rating and give THAT smiling person the happiness pet. At the same time put the grumpy person in the room with them and watch ALL the happiness levels rise to a rate where they can leave the room happier than when they entered. Kind of like a Group Therapy thing with a Service Animal. This is something fairly important.

What I do is put “lucky clothes” (Like formal wear) on my dwellers before I rush so I have a very high chance to have a successful rush.

Doesn't that offset the bonus you get from wearing the "right" clothes for the room. Is +3 luck better than +3 Strength in a power room? Oh, guess I'll have to try it now that I'm playing again on the PS4.

The amt. of (say strength in a power room) only affects how much time it takes to get something finished. For example, if I have a dweller with 5 strength in a power room then he might make the time it creates to make power go down a little, but if I just rush the room with lucky clothes, then then time doesn't matter at all. And besides, right after the rush I equip them with their old clothes.

I'd challenge that and say you're wrong... I had to test today before though. :-) With dwellers that has S1 I have a 30% chance no matter how long I wait for Cool off... With them up at 10 I get that down to about 20%... with luck AS WELL it goes down to 10. So if I change out S3 for L3 it doesn't matter as far as I've seen, unless I go beyond S10 with S-clothes. +1S or +1L basically gives the same effect, just as I remember it. More luck does give more money though.

Thanks so much! Sadly, rooms can not be moved around. You'll need to to destroy and rebuild to build your ideal layout. My layout still needs some work as well. :p

Something that you may want to add to this video, if you can edit it after you've posted it... When you rush a room, it is a 10% increase over 60 seconds. However, if you move the dweller from the room, the increase stops. You will not get the full 10% bonus to happiness. Therefore, if you do use the rush method, make sure the time has elapsed before you move people around. If you have room in your vault, and you have 6 or fewer dwellers that need a boost, make a 3-room power room (no upgrades). 1st - power rooms don't use power, whereas any other room will use your power resource. 2nd - they are very inexpensive rooms (and you're going to be destroying it when you're done). 3rd - 3 room so you can move as many as 6 dwellers in for happiness boost. Move the dwellers into the room and rush it. If you need to, make sure they have STR items on to help boost your chance. Since 10% is the lowest chance, you know you're fine if that is the % chance on the rush. Once you rush, let them gain the 10%. Then move them back to the rooms they came from and destroy the power room. If you'd like to do it again, make another 3 room power room and move them to that, destroy the old one, and rush again. This way the % chance of failure is still low. Unless you are jonesing for 100% happiness (not necessary as no additional bonus is give if you hit 100%), 2 rushes should get your dweller to 95%. All dwellers, put in a room that matches their SPECIAL, will go to 75% naturally. 2 rushes gains 20%, so 95% happiness.

I used the baby making method to boost happiness, but I found that if she becomes pregnant and has a child, the child starts off with a 50% happiness level, which brings down the overall happiness of the vault dwellers

I have a dweller stuck at 10% happiness, but I can't evict him because he's my highest level at 17, he uses my only Merc gear, my legendary gun and damage boosting pet, and he's the only one who qualifies for the overseer quests. I've let him work, get laid, take breaks, and listen to the radio. Nothing works, so I'm currently finishing the last quest to get bottle and cappg to see if it fixes him. Maybe it's just a bug

at first, i had two radio rooms (max stat +C dwellers), one aimed inside and one outside. my vault happiness never dropped below 93% even with quite a few 10% crybabies. i turned both radios inside and now i dont drop below 97%

Thanks mate. Is there a way to correctly manage dwellers doing nothing? Often I see people on a "coffee break" and I'm not sure if they're doing nothing, or if they really are on a break lol.

"Coffee Break" essentially means that they're idle and don't have any task to complete. A good way to identify all idle dwellers is to sort by job in the dweller log(accessed through the cog icon). All of the coffee break dwellers will be grouped together in the list. :)

Yeah, dwellers with 15 C seem to make babies in less than a minute. Checking back every 3 hours the baby factory runs like a well-oiled machine.

King Gaming Try leaving her in a resource room that corresponds with her highest special stat. Be sure to rush the progress of the room until the chance of failure goes over 30%. This should do the trick.

How long does it take for a dweller that died to get his/her happiness back in shape? Because a dweller of mine died on a quest because he was instantly killed by a glowing rad scorpion even though he had maxed endurance,was over level 40,and he had near full health when it happened and it was rather annoying when that happened.

Nope, the bottom half of my vault is particularly in need of a re-design. I have too many storage rooms and empty living quarters bunched together. The design needs to have some occupied rooms mixed in with the empty ones. This would drastically cut down on incident duration.
