Located at the entrance to the third largest harbour in the world, Falmouth's strategic location led to the town being established as one of the most important packet ship ports in the UK from 1689 up until the mid-1800s.
Today, the town retains its maritime importance offering sheltered waters for sailing and diving and regularly hosts sailing events such as the Henri Lloyd Falmouth week and the Pendennis Cup.

I lived there twice and can say out of the all the places i have lived it is closest to my heart, i worked at co-op the pub across the road from the pier, i also worked at trevern care home,it was the happiest i ever was. My name is luke.

Unspoilt white sand beaches? I've lived here for over 30 years, they are ok as beaches go, but there supremely better ones in Cornwall, you cannot say they are some of the best in the world, why that's crazy talk.
