Don’t believe everything Hitogami says :) Rudeus did experience a spiritual phenomenon at Paul’s grave, so Hitogami might simply mistake people’s mana dissipating after their souls leave as their souls dissipating. I think the Author added Rudeus his doubt there at the end of his life simply to state that you should make the most out of your life as there is no do-over afterwards, to make people realize that impact and how Rudeus was still satisfied with his life at the end enough to not care too much about that. The author still hints at spiritual things and fate, so don’t get too worked up about it :)

The spiritual phenomena could have been Paul if we stretch it out a little, although I doubt it (as he said in the video there is no "afterlife" technically, you can remain concious after dying as shown with Rudeus, but the mana that makes up your soul starts vanishing slowly, maybe Paul managed to keep his mana and used it all to make a gust of wind before ceasing to exist forever).

Thing is nobody does. Which is why Orsted decided to seal Hitogami rather than try to kill him cause there's a possibility the realms would collapse since Hitogami had already killed the gods who governed most of the other worlds and had replaced them so probably something else would have to take their place or just keep Hitogami as a puppet god like he decided to do. Hitogami can't interact with anyone except Rudy's soul but his energy still being used to fuel the world.

There's probably a reason the realms need a god so maybe it's getting energy or something from Hitogami while he's in that space especially since he never tried to leave and has just been manipulating the world from there so maybe some powerful Entity has to remain there. Rudy's soul for some reason ended up there again after dying so even in death there's nowhere for him to go so possibly he'll just hang around tormenting Hitogami until his soul fades or for all eternity since we haven't gotten any info on what happens after Hitogami gets sealed yet.

As someone who hasn't read Mushoku Tensei but always watched these kinda shorts, I wanna theorize that the Millis religion is somehow created by Hitogami. Think about it. Considering how Rudeus's kid is prophecized to defeat Hitogami, it makes sense for Hitogami to lower the chances of the birth of such a child. Polygamy, then, is the multiplying factor that he needs to take out. I reckon even introducing "incest is still better than polygamy" is supposed to reduce that chance even further, because we know what happens with children born of incest (at least irl). Tl;dr I think Hitogami benefits the most from the Millis religion, so he was probably the one who created it in the first place.

Unlikely. Rudeus(and other otherworlders) come from outside this world. Any attempts to foresee the future prior to their arrival would only show a future without them, as they are independent of this time axis. Hitogami is no exception, nor is Orsted's regression cycles. If they are to foresee a future with them, it's AFTER these otherworlders enter this world's time axis. Millis religion was created 500+ years prior to Rudeus' arrival, there is no way Hitogami could have foreseen Rudeus' kid being a hero destined to bring him down, much less that the conception of this child would require him taking a second wife. Not to mention, followers of Millis are like the only major human force that Hitogami CAN'T control, because they tell him to buzz off thinking he is some heretical being leading them astray because of their religious belief.

Worst part is due to the fact that he has the Laplace factor means he has God rank level of mana. So casting it would have been no problem at all. Like yes it would have taken away the impact of the true end of the story, that being the end of life of Rudeus, someone's story we read from his very birth but it's BECAUSE we're invested in the character that it hurts all the more. Guy literally lost his existence due to soul being turned into mana (and not only that but literally any other character we read about in the story of Mushoku Tensei - so his parents, Eris and later on Sylphie and Roxy will go through the same). Again, we're supposed to be happy with this conclusion. Granted. Yes. Oblivion isn't something to be feared. After all, is there anyone in RL who remembers what was it like before birth? No. So should we fear if there is no afterlife? Also no. However it must be said that there is a huge note of sadness in the idea that once you're dead, that's it. You can literally experience NOTHING anymore ever again.

There could very well be an afterlife since souls are tangible things, but they may slip past into a different realm no longer connected to this world, from Hitogami's perspective they would just disappear and leave behind mana or other residue from their transportation to a different realm, since Rudy's soul was not so much transported as it found its way to this world because of a crack between worlds. The afterlife could definitely still be a thing, or there could be a cycle or reincarnation, what Hitogami is not exactly to be trusted as he is likely lying to you. From the perspective of the story there is no difference if there is an afterlife or not, Rudy was happy with his life at the end, he loved, he wept, he laughed and he had no regrets at the end.
