"Roof" idea... screw a roof! Go for some Awnings, think Roman Coliseum. A ring of awnings with the centeral area still open to the sky. I think this would look fantastic for your base simply because of the open concept and most importantly the shape is perfect for a ring of awnings.

3:55 You got the Eyeblossom cape!! I had such bad lag problems that I couldn’t get to the floor to finish the last challenge of bug squashing. I was sat at my computer teleporting over and over and over x50 min (no exaggeration) teleporting and tubing to the QA department only to find myself back in the lobby. Nearly thought that was it then 10min prior the the end of the event I changed my route. I teleported to the top floor and then down one by one. Made it and squashed many a bug out of frustration. But it was all worth it for that gorgeously haunted cape!

I know that in the past I suggested having a half collapsed dome covering much of your base, though depending on the lore (i.e, how long the original structure sat abandoned before the new inhabitants set up shop) you could easily get away with simply unevenly raising the outer walls to suggest that the structure decayed to the point that none of the old roof remains. It might also look cool if you created some smaller buildings sitting atop the wall, supported by a series of haphazard wooden stilts.

For the wall if we consider it raining on top of there, maybe you could include mossy cobble stone or some vines or and crack up some of the upper area with slabs or stairs to simulate erosion. Especially if you still have the plan that the initial structure was ancient and if the wall is part of that ancient structure, it would be pretty worn down by now. I definitely wouldn't make it a straight line if I were you.

I think you should leave a sign explaining that the -1 diamonds was noted, and 1) he is on a one month shop ban or 2) you take the diamond deficit from one of his shops or 3) you make a contract where he gets the discount on a bulk buy as long as he is getting over a shulker of concrete or 4) take him to court for defrauding a business. Whichever would be funniest/best content. Have an excellent Xmas!
