Hello every Overseeing bodayy! This time you're not a wastelander, you're an Overseer, with a capital "O". Watch as I plow through this entire game and show you all of the best secrets, tips, and tricks in the game. I should know because I've already driven two vaults all the way to 200 dwellers. And I managed to drive even more straight into the ground. (Bad pun) Enjoy this first part, and there will be a total of TEN videos in this strategy guide, so let's grow our vault to 200 dwellers together!

Here are my three tips in this first video, along with the minutes/seconds pointers where they appear:
10:10 - Tip #1: Build your first three rooms on the second level of your new vault.
10:49 - Tip #2: Don't block your first Power Generator. Keep it open so you can expand it.

Ive installed Fallout for than 5 times and still, I get bored and didnt know what to do. Its like, I always reached a certain point of level where, no matter how many Rush on Electric room, I always get lack of electricity. I even built more Electric room, but still, the gauge only gets larger but the amount I get didnt made any difference when I only had one electric room... So then, I got bored... 🤦

Why not build an elevator and make a third level, so you can immediately build expandable Diner/Water Treatment/Medical facilities? That way when you get that high intelligence dweller, you can stick him in medical and start making stimpaks right away in order to heal your dwellers? Given how long it takes to get weapons to fight off radroaches and raiders (the first things you have to deal with in a low level vault), getting those stimpaks as soon as possible is important.

You will get Mr handy robots later on and they can be destroyed by raiders,ghouls and claws and the robots cost 2000 to repair and cannot be healed so you could try to save the top role for a training room and have the training dwellers deal with the attacking raiders and keep them out of your resource room, Mr handy collect all resources in a straight line from right to left, or left to right and this means if you want max performance out of him you need to keep the resource room going all the way right to left and it can be different kind of rooms or the same and you have to remember the theme require three rooms of the same type upgraded side by side. Themes allow you to change the look of a room, three of the same type of room merge together and you can reroute invaders somewhat by placing elevators two down then moving them to the opposite side and some types of raiders only go down to the level below them and then the next and this means if they reach a dead end they will go all the way back through the rooms they just left and placing the elevator down the center makes it easier to alter and switch out rooms for much less caps, less deleting of rooms but has some defensive disadvantages and you could reduce this by putting them on the center and on a end and elevators also cost power like all the rooms and dwellers and early training helps reduce the number of dwellers you need to man the resource room leaving more free for stat training. A dwellers with 5 Str is the = of 5 1 str dwellers in a power room and reduces the amount of time to produce the resources and the storage houses are not used to store rad away and stims, just everything else ,the labs do the storing. I put my elevators on the end walls. I started off going strait down after reaching a wall and then filling in the other side of the room later. Just remember what each locked room is for, three of them are for armor crafting ,weapons crafting and themes and the last unlock is for water and food resources. The rest are upgrades or for a stat and theirs one for each stat other then the barber that is used for hair and later turning any black dwellers you want to keep into ghouls to make them look more attractive. I kicked all mine out but the one i am considering keeping for a ghoul transformation.

You CAN upgrade the SPECIAL stats of each dweller. You can do this by unlocking and using rooms that upgrade each SPECIAL stats. You can get those after you unlocked the Overseer's Office and the Radio Station. The unlocking just really depends on population, so you might get it sooner than expected.

Just keep going even if they are sad and missing food and water. At the start of the game I was like that too but I just ignored their needs and kept pushing till I balanced everything.

Its gonna be like that. Upgrade the rooms you have, or build more. Also make sure you have your dwellers situated correctly. Some arent good in water treatment, but great in the dinner.

First and foremost, loved how you did the intro to the vod, lmao. Two, thanks for the tips. Not new to fallout shelter really and came here mainly for the room placements. I think I may have OCD or so, always had trouble placing the rooms in places that it doesn't seem off but also efficient. Within your vod, though it isn't as efficient and the game has had bits of changes since this vod came out prolly, I did find your room placement and the reason behind it to be reasonable and actually neat. I think in my next playthrough I'll follow this vods room placements. It may not be as efficient than what I had been doing but in the long run, I think it'll be alright and feel more like home. As is, been restarting games cause they were unsatisfying, one reason is prolly my room placements.
