Was so afraid they would screw it up, but they didn't. We could nitpick a few things (but acknowledge that future seasons may contain other elements of the game), but they gave just enough fan service to keep the gamers happy and made a complex and compelling story for everyone, whether they knew the game or not.

People unfamiliar with the universe don't understand how bad they could have fucked this up by leaning hard into every devisive topic in today's society at full discretion from the fallout's wierd universe alone. Amazon learned some good lessons from Lord of the Rings it seems. It took me a long time to decide if the Ghoul is a good or a bad guy, a hero or a villain. Perfect Fallout character writing! I liked Lucy a lot as well, mostly because she is not a boss girl and instead finaly a female lead with actual character development, but the Ghoul was just too badass and fun to not take the number one spot. Can't wait for season 2 and them traveling together. He is a rough teacher, but the teacher Lucy needs. Meanwhile he needs Lucy and Dogmeat to not be a villain.

Rotface was supposed to have an entire quest based around him with multiple endings, and even then wasn't a joke and would actually give you good advice. Lumpy is the ONE joke ghoul in Fallout 2. Eric is literally rotting apart, which is why he asks you to fix his AC so the damn flies won't eat his body, that's hardly a joke. Snowflake used to be a stylist in Rivet City til he was treated like shit on run off and took up residence in Necropolis. Oh, and Moira? You can treat her like shit when she ghoulifies and it breaks her. Speaking of Necropolis, would you say all those ghouls are just a bunch of joke characters? Most of the comedic stuff about the ghouls is directly caused by the player treating them like shit.

First time i watched it, i thought by "good vaults", it meant a fancy vault with high end food like livestock and automated bots. Then i realized she meant one that aren't being sold as a personalized lab test kit for big corporations. Barb might be ruthless, but you can't say she never loved Coop

I absolutely love the Cowboy Western theme mixed with the post apocalyptic scifi setting. It's a brilliant combination of 2 genres made possible because of the great writing behind characters like The Ghoul.

Would love to see In season 2 how he survived before he became The Ghoul and what made him become that way. I kind of don’t understand why some turn and others don’t . But anyway , his story for those 200 years needs to be told !!!!

The medicine he drinks makes him stay on the “human” side and not turn. In that scene with the president they talk about it and the ghoul said, I was always good at making money, meaning he could always afford the medicine

After watching the whole thing, his reaction to the bombs being dropped in ep1 is so much more powerful. When you first watch it, you think its solely shock from the bombs being dropped and panic on what to do with his daughter, however, come full-circle there has to got to be a huge element of heartbreak in there too. He is realising what his wife wife/ex-wife said was actually happening, and he knows she was the one to orchestrate it.

It would be a hell of a twist if the ghoul ended up running vault 13. If I can remember right it was ran by a ghoul and was cleared out by the enclave, who filled it with highly intelligent deathclaws.

Most likely, the Enclave did this, and Vault-Tech is just a contractor or figurehead. The council scene shows a man in the shadows, and it can only be a man from the Enclave.
