Yeah! While the new one is cool and I do really like it simply because its green and the creeper face is just a plus, the older special event capes are way cooler even if they maybe don't look super amazing. Those old capes are a fantastic badge of honor to flex with to show you attended an OG MC event... the Iron Golem. Enderman, Piston and the few other random special patterns are way cooler than the ultra common 15th Bday cape. Heck I'm still going to use the migration cape because it looks amazing and goes perfectly with quite a number of my different skins, it has that rpg feel to it that just fits so well. Although I do wish the old special capes had a new rendition thats noticeably different but not ultra drastic, that would be released for the masses. But I'm sure that won't happen, they have other things to worry about. Still I'd love to see a handful of new free capes released every year, it would be sweet to have more choices than nothing, migrator and 15thBday (I refuse to get the twitch or tiktok ones, just not interesting looking to me and screw tiktok)

My favorite thing to do with trap doors is placing them backwards down a long mining hole and then placing ladders on the backs of them to climb on. Makes a super narrow ladder that appears to be in mid air almost. Functional yet space-saving. 😄

ooo for upstairs maybe you could have it be a library/research area? with bookshelves and lecturns full of stuff to make it look like they spent time researching and studying the area- you could even use invisible item frames to make paper be strewn about on the floor

15:45 the biggest most magnificent river needs to be deeper, have diamon ore in the walls, gold in the water, salmons going upstream... the whole deal. And if you have good on the river you can have a prospector as a counterpart for the dock on Beef's shore. I think Generikb's head would do great prospectors!

#riverWallsIdea Maybe springs and underground rivers feed into the rivers here and there = waterfalls, low-roofed caves opening to river with waterfall, changing water levels with additional rocks/rapids using soul sand for “churning water” and lifting up boats #trapDoors Also make vertical slabs when used back to back, admittedly takes the block space they occupy, but opportunities for thin wooden walls, etc.

This is the first season of hermitcraft I have watched (Mumbo, Grian, Xisuma, Skizz, Gem, Cleo, Pearl, and You in that order so far) and I have been plagued by an ever growing confusion the more videos I have watched as the season progressed: _"WHERE are all of these trenches coming from?!"_ But you have answered that and set my mind to ease, it's just Big Business. And you can't blame Ren for yoinking more land, he is just... Um... He is trying to keep the spread of the toxic alien terrain contained! Yeah, gotta protect the other hermits.

If you are looking for a riverside 'treatment' for Beef's side of the river may I suggest a 'functional revetment' style? You could have a very practical masonry retaining wall with areas of disrepair and shoddy repairs. As if it was really well built by the Victorians but has been patched up since, with maintenance being less for the past few decades. A bit like the crumbling canal and river walls we see in various parts of England. The path could even have minor diversions around collapses or slips into the river that made the original pathway unsafe to use. 🖤

I love to see you create areas along the rivers that split from a calm lazy river to a wild river rapids...Oh what if you bring Willie from Deck out to plant him somewhere along a river section maybe near Tango's base, that could be funny to have some reminders appearing near his base of deck out. maybe Tango's Cough might be among some cows in the fields that hermits might come across passing through.... Just a thought 🤔

Falsey! I have an idea for those little docks that dont quite work right. Trapdoors, campfires and slabs are the key... drop in a thin dock right above the water line with a ladder between the new "floating dock" that leads up to the "main dock" thats got posts to keep it stationary. You can use the "lore" that the water level is a bit lower than it used to be so an attached floating dock needed to be added. I made a Murloc Beach Village on a friends server and used this idea to make a janky rickity dock thats about 2-2.5 blocks above the water but has a couple floating docks down on top the water with ladders going up to the main dock. Not only does it look amazing and janky like i wanted but it also adds some functionality for actual boats and not just "lore" based boat builds.

maybe false symmetry could use bundles to keep mailbox chest more organized because bundles could be used to free up space in the mailbox chest by storing it in bundles so she has more room to keep the stamps in the mailbox chest itself for easier access and she could store the message books in bundles to save room and she could keep paper for writing notes in bundles to save more room and generally keeping a bunch of the same item in those bundles to save room and I wonder if you can store shulker boxes in bundles which if that works would save even more room in the mailbox chest. another idea for mailbox storage is barrel near mailbox chest and the barrel could be used as extra storage for some stuff so the mailbox shulker boxes could be stored in the barrel if more storage is actually needed or keep the memento stuff in the barrel so it doesn't take up room in the chest used for storing mailbox stuff.
