@Captaintrippz7 ай бұрын
Just imagine, Garchomp with multiscale.
@redwings134007 ай бұрын
Power creep in pokemon is really interesting because base stats haven't really been power creeped much since gen 1, but movesets and abilities have been ridiculously power crept. This means that older pokemon with good stats still have a chance if they get updated with new moves and new abilities. Gen 1 dragonite didn't survive power creep, but it's been buffed a ton over the years, with physical dragon STAB, dragon dance, extremespeed, a ton of other moveset upgrades, and multiscale. It's also been pretty good at naturally taking advantage of generational gimmicks, with things like supersonic skystrike being the best dynamax move, terra-normal extreme-speed dragonite being ridiculous, and z-moves allowing it to use an insanely powerful dragon type move without having outrage's downsides. So dragonite's gotten a lot of buffs over the years to keep up, even if they weren't flashy buffs like megas. It's for the best, I do enjoy that pokemon does this to help older pokemon stay relevant.
