Hey I was your third opponent with the Izzet deck, cool to see you trophied at the Open. I ended up going 2-2 off our match. At the end of game 2, I had Crackle with Power and I was debating casting it for X=1 and swinging with Lilah but it felt like you had removal, I decided it'd be safer to wait for one more land and cast it for X=2 but I wasn't expecting lethal. Nice! Kenji says he does not play perfectly and I know what he means, but at the same time he's narrating the whole time. I tried to comment on how to draft once to show my friends the basics and it was not easy at all to keep track of everything. Let's just say that lots of mistakes where made. Yep -- I do have realized that double strike is good - been plying with red cards with that .. but that one can untap creatures that saddled something with it also to make them attack as well did not think of that before even tho the art kinda shows those kind of shenanigans going on.. :D

Great content. Enjoyed seeing the success after watching you have a lot of unpleasant time in this format. I wonder if making sealed the gateway to the $ games is a business decision. The high variability in pools means a wide group of medium players have a punchers chance, motivating them to gem up. And experts can fall to variance meaning they have to make more tries on average. Win-win financially for Hasbro. I'm always curious about the Arena business model and would love to see their financial analytics.

at 1:03:18 you could sacrifice the treasure and counter Derailment completely, no?

that type of trick only works when ALL *targets* of a spell aren't there at resolution for instance if derailment said "destroy target artifact, draw a card" I would be able to sac the treasure to counter it, but because the actual derailment is also targeting a creature it will still try to accomplish as much as it can
