@@nocomment6421amen. And you know what, they still managed to keep a diverse cast but the trick they figured out was they made the characters compelling! And the actors were phenomenal! Lucy and Maximus’s actors have got big big futures ahead of them!

One of the best moments of the entire series in the best episode of the season. Both Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins bring it hard acting wise here. This should the screener that goes out come award time for Purnell, Goggins and the show as a whole.

I think Goosy was ready to become a weapon against her father either way....Before The Ghoul shot him I thought she would turn Hanks own words against him as in, "You stopped being my father when you said you killed my mother"....But the team up was worth me being wrong in my own opinion....lol😂

I’m upset I only noticed this on the third watch through of this scene, but y’all, he’s not using the accent. Prewar Cooper doesn’t have a country accent, current Cooper has a thick southern drawl reminiscent of his days long past spent as cowboy actor. He plays a part, and you know it’s on when he fires up that southern drawl and country slang. This scene is so important, because he doesn’t use it. Why doesn’t he use it? Lucy saved his life with the chems, and she showed him kindness when it had probably been a hell of a long time since he’d seen any. He doesn’t put on the accent for a reason. I’m curious to see how deliberate this was on the part of the script. I think it’s indicative of Cooper playing the amoral killer cowboy vs. Cooper being what he really is. Jaded, self hateful, but still in there.

Walton Goggins said in an interview that he changed how the Ghoul talked in this scene on purpose. The Ghoul sees himself in Lucy just like he said, but now he also sees her as a person and someone who has suffered the same betrayal that he suffered. He doesn't need to put up a facade anymore and is now opening up to Lucy because they understand one another in a way no one else does.

While I wasn't surprised she didn't shoot him - like, c'mon, he's only alive because of her, why would she do it now - I absolutely wasn't expecting Lucy to follow the Ghoul on companion quest. Can't wait to see how this comedy duo works out in season 2!!

Those moments when the Actor is Perfect! Walton Goggins - The Ghoul, (Ian McKellen - Gandalf, Hugh Jackman - Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool). MY GOD The Writers and Everyone got this Right. Ella Purnell was Spot On as well! "Okie Dokie!" Clifton Moten was Brilliant too! ( I think my distrust of the Brotherhood, colours my opinion regarding his character 😁 which is also an positive endorsement )

They already have. It'll come out sometime mid 2025. The showrunner, along with Amazon and Bethesda werent prepared for the show to be this popular. So the writers stated that they "are going as fast as they can" for writing and shooting the show.

This was a much better use of the "War never changes" line, than the board meeting scene. At least here he has a point that he's making directly tied to the plot. In the other scene, it's literally just so they can say the logo and pop the audience. She even does the "War... war never changes," pause the exact same way they do in the games. There it's lame. Here, it's impactful.

Likely not the Prydwen, West Coast and East Coast Brotherhood of Steel split from one another ideologically and communicatively (because of said ideological differences) decades before where the show takes place. In all likelihood its a completely different airship that this Chapter of the Brotherhood got ahold of as the Prydwen was far from the only one of its kind and likely still on the complete opposite end of the country.

I was wondering the same thing. I mean if it is still Elder Maxson, one would think he would make his presence known almost immediately...you know, based off what we see of his ego in FO4. Then again, maybe he stayed on the east coast and sent the Prydwen to establish control over the west coast. Its a long shot, but 10 years after FO4 is long enough time to finish up in Boston and then proceed back to the Capitol Wasteland. Im hoping that the true Minutemen ending of FO4 is the canon ending.

It’s not the the Prydwen. But the West coast Elder said they received orders from the Commonwealth to track down the rogue ex-enclave scientist who abandoned the Enclave.

@@LostDisciple24 The show alludes that they are still in Boston when the show starts in 2297. The orders for the Enclave defector came from the Commonwealth. The minutemen most likely blew up the institute and the Bos were spared.

One thing no one mentions here is that moldaver said that the ghoul she just dropped is her own mother. The necklace she is wearing is familiar to Lucy, so that may very well be the case. So she just iced her own mother and is off to get answers from her dad. I don't know exactly what year this takes place in, but yes, I know it's around the time of fallout 3/New Vegas, so maybe they will meet courier 6? It might be an "out of canon" moment, but it would still be nice fan service.

The show is set in 2296 and New Vegas is set in 2281, so the events of New Vegas and Courier 6's journey happened fifteen years ago by this point.

As of July 2024, the writers and showrunners stated that they "are going as fast as possible" with writing and shooting season 2. Assuming this, we probably wont see it til mid 2025 at the earliest.
