Africa could be the leading continent of the planet if its leaders, once in power didn't only think about themselves, their bank accounts and their families, but had for only main thoughts the future of their countries. It's with such leaders that Asia has risen to give such numerous economical powers (China, India, Taiwan, Corea, Malaysia, Turquey, Iran, Singapour, etc...) As long as each african leader that takes the power at the place of the previous one will only care about cashing as much as possible before beeing ejected too (and so forth, beeing bribed and used as a puppet by the current super powers, and multinational corporations), Africa will just keep beein in its current state...

(On his social media platform by the way) This is Nigeria, where dat madam philomena, money vanish from your office 36 million naira , you talk say na animal - this means Where's that madam Philomena, 36 million Naira vanished from your office and you say it was swallowed by an animal (Snake); She was in charge of the JAMB(Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) funds for registration of University applicants Politicians wey steal some billion and billion, e no dey go prison o - meaning Nigerian Politicians who steal/loot billions and billions of dollars/Naira don't go to prison. Police station dey close by six; Security reason o - meaning Police stations in Nigeria closes by 6 p.m because of security reasons (Though it's not all Stations) Young people are still working multiple jobs and dem talk say we lazy o - This means young people work multiple jobs and yet the president said that Youths are lazy ( though the president never said that Literally but said at the commonwealth meeting in london recently that "since Nigeria has been an oil producing country the youths just want to sit down and get schools, food and health care for free) This is Nigeria; there's plenty wahala sha, Fulani herdsmen still dey slaughter, carry people dey massacre - This means there's a lot of trouble in Nigeria, Fulani herdsmen go about Slaughtering people and they Massacre farmers as well. This is Nigeria, Yahoo Yahoo don tear everywhere and we act like it's so cool - This means that Yahoo Yahoo (Internet Fraud/Advance Fee fraud or crime ) is rampant and we act as if it's so cool. This is Nigeria; SARS ( Special Anti-Robbery Squad) stop you for road , any explanation you go talk am for station o - meaning Whenever you're stopped on the road by SARS you have to Explain yourself to them at their Station, there's nothing you say that can set you free until you get to their Station. I hope I've done justice to the pidgin for those that understand pidgin English. This is not the first Falz music about the social ills in Nigeria so for those saying he's a copycat you should check out his other song titled Wehdone Sir. To the ones callling this a rip off, first of all, he has acknowledged Childish in his caption. Secondly I believe childish started a kind of movement where lyrics and the video will point out wrongs in society without being overly direct about it, giving us the notion that society is looking in the wrong place while injustice is abounding..... i personally find this outstanding.... cant wait for the many background theories and explanations to begin.
@JoelAkrong6 жыл бұрын
Seni Joshua sorry, I didn't say he was the originator of it. I am aware of this being present since the birth of music itself.... what I said was he has started a movement. .... and we must admit it is peculiar to him, the way he did it... otherwise it would not have blown up so massively the way it has. Setting a trend, so that others try to imitate something as closely as they possibly can... or to identify specifically with what you put out there in your work is the definition of starting a movement...

@beatzbythellO6 жыл бұрын
DJKessyKing nobody's taking money from the poor congregation to set up schools for rich kids. tithes and offerings are different from seed that are down into the minister's life. titihes and offerings are used for the welfare of the church. the expensive universities were funded from the ministers personal account. So its different, besides building a school that standard costs a lot of money. You can expect him to make it free after doing it, BTW there are scholarships for the ones who can't afford. You all should stop talking trash about you don't know

The end part just hit the nail on the head. It’s sooooo annoying that Church members would contribute for a particular purpose (eg to build a school) and the leaders of the church would build the school and fix the fees so high that majority of the people that contributed to the success of the project can’t afford to send their children there. This is all in the name of making excess profit, which would now be used to buy luxury items and live big lives . It’s such a disappointment 🤦🏻♀️

Even worse, is the government continuously looting funds meant for maintaining schools and other sectors... Yet this church of less than 1% population of Nigeria's population have schools are way better of them in such a very short time. Address the main issue.
@goodluckmaduabuchiokwara10346 жыл бұрын
Listen you are not forced to continue in that church. No church came to your house with cane and say if you don’t attend we will kill you. Stay in your house if you don’t want to go. So many Nigerian are religious bigotries. On Sunday if you don’t go to church you are a sinner. Churches are open more than industries and factories because we believe when we pray God will open a way for you where there is no way and we will sit at church no work and be praying on top our voices. Sister use that your Sunday offering put them together and start a side hustle and stop pointing to the church. The church tell people what the want to hear and the join. Like when you toast woman you tell her what she wants to hear and she is all yours.

This is what I like about places in Africa and India. They're not afraid to mainstream their problems, instead of covering it up like many places in the world do. Song was well done. That's how to do it, make the song hit an international audience and then embarrass the hell out of the politicians who run the country into doing something to change it.

discoguru Take UNICEF India's release of the 'poo to the loo' song. Most countries would find it embarrassing to even release a video about their obesity issue, and instead mask everything with "please no body shaming" or "big is beautiful." Indians are so open about their issues that they let international journalists in everywhere to a point everyone around the world knows about poverty in India. How many people know about poverty in China or Eastern Europe? Not many.

ITeKs I'm aware it's a cover to 'This is America' by Childish Gambino. That doesn't negate the fact that a Nigerian (Jamaican too) created a parody/satire of the negative aspects of their country. India and Africa's problems are mainstreamed all over the international news. They're very quick to shame themselves. This is one reason why many problems such as malnourishment, homelessness, and open defecation are going down each year in these nations. Obesity rate, divorce rate, opioid crisis, etc. is going up in the west.

This is Equatorial Guinea 🇬🇶 where one nation is controlled by one family, from the president to the V.P, to ministers all officials are related. V.P (son of the president) is even an instagram playboy😭😭. We even have oil and gas but our president goes to Brazil for medical treatment😢
